i was captive until i was about eighteen

that was five years ago now, ive been running since then and then i came here
i dont think i can run any further away

Course it's normal to you. It's your life. Not shitting on that.
Think about it, though. Food has to be grown, animals tended. Clothes have to be made. Everything else we use too.
Sure that could be done with slavery (that's happened sometimes in some places historically).
It's hard to make the world go round if most people are held captive. Hard to miss.

i believe it was a form of slavery but its complicated

the people who held me were part of an organized group called the hunters and those looking for me believed i was dead until recently. i dont fully understand it yet, so i dont know if i can explain it

what i know for sure is that they had killed my mother when i was an infant
