You can light a fire magically so easy it's hardly interesting. You have to make a challenge of it to make me do more than yawn.

It would still be there. However, there are plenty of drinking holes here, even if their brews are better.

I don't like reading. I will read on the rare occasion but I don't really do it.

Books contain whole worlds. Ideas and philosophies. Magics.

Books about magic are tightly controlled by the Chantry. It was only through my connections with a smuggling network I was able to get the few that I owned. And we have storytellers who perform books. My friend Varric's one. Listening to them read out loud is much better than the sound of my own voice in my own head.

They're burned in Piltover. How they're controlled across Runeterra varies from culture to culture. I love reading my father's notes because the Solari don't share their books with anyone. I only read what I read because I studied with them, however briefly. It's incredible to have them.

As for storytellers, you should explore the library offerings here. They've recorded the storytellers.

I get the distinct impression I should never go to Piltover.

When I get tired of doing physical things, maybe I'll consider sitting still and reading but then again... I could always become a mabari and chase my tail instead.

I love Piltover, Hawke. It's making advances toward accepting magic that it hardly knows. Rather, it was. I don't know what will happen now.

And I love Kirkwall. Doesn't mean it wasn't a hellhole in some places and some ways.

I know. We were so close, Hawke. So close to progress. Real progress. Now I expect it will become more of a hellhole.

I had someone else teach me. I don't think she's around anymore. I don't know if I could teach it. That's only when I lie, Mel, and mostly I'm painfully honest with myself.
