It's beautiful. Vast kilometers of unspoiled wildlife, filled with every kind of fantasy creature you can imagine. And average animals of uncanny gifts. We're all kings and queens in Cair Paravel, the most beautiful castle ever raised, but I know we weren't born there.

My elder brother Peter is High King Peter, the Magnificent, unparalleled on the field of battle. His very presence alone is enough to make an army surrender. My younger brother Edmund, is King Edmund, the Just. He concerns himself with the laws and the day to day living of our subjects. He also is said to have his fingers in every pie. And my little sister Lucy is Queen Lucy, the Valiant. She's a gifted healer and no slouch with the dagger, either.

I am Queen Susan the Gentle. But as the princes and kings and lords of other lands keep forgetting, gentle isn't always nice. I can pin a fly to a tree branch at a thousand paces and it would be best for everyone to remember that.

As for how we got there...I no longer remember. Nor do I care to remember. Only that there was a war and according to you, the war is no more.

It seems likely. As a queen of Narnia, I have a great deal to focus on as it is. Mostly fending off suitors.

I don't know. It's been years since we came to Narnia. I was a girl of twelve when we arrived, now I'm a woman of twenty-four. I don't think they'd recognize me even if they did see me.

I would appreciate that. Most of my suitors sing the praises of my beauty, but pay no mind to my other qualities. It's exhausting.

You're right, I certainly don't want a man like that. They would expect me to renounce Narnia and be a pretty bauble in their court. In Narnia, I am a queen in my own right. And that's all very kind of you to say. You actually remind me of my elder brother, High King Peter. Both of you trust me to make my own decisions.

They are bad news. Even with countries we're allied with such as Archenland They see me as a pretty ornament for their court. I am a Narnian queen, I can defend myself on and off of the battlefield, as was expected of Narnian queens. Woe be unto those who see things differently.
