why build a reef?

Well, there's lots of reasons why coral reefs are important! Not only do they give marina animals a place to live, but they protect coastal communities on land from things like tidal waves and erosion!

why do they know how to make a reef and how it is important?
what if they decided to not make a reef one day?

we're destroying the ocean reefs anyway with pollution and trash. it won't be long before we have no oceanlife.

Well... Making reefs is just what coral does! That's like saying, what if a bird decided not to make a nest? Or if bees decided not to make a beehive?

And sadly, you're right about coral reefs being in danger of disappearing. But there are environmental scientists working around the clock on ways to not only preserve the reefs we have left, but to help coral create new reefs, both for their benefit, and ours. And the benefit of Mother Earth!

You're right. There are a lot of ways that human society is destroying the planet.

We've just got to focus on ways in which we can be a force for good, and ways we can hold corporations accountable for the damage they're doing to the environment.

Sure, yeah, we need to work towards destabilizing mega corporations. But I was thinking more along the lines of peaceful protest and phone calls to your local representatives.
