Cipher Nine | Star Wars the Old Republic | Familiar

Self Introduction: o/ Hey, I'm DiscordCryptid and I'm a 30-something person from Norway. I enjoy playing games (most recent obsession is BG3), anime and especially isekais of both the good and bad variety, writing, and drawing. And Star Wars, obviously, with a heavy lean toward the Old Republic era or anything to do with Chiss.
Character Name: Cipher Nine
Canon/Canon Point: Star Wars the Old Republic - Post-Ziost, but pre-Knights of the Fallen Empire. Canon AU but the only thing that's different is that I play him as being nonbinary (defaults to male pronouns, but will accept any pronouns/gendered descriptions being used for him, more or less).
Character Appearance: Image Ref! His most notable features would be the red eyes and the scar that cuts both down and across his face and all the freckles. Other than that, he's also short (as in 5'1" short) and leans overall sort of feminine for his appearance and the way he presents himself to others.
General Personality: Kind of distant and aloof, defaults to gentle snark, and then ramps it up from there if he's in a bad mood or dislikes someone. Tends to put all the walls up to keep people at a distance and when he's not playing a particular role tends to be most comfortable sort of slinking off into the shadows to do his own thing. Deadpan snarker who's equal parts proud and avoidant, more or less. Perhaps a bit paranoid, but he is part of the Chiss Ascendancy's secret police, working for Imperial Intelligence to spy on the Sith Empire for his people from the inside, and also the right hand man of the Sith Darth Jadus and with loyalties that scattered, some paranoia is sensible.
Character Powers: Species traits in the form of eyesight that goes into the infrared, quick reflexes, somewhat sharper hearing, a low body temperature and the ability to handle cooler temperatures in general, as well as a mind resistant to being read. Non-species trait powers is an immunity to mind control or brainwashing due to having been through that whole song and dance before only to do it to himself and program himself to always be free.
Character Role: Familiar!
Living Area: Satori Hills seems most likely.
Character's Potential: Without anyone else influencing him, Nine is most likely to settle into neutrality. He's selfish and self-serving and if he sees an opportunity to grab some sort of advantage for himself, he'll bend over backwards to get it, but he's also rarely motivated to go out and do evil for evil's sake. He's also pretty easily influenced to do good assuming his ego gets stroked for it, if he gets some sort of reward... Or if the individual benefiting from said good is innocent enough that being cruel would make him feel bad. So more or less he likes to lean evil when the reward is great and the particular act of evil is impersonal enough that he doesn't need to think about the damage he's doing, and lean good when dealing directly with people he finds sympathetic or who can find the correct way to suck up to him.
Initial Plans: Just getting him settled for now! He has been through some stuff at home so his immediate instinct tends to be getting his bearings and figuring out of how to handle himself in a new place.

Tbf he won't be looking to start any trouble at least, trouble is for when you have a very powerful patron to go hide behind when things go sideways and there's no Sith coattails to ride here as far as Nine is aware.

Self Introduction: Hihi I'm Box and I love KNB deeply. I'm on my third rewatch and I'm due for a manga reread, and I still feel like I haven't consumed it enough. I'm also a big Yu-Gi-Oh! series fan (DM through Arc-V atm), my favorite being GX. Themes involving the power of friendship really get to me. I play video games sometimes (love me some Kingdom Hearts and FFVII in particular) and have a good chunk of secondhand knowledge of Dragon Age. I'm a line cook and will be trying out college again this semester.

Canon/Canon Point: Kuroko's Basketball, Episode 75.5 (his birthday episode!)
Character Appearance: Kuroko is 5'6", appears weak and unassuming, and due to his incredible lack of presence is pretty hard to see! He'll easily sneak up on you if you're not very aware of your surroundings. Here's five and a half minutes of this happening. His hair is always a mess and he has a deadpan expression most of the time.

General Personality: Kuroko's a good and generally polite guy, he's supportive and wants to help out his friends, both on and off the court. He'll rush into dangerous situations if it means standing up for others. He loves basketball more than anything, it's seriously his favorite thing in the world. He's pretty blunt and might come off as serious, but he's just very neutral sounding/looking. He's ambitious, clever, loves to win, and believes strongly in the power of team play/teams in general. I picked his username based on a joke I like to make that he's a "I can fix him"-type since he goes through his five evil exes with intent to show them his way of basketball is superior. Kuroko's also got a sense of humor and can be a menace ("Kuroko Tetsuya is a Little Shit" has 100 works on AO3 for a reason). He describes himself as a "shadow" that will bring out the "light" in other players to make them shine and stand out, but specifically one player will be his designated "light" to partner with him. His previous and current "light"s both have an undying passion for basketball, so this is what Kuroko looks for in a man.
Character Powers: Oh boy. KNB is ridiculous. Kuroko's skills in basketball include passing and misdirection, but since this is anime these skills get blown to extra flashy. He can palm-punch a basketball across the court with total accuracy, misdirect players' attention so much that he appears totally invisible/able to vanish and suddenly reappear, and in rare cases direct all the attention to himself to take attention off others. He can also do some simple magic tricks and make a mean boiled egg.
Please observe his Ignite Pass Kai. This is basketball.
Character Role: Familiar! He has the same ears/tail as Tetsuya #2 and sharper canine teeth for little fang action
Living Area: I thiiink I'm putting him in the Burrows/Lapine or Satori Hills
Character's Potential: Kuroko has the potential to be a hero-type, but I'm throwing him in neutral since that's how he is in new situations with new people. At the point he's from, he's done a lot of growing and strengthening, so I think he'll have a fairly chill time just existing and going about a day-to-day. For example, he's not going to be searching for a "light" to his "shadow" since he has that securely in someone already.
Initial Plans: No idea, honestly! I wanna go with the flow and have fun with this little phantom who will seek out a way to play basketball immediately.

