Texts From Last Night

Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.
This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

Even if in some cases, helping each other is bringing you bacon to bed.

Ey you texted me, I figured you wanted to talk while you wait for the food.

We don't actually have droids in my world. Do all the ones in your world have personality?

[ He should have asked for some kaff, too. ]
Most droids have some personality, but all machines do if you let it run long enough. Your toaster would have its own quirks after a decade or two.

Interesting theory. One that my partner and I are putting to the test, actually. During one of the past trials, we were gifted a golem. The ones in Folkmore can only be active if a Star Children is near them, but we modified Blitzcrank's interior so he can be autonomous.
We're trying to teach him things so he can act on his own, but it's a slow thing.
[ Aw, Cassian, You're a softie on the very, very, very inside. ]

I'm not really sure how golems work. But ours has an repurposed language processing unit so we can talk to it in basic. That seems to help with the autonomy. Though maybe it just appears like that, because we can talk to him and not have to deal with binary.

The ones here wake up and wait for instructions if you go near them. They just want to help, but they don't seem to be able to think on their own. I find them a little sad, and so does Viktor. That's why we wanted to give ours a chance at becoming his own person.
I've never heard of those languages before. Is binary a robotic language? I should try to see if teaching Blitzcrank new idioms could help him, thanks for the idea.

Is it a power saving measure? Is that why they spend so much time in stasis?
no subject
I'm not sure, really. Some of these Golems are very old, they even have moss growing on them. I figure it must have been Thirteen or some other locals who created them, but there's not a lot of information about Golem. And getting any answers out of the fox is tricky at best.

If it was tech of some kind I could probably give you an estimate of what era it was from. Some of the more recent ones are easier to pinpoint the year and place of manufacture. But that sounds like some kind of Temple stuff. I don't know anything about that.

[ Jayce is polite and likes to talk to people, but sometimes it gets to the point where he just wants to go back to his laboratory or forge and bury himself in fun work. ]
Ah, it's all right, don't worry too much about it. Temple stuff, as in, religion...?
no subject
Yeah, I think it's some kind of religion. I don't know, they wear robes and don't do much as far as I can tell. But a lot of their stuff is old.
[ He is the worst source for anything on the topic of Jedi. ]
