Hey! Glad to see Midge here and really glad to read about her brisket, we're going into Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (fasting, my least favorite thing in the world other than explaining that no, Hanukkah isn't Jewish Christmas) after all!

Constance here is from the early sixties and will likely be shocked! Shocked, I tell you! At Midge's jokes, though the world she left before was far more dirty. I'm really looking forward to playing with her!

Yeah, well, she's been arrested for obscenity before, she's used to it by now.

Is your character Jewish or are you Jewish? I'm actually not Jewish, but my mother was raised Jewish, so I'm familiar with the religion at least.

I'm Jewish, but my characters range from 'meh' to outright atheist. I'm Jewish, a JOC, and Newish, finished conversion this year so it's my first 'official' High Holidays! It's so exciting!! 😁

(I mean it, I've been researching brisket recipes on a scale of 1) how complicated and 2) no really, how complicated?)

(same player, don't mind me.)

I'm Episcopalian but I was raised around Jewish people, so yeah. I'm familiar, at least.

I was at a potluck the other week (ironically a church potluck) and the host made a brisket that was so good that it's got me wanting to look up recipes too lol.

My family is all Evangelical Christian on one side, Catholic on the other, and 'meh' on my (step)dad's side, so I'm sure you can imagine what their reactions to my declaration to convert to Judaism were. Fortunately, I only care about my stepfamily anyway. 😉

I'd like to marry traditional Jewish brisket recipes with what I can do with my smoker, and hope that providing good food will soften the blow with my mom and (step)dad. Wish me luck! I'll need it.

Woof. I was raised Catholic, but my father (who was very Catholic his whole life, schooling from K to college) decided that the Catholic church was too conservative for him and switched to an Episcopal one. The church my parents go to is very liberal and accepting so I started to go with them. Best of luck to you with your family!

I've heard that about Episcopal churches and the one I pass on my way to work has a Black Lives Matter banner along with a supportive message for LGBTQIA+ rights and affirmations. I wish my mom would start going there, but she's been Evangelical since childhood, so it's hard to get her to change her ways.

And thank you for your well wishes, I really appreciate them!