Self Introduction: Hello! I'm Lauren and I also play Malcolm Bright here. I'm a school counselor at a high school who is trying not to be perpetually stressed. Character Name: Miriam "Midge" Maisel
Canon/Canon Point: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel/End of S3 (and I actually haven't watched S4 or 5 yet so avoiding spoilers would be wonderful thank you).
Character Appearance: 60s housewife boss bitch realness
General Personality: Midge is a stand up comedian from 1960. I know! A woman! Is funny! She lives in NYC and comes from a rich Jewish family. She looks fierce 24/7. After her husband cheated on her with his secretary, Midge decided that instead of helping him to become a stand up comic, she should use all those jokes she's writing for herself. Her comedy is mostly observational and situational. It's borderline crass for 1960, though we wouldn't find it very offensive today. Midge tends to speak her mind pretty openly. She has a quick wit. Back home, she's on the verge of making it big, though she isn't quite there yet.
Character Powers: She has no super human powers. Her greatest human-esque powers are her comedy and her brisket cooking ability.
Character Role: Familiar, not sure about traits yet. I might have her traits mirror the traits of people she becomes close to.
Living Area: Probably Satori Hills since that's the place that is most like a city here. She's a city girl.
Character's Potential: Midge isn't a villain, but I'm not sure if she's a hero, either. She's trying to be the best human person that she can be. Right now, she's struggling with how to balance her life as a mother with her career and doesn't feel like she's succeeding in either of them.
Initial Plans: A network post to start, so she can marvel at the magic of technology. Then, I'd like to find a place for her to do some stand up.

Canon/Canon Point: End of Act 2.
Character Appearance: The boy! Tav is a high half-elf, which is pretty much a human with pointy ears and great cheekbones. He's 5'10 and shows nooooo signs of tadpole consumption because. ew. Ew, no.
General Personality: Tav is more or less played to the Right Moral Choice throughout all of BG3! He's generally a neutral good type, and is really into the idea of greater good without grandstanding. He's about as openminded as you can get, but suffers from an open love of chaos, is impulsive, and way, way, way too curious to have survived this far, really. His wisdom's also abysmal despite the fact he's group therapist.
He's also a giant nerd. Give him books, give him history, give him things to discover and learn, and he'll adore you.
Character Powers: Quite a few, as it goes! Tav is a wild magic sorcerer, which means he's got a lot of magical ability but it can go very, very wrong. At any moment. And it tends to.
Character Role: I went with Legend, since he's the goodiest of two-shoes.
Living Area: Unsure at present! I'll see if any potential CR provides anything good.
Character's Potential: Tav's absolutely going to be a heroic type. My dream for him is setting him up with the means to document and study Folkmore because neeeeeeEEEEEeeeeeeeerd, and also to potentially get him going with magical experimentation / enchantments and such.
Initial Plans: For a start, I'd love him to meet like-minded people! Bring me your dorks.
Roxas | Kingdom Hearts | Myth

