TEXTS FROM LAST NIGHT

Welcome to Folkmore's monthly Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.

This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

That sounds so awkward. And painful.

Maybe you have a point though, her knuckles were pretty scuffed up. She told me that was from fighting with a cat though.

Right. Was it a talking cat or a house cat, because I could understand if it was a talking one. Some get real mouthy despite their small stature.

Knowing here it was probably a talking cat.

[A disturbingly hot talking cat.]

I hope she protected her eyes. Those guys will go straight for them when drunk enough.

[ Seriously, drunk alfiq are no joke. She knows one who wears an eyepatch, but who knows if that's because of a barfight or if she tripped face first into something while wasted. ]

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-05 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
What, really?

I guess I shouldn't be shocked, they are cats after all. And eyes are sort of fair game in a rough fight.
ebonheart: (deep thoughts)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-05 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
They really are. I see a fair number of people with eyepatches around. Anyway, your friend. Did she tell you how she got out of that mess?
thorncrown: (016)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-05 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Mostly by me opening the front door this morning.
ebonheart: (pressure points)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-05 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, that would do it. I guess the how will remain a mystery.
thorncrown: (092)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-05 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
At least until the next time it happens anyhow.
ebonheart: (pressure points)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-05 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe you need a kind of alarm to let you know when she's stuck in the door.
thorncrown: (095)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-05 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[... Pff.]

What, like some sort of buzzer? Or a camera?
ebonheart: (spell orb)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-06 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. Why not? It'd get her out of trouble faster.
thorncrown: (053)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-06 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
[She's full on chewing on her lip now to not laugh out loud.]

We'll name it after her then. It'll be her special 'Trapped in the Door' alarm.

And if it's a success you can sell it to the masses. Surely everyone has that one friend who needs it.
thorncrown: (142)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-06 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Don't tell me there's an epidemic of people getting stuck in doors!
ebonheart: (pressure points)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-06 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
If not doors, than windows, hedges, under the sofa.
thorncrown: (063)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-06 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Okay, now she does have to laugh.]

You're not speaking from personal experience, are you?
ebonheart: (spell orb)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-06 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Let's just say I know a ship's captain who has spent more time lying under a sofa than on it.

[ His own fault, really. He refuses to acknowledge that he can't hold his liquor. ]
thorncrown: (024)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-06 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Here's to hoping he waits until after the ship is docked then.
ebonheart: (pressure points)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-06 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
Don't we all.

I'm kidding about that part. He has a stalwart boatswain who keeps him in check. But I'm sure she's appreciate an alarm.
thorncrown: (054)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-06 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
I guess everyone needs a good partner in the end to keep them in check now and then, haha.

Not that I've ever ended up under a couch before.
ebonheart: (dark vigor)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-06 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Me either. A bed on the other hand...

But to be fair, I wasn't drunk. I was hiding.
thorncrown: (072)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-06 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
They do make good hiding spaces, that's true.
ebonheart: (see the unseen)

[personal profile] ebonheart 2022-07-06 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Okay, she's sort of relived that she wasn't asked why she was hiding. ]

Maybe your friend can retreat there if she's feeling embarrassed after getting stuck in the door.
thorncrown: (079)

[personal profile] thorncrown 2022-07-08 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Should I clear out the underside of my bed then? That's where I hide the good alcohol.
