Now, I wouldn't be too quick to judge... With the way things are around here, you never know. Those baby birds might actually be her children.

You know, you have a point...I just assumed maybe she really liked animals?

Even if she is just an animal lover, I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with her bringing her pet birds on the bus.

Oh, I don't either! I'm just wondering if it's rude to stare. But they're cute. :(

Well, staring is rude in most cases, just in general. But I don't think you would be out of line to turn to her and tell her that her birds are cute!

I might wait until she's done feeding them! I don't want to interrupt...

That's probably for the best. You wouldn't want to distract them from their meal.

I know a fair amount! Why do you ask?

I guess I am! I did name my kids after two birds, after all. And my first pet was a parrot named Beanie!

They're twelve! They'll be thirteen later this year.

When I was a kid I used to go beetle hunting a lot. I heard Americans don't do that as much though?

No, I don't think most American kids do that. They're mostly concerned with playing Fortnite on their Gameboys.

I used to go looking for neat animals and rocks when I was a kid, though! Whenever I could sneak away to do it.

That's so weird to think about! I mean, a childhood without catching beetles.

I had no idea it was such a popular past time in Japan!

Maybe it was just my area? Bug-catching was just something all of us did, at least the boys. But we lived right near this wooded area, so.

The woods are great. You can find all kinds of neat animals and plant life in forest climes!

Honestly we chose to live in the hobbit burrows because I liked how cozy and sort of natural they are!

That did seem really appealing. In the end, I decided to settle down in Talaria, mostly because it's close to Exile, so I can get to the school there more easily.
