TEXTS FROM LAST NIGHT

Welcome to Folkmore's monthly Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.
This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

Well, it's just him and me. Mom left us when I was a baby and dad's picked up the slack ever since. So I think he deserves a narwhal plushie. He'll put it on his desk at the station along with the twentieth "Best Dad Ever" mug I gave him for a present.

...Maybe I'm accustomed to children, though. The theme park is always full of them whenever we perform, even if they're a good audience during the show.
Anyway! Forgive my terribly rude assumption; if you're interested, then you're free to come over to my lab! It's not really a lab, but a garage I've taken over. No weed, nothing to worry about, just two friends taking apart robots and rebuilding them better than ever. I have quite a few old projects depending on the level you want to jump in at! And maybe if I try winning your father over, he'll be more likely to let you visit a boy's house. Even if my parents are there too, and I'm the younger party (●ˇ∀ˇ●)
I'll give his narwhal plushie a very masculine ribbon, so that he won't get ribbed by his colleagues. I don't want to cause him trouble when he sounds like he deserves plenty of respect and then some.
(CW: death)
I'd love to go to your lab. I don't have much experience with robotics, but my BFF back home was constantly rebuilding cars and sometimes he'd let me help. Some of the skills have to be transferable, right? And let's see, probably should start me on the beginner level, just to be on the safe side. And not to worry your parents, I really don't want to be a cougar. [unless Jacob Black is involved]
Perfect! And he does. He's been a father and a mother to me for as long as I can remember. And after something...happened to Sarah Black, he started helping with Rachel, Rebecca, and Jacob, too. But I don't know how much help he can be to Leah and Seth with their dad now gone. It's kind of one of those things he can't be told, for his own safety.

...Which is to say that yes! I'm a director and actor in a troupe at Phoenix Wonderland ο(=•ω<=)ρ⌒☆ And I do guerrilla performances in my off-hours! It's the best.
You'll have a respect for the parts that make the whole, and the tools; I definitely have no objections to letting you at my earlier projects! They're a little simpler, but should still have enough meat on them that you won't be bored or insulted. (And don't worry about my parents; I have my best friend over every other day to practice, so I think they trust me around girls anyway. I also can't bear to get in the road of a good love story, you know?)
Your father really is a special man, isn't he? I figured as much, since he raised you and all, but I didn't really understand quite how much...If there's anything that I can help with to make his life easier or better, please let me know. It's people like him who deserve to smile the most.

...Phoenix? Is that a general name or a location? Renee lives in Phoenix, Arizona. But guerrilla performances are awesome. Jake snuck me into one at LaPush and it blew my mind. ( ✿◠‿◠ )
Wow. I really can't say how much I'm looking forward to this. I mean, I never really was much of a joiner at school, no matter what it was, but this really sounds like something I want to join. And I'm sure you can charm my dad into making this happen without him really getting angry at me or you.
He's very special. He's so special. He was my mom and dad since I was a baby and he's always been my biggest cheerleader, if that thought isn't too weird. And I guess if there's a red-haired vampire named Victoria you run into, it would be great if you could stop her or at least slow her down or something. Then Jake and [the wolves] will take care of the rest.

Oh, I forgot that there would be places called Phoenix...This is just a general name, and the mascot for the park is Phenny the phoenix! It's a fantastic place, and even before I was employed there, I loved sneaking in and performing ~illegally~. There's just an extra thrill about guerrilla performances that I can't quite quit, so I'm glad that it's just as fun for the audience (o゚v゚)ノ
Worst comes to worst and I only unsettle your father, I could at least make up a little care package of books with the fundamentals, a good toolkit, and one of the drones. The important part is that you get to study something at your own pace, and in your own fashion. Creating something is always worthwhile, don't you think?
Just so we're clear.
You're asking me to do something dangerous on purpose, at least in the context of this Victoria character.
I have permission to do something dangerous? I'm very good at this, just that it's typically accidental. Or if not, then I can at least provide extra surveillance. Either way, I'm on the case; your biggest cheerleader is safe!