Self Introduction: Let's see, I'm a professional writer by trade and live with my four zany furchildren (Toby, Haru, Rin and Sakura). I have a job that can both demanding and easy-going at the drop of a hat. So my weekdays can be wonky. I love angst and digging into the psychology of characters. My current obsessions are sk8, The Magnus Archives, Free!, Kingdom Hearts and Code Geass. Oh and I am currently playing Final Fantasy 16, my first FF since FF10. :o I'm so excited to play with everyone here!
Character Name: Roxas
Canon/Canon Point: Kingdom Hearts (Post-KH3)
Character Appearance: Image Ref!
General Personality: Roxas has only been alive for about 2-3 years, if we're counting his time in Sora's Heart. His knowledge of the world is extremely limited since it was either only what he was able to pick up while with the Organization and whatever false memories Naminé imprinted him with. That said, he is super curious and wants to learn/experience as much as possible. He's also a bit blunt and brusque, with a short fuse and an explosive temper when pushed far enough. He is cautious to trust due to being lied to for most of his existence, but once you earn his trust, he's fiercely protective. He's also very distrustful of technology due to being trapped in a digital world and brainwashed. Yep. This likely results in nightmares and moments of doubting he's actually here. Oh and his view on morality is a bit... askew due to being largely raised by a villainous cult. Oops. The last big thing is his sense of self, which can be shaky at times due to being part of Sora for so long and having so many people tell him who he should be.
Character Powers:
Keyblade Dual-Wielding: Roxas can summon a keyblade but unlike other keyblade users, he is a dual-wielder (meaning he uses two keyblades at the same time) and is basically a powerhouse. His keyblades of choice are Oathkeeper and Oblivion. His intensity when fighting gives him the highest attack modifier in Kingdom Hearts 3 at 20. Roxas has incredible endurance and has shown the ability to quickly regain consciousness after being knocked out in combat.
Light: As a former Nobody, he has the attribute of light and can harness light into devastating attacks. He can glide at super fast speeds and control 13 sword-shaped shields of light energy which connect to form a laser array. He can levitate his keyblades in the air and whirl and spin them rapidly for attacks or defense, even creating a ring of damage just by twirling them in a circle.
Limit Break: The Final Limit causes him to summon pillars of light which fire in all directions. Magic Hour causes Roxas to leap into the air and summon large pillars of light to hammer the battlefield. In the Final Limit, the pillars of light intensify and grow larger.
Magic: He is proficient in the use of all Kingdom Hearts 1 elemental spells (Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga, Graviga, Aeroga, Curaga, Stopga) as well as Waterga/Waterza from KH3, if he feels like using them.
Physical Abilities: All of Sora's Kingdom Hearts 1 move sets (with the exception of Zantetsuken since that's obtained after Hollow Bastion) and the ability to literally run up buildings.
Dark Corridors: As a Nobody, he can also theoretically still traverse worlds through Dark Corridors, but he won't be able to use them to escape the world of Folkmore.
Character Role: Myth because of that Organization XIII background.
Living Area: Unsure for now but he'll likely want to be close to Axel.
Character's Potential: Roxas is still largely figuring out his life. Destiny has dubbed him a Guardian of the Light but he's not entirely sure what that means to him, especially since he used to belong to the Darkness. He will be inclined to help people since that's in his Sora-influenced nature so that could lead him to more good deeds. But his main focus is learning and experiencing the world! He also just generally wants to be able to spend time with his friends. The idea is to get him more familiarized with the world around him so he can better understand his place is in it and who he is.
Initial Plans: I'm a go with the flow type of RPer. But I would like him to get coaxed into dealing with technology. :3 And of course running into his fellow Orgs!
Beauregard "Beau" Lionett | Critical Role | Legend

Self Introduction: Hello peeps, I'm a queer in her 30s who likes DND podcasts. Talk to me about video games (love Bioware, Pokemon, recently been playing Cult of the Lamb) or whatevs. If I'm not rping I'm probably spending time on Grundo's Cafe, an early 2000's era Neopets clone.
Character Name: Beauregard (Beau) Lionett
Canon/Canon Point: Critical Role (campaign 2), episode 141 before the timeskip.
Character Appearance: Check her permissions page! It's all noted there including clips of her voice.
General Personality: Beau is... kind of the worst, unfortunately. She's abrasive, distrusting, and never stops asking questions even if it gets her punched in the face. Luckily for everyone around, her friends are here (Caleb, Caduceus, Mollymauk, and Fjord) so no one will be subjected to how bad things could be. On the bright side, she's incredibly smart, a very good researcher and investigator, and if you ever want a personal trainer, she is your gal.
Character Powers: Beau is a Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition Monk, class Way of the Cobalt Soul. Her app (linked on my journal and in my permissions) has her character sheet and more details. For the tl;dr, she runs really fast, punches a whole lot of stuff, and can make you tell the truth with her fists (with magic, not just with hitting you too many times).
Character Role: Legend!
Living Area: She'll def be moving in with Caleb and Caduceus, wherever that house is (forgive me I'm not location familiar yet!)
Character's Potential: Beau is absolutely a hero type who loves to get in other people's business, so you will find her everywhere you don't want her to be. Surprisingly, this is good for her. Her real potential is largely in convincing herself she isn't the worst person, so the more friends she makes and the more settled and in control she feels the less likely she is to flip out on someone for very little reason.
Initial Plans: Beau is a very 'get the lay of the land' person, so her first bit of time will absolutely be spent exploring everywhere she can get into. And not like, everywhere she's supposed to be into, just-- everywhere that doesn't have a lock she can't pick. So if you'd like her to accidentally break into your house, shop, ect, please hit me up-- she will be sorry when she figures out someone's already using it.
