Back home, I never had a lot of chances to take days off. I did go to an occasional party, but those were also work related and not really enjoyable.

Sure thing. I've been living in Folkmore for a few months, and I know most regions fairly well.

Having wings helps with getting to places quickly. By any chance, are you afraid of heights?

If I was afraid of heights I would probably be dead by now after how many times I have been snatched up unceremoniously by Keyleth in her giant eagle form. So that's a solid no, Jayce.

Not to brag or anything but she and I have actually been able to shapeshift before it was cool here in Folkmore.

I think Keyleth might be a little offended if you called her a witch to her face she's not that cruel! Just a druid who can take the form of animals and enjoys talking to trees. That's right, trees.

My apologies, I didn't mean it in a despective way. Perhaps enchantress would have been a better word. I'll use Druid from now on if I have to refer to her.

Oh. [ A pause. ] Do the trees answer her?

She says they answer but who knows really. I find it pretty weird to be honest and that is saying something coming from a guy who shits in public places and uses it to spy on people.

That's why more information than I needed to know. [ Scanlan, why. ] Does that tactic actually work?

Of course! I would not be taking huge dumps in our Keep's kitchen for nothing! Its an excellent way of keeping an eye on things when we are away for extended periods of time.

[That may or may not be a total lie in regards to the first bit but the rest was certainly true enough.]

[You are not the first one to judge him and won't be the last for Scanlan is used to being put through the ringer for the ridiculous shit he comes up with and executes without really thinking of the repercussions at times.]

Hey someone has to keep an eye on the place, maybe it was not the most practical method but it certainly got the job done! As for Vex...She may have not been the biggest fan of that particular trick. Better than me shitting in her bed though, right?

[Scanlan would just do that for fun and to get a rise out of her if he was not so afraid of Percival shooting his testicles off.]

[ If it comforts him any, Jayce is trying to be polite about it. But maybe Scanlan should try to use actual toilets from time to time. Just for a change. ]

Anything is better than shitting in someone's bed. That we can agree on.