That's what I was hoping for. By then, Jake should be through with his formal automotive repair training and we can get a decent-sized house in Forks. Or LaPush if his family prefers it that way. Any of our kids should probably go to the reservation school anyway since they'll be half-Quileute. That way, they can learn more about their culture, their background, and the Quileute language.
And I like that! A phoenix is a great symbol anyway since no matter how down and out a person might feel, a phoenix could give them hope that they can go beyond their circumstances and into something better. And you're a great performer, are you already in Hollywood?
It's always worthwhile. I've never really created something before. So this will be a first! But if Jake comes, I can tell him about it, right?
Surveillance! That should be fine! Just while dad's working nights at the station!

This future sounds like a dream, I won't lie. To be with someone you love, to have a family and settle down, to celebrate who you all are and work a job that you love and can change people's lives with...I was already wishing all the best for you, of course, but now I can't wait to see you and Jake live this life.
Maybe I'll send your children some of the merchandise from the park! It's quite popular with park-goers young and old. I'd rather stay at Phoenix Wonderland than go to Hollywood or the like, anyway. Here, I can have such a direct effect on people, and see their reactions myself. I also have creative control. But in Hollywood...I don't know if there's a place for directors such as myself.
Actually, bring Jake along! And tell him all about it, if he's interested. He's more than welcome to try his hand at one of my older drones as well! The two of you could make things beyond even my wildest dreams, don't you think? And maybe we could make enough surveillance drones that you'd never have to worry about your family's safety ever again.

Thank you. I'm a little scared of approaching Jake about it because he's still young and I'm still young, but I can't help but see that as being the natural path of my life. And whenever we're together, it's as easy as breathing. I can't imagine that with any other guy.
I'm sure they'd appreciate that. I want three children, two girls and a boy, if I can. I'm certain they'd love to hear from you, both from a distance and together. I know I'm putting the cart in front of the horse somewhat, but my great-great ancestor was Quileute. I may not be able to apply for tribal membership, but I still care for the tribe as if I were fully their own.
I will! I'm sure he'd have fun with the drones, we don't have anything like that in Forks or LaPush. And I can't help liking the idea of every important moment saved, even if it's a drone using mega-close-up. I'm sure I can bring Jake around to the idea.
((OOC: please, please, please app. If you need an invite, feel free to contact me at argustar on plurk))

You know, if I ever get the chance to visit your family and tribe, perhaps I could help with teaching the younger generation about any of the stories that get passed down? With appropriate consultation, of course, and permission. Any good, strong tree starts out with solid roots, however, and your passion for nurturing your own is inspiring, to be honest!
Wait, you don't have drones out there? Really? Okay, that settles it. If I can find a good quality camera for actual recording, instead of merely serving as eyes for my drones, then I'll whip you up something that'll allow for absolutely cinematic family videos.
And protection. Both! Both is good.
[Aaaah I'd love an invite, this thread's been such a joy! Is a pp okay, or would you prefer me to friend you first? ngl this is my first invite-only game that I didn't already have a friend in so I'm new to this Process :') ]
(CW: death)
I'd love that. Granted, there are still things I can't do because I'm white, but lately, they've been letting me sit in on council meetings. I don't think I'm expected to say much, but maybe it's like they already see the writing on the wall, that I'm not going anywhere. And any stories, songs, legends that can be preserved would be a huge benefit. You're so nice, though, that makes me smile.
No? I don't know if it's important, but I'm from it's 2008? The only people I know who have smartphones are the Cullens and that's because they're obscenely rich. It helps to have someone who can see the future when it's time to play the stock market. And a camera would work! This is going to sound silly, but fishing trips would probably be the best. Dad brings me, Billy brings Jacob, and Leah and Seth come on their own. Maybe as a way of remembering their dad since he passed not too long ago.
((OOC: awesome, I'm having so much fun with it, too! and a PP should work, I'm on plurk as argustar. I should get the notif when I get the PP and we can work things out from there!))
