Because I win. I got banned from gambling parlors for not cheating.

How do you get banned for not cheating? Did they want you to cheat or something?

I won too much. They couldn't ban me for cheating (that would've been preferable). Sometimes I couldn't even sit at a table. They'd ID me and kick me out.

That's not fair. Especially if you weren't hurting anyone. Maybe don't advertise that part when you look for card-playing buddies?

You could say I was hurting them. They needed to make money. No, no, everyone can learn that part on their own.

Some, sure. But we were the same faction. Not supposed to rob each other. Besides, what did I need to spend that money on?

That sounds awful. How did you break free?

I was killed with an exotic weapon that provides a means to... bring me back. I was, in time, brought back. In the process it gave me a body again. From there, well, it's breaking free.

That sounds very brutal, Jedao. I can't begin to imagine that kind of impact that it must have had on your life. I'm glad you're free now.

I was an assassin, general, and traitor under an authoritative regime. I knew what I was getting into, but I am glad to be here. Folkmore's a much nicer place. [ Hell felt similar, honestly. ] I'm glad you're here too.
