When I was a kid I used to go beetle hunting a lot. I heard Americans don't do that as much though?

No, I don't think most American kids do that. They're mostly concerned with playing Fortnite on their Gameboys.

I used to go looking for neat animals and rocks when I was a kid, though! Whenever I could sneak away to do it.

That's so weird to think about! I mean, a childhood without catching beetles.

I had no idea it was such a popular past time in Japan!

Maybe it was just my area? Bug-catching was just something all of us did, at least the boys. But we lived right near this wooded area, so.

The woods are great. You can find all kinds of neat animals and plant life in forest climes!

Honestly we chose to live in the hobbit burrows because I liked how cozy and sort of natural they are!

That did seem really appealing. In the end, I decided to settle down in Talaria, mostly because it's close to Exile, so I can get to the school there more easily.

Oh, that's a good reason! I just chose, you know, what seemed most homey? It was that or the modern apartments but I wanted a garden.

I got a garden too, on the roof over my patio! The house is really small, but there's a very economical use of space.

I'm very new to gardening since I used to live in an small apartment and then the dorms, so maybe you could give me tips if you like?

Sure! Most of my gardening is boosted by a little druidic magic here and there, but I could at least get you started learning the basics!

Are you teaching the druidic magic at the school?

I am! Beginner level druid magic lessons, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Baba Yaga.

(And I also teach Earth Sciences at Kuma Lisa on Mondays and Wednesdays, if you're interested in that.)

I'm actually interested in both things! I'll have to look into it.

Be prepared for lots of meditation for the druid class, though!

Does meditation help with anxiety? I've heard it does.

It can!
Is anxiety something you struggle with?

Well, sometimes. I get really nervous?

I know what that's like. I can get nervous sometimes, too, and sort of "freak out" when things get too stressful.

Meditation can be good for balancing emotions. But it only works if you really want to do it for yourself. No one can force you into it.

[ He knows that from experience. ]

I'd definitely like to try it! I mean how will I know how it feels to me without giving it at least one go right?
