folkmore! A magical pocket realm created by a Fox entity known as Thirteen. Thirteen has combed through the universe and gathered individuals she sees enormous potential in whether it's for the greater good or the greater evil or neither! She believes every sentient being has a role to play in maintaining the balance of the universe and wants to provide characters the opportunity to the best versions of themselves - no matter what that might look like!To do that, she has placed them in this magical world filled with every kind of environment and a variety of Schools to help characters meet their potential. Every month, the Fox will create a unique Trial that serves as game event to challenge characters through various genre-inspired prompts. You can anticipate anything ranging from fantasy to horror to science fiction to smut to slice of life trials. All prompts will be entirely optional and while we encourage having fun with smut, this is generally not a sex game and no event will be 100% smut-based. You can enjoy the game completely smut-free/gen!
Upon entrance to the setting, characters will be categorized into unique Roles that generally represent Good, Bad, and Neutral - although it might not be as straightforward as it seems! Players are encouraged to thoroughly explore this concept and use it as the foundation of their character's storyline in this game. Characters will be granted new attributes and possible abilities through their roles - consider it Thirteen blessing them with a bit of a leg up!
This is a private invite-only game - but don't worry! We hold monthly Invite Cycles where our current playerbase can extend one invite per month (or more if they choose to purchase an invite slot). If you don't know anyone in the game but are highly interested, feel free to contact us at the time Invites open and we can arrange the details.
There is no Activity requirements for this game. We want to create a very relaxed atmosphere where players can worry about having fun rather than keeping track of tags. We do require players check-in monthly so we know who is still interested and who might have lost touch.
As a fun incentive for maintaining high activity in the game, we have created an IC spending system known as Spoons where you can use your tags to purchase fun things in the game's setting! Don't stress it if that's not your thing - it's completely optional and if you'd rather just handwave the use of your character's spoons, then that's fine too!
I (Milk) have created this game as a shameless love story to Taylor Swift, Studio Ghibli productions, folklores, myths, legends, and storytelling. I want to embrace the side of role-playing that relies on player innovation, creativity, and enthusiasm. I wanted to create a more flexible space for my friends and me to enjoy. If you've been invited to this space - welcome! I'm really excited to have you here! Thank you so much for your interest and I hope you'll be a good fit for the atmosphere!
I really wanted this game to be about how fun it is to have headcanons and how fun alternate universes can be. It's the heart of fandom interaction for me and enjoying yourself, respecting each other, and just doing what really interests you. This is what I like to think of as a softcore game where the entire point is to just...vibe!
While a lot of the events will be lighter in tone, I'm still me so you can absolutely expect some fucked up flavors of the month from time to time! I will be modding this game with the usual suspects and if anyone ever is interested in helping out whether on the Spoons page or app reading or anything of the sort, let me know!
Again, thank you for everyone who has shown interest. I really hope this game is a great time for all involved! I am absolutely psyched for this project.

May 10th @ 12:01 AM EST: Reserves to invited players open. You will need a link to your invite from this post. You can reserve up to 3 characters at a time. This will operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
May 15th @ 12:01 AM EST: Reserves will close. Applications will open to invited players. You can apply up to 3 characters at a time. All players are limited to 3 characters until they purchase additional character slots (optional). You can apply as a character that has been reserved. We do not do challenge apps. This is otherwise a first-come, first-serve basis.
May 20th @ 11:59 PM EST: Applications close.
May 22nd: An introductory pre-open event will be posted.
May 25: Our first Story of Us will be posted which will provide the game's first CR meme and open up June's Invite Cycle which will last until June 1st. All accepted players will be able to extend one invite or more if they have purchased any through our spoons system.
June 1st @ 12:01 AM EST: Official game open. Reserves to June Invites open.
June 5th @ 12:01 AM EST: Reserves close. Applications open.
