I don't like reading. I will read on the rare occasion but I don't really do it.

Books about magic are tightly controlled by the Chantry. It was only through my connections with a smuggling network I was able to get the few that I owned. And we have storytellers who perform books. My friend Varric's one. Listening to them read out loud is much better than the sound of my own voice in my own head.

They're burned in Piltover. How they're controlled across Runeterra varies from culture to culture. I love reading my father's notes because the Solari don't share their books with anyone. I only read what I read because I studied with them, however briefly. It's incredible to have them.

As for storytellers, you should explore the library offerings here. They've recorded the storytellers.

When I get tired of doing physical things, maybe I'll consider sitting still and reading but then again... I could always become a mabari and chase my tail instead.

Oh, I know. I simply meant, you could have lied about lying burning you... and no one would have known. A logic puzzle that couldn't be solved through logic alone, only by knowing the person.
