[and she's used to such things. usually involving Sorata getting himself so drunk that he'd sprawled on the couch, laughing, his eyes sparkling and his cheeks red with drink. he weighs about as much as Sorata does]

[and she follows in the direction he indicated. despite him being from a time when her country was at war with his, she trusts him. almost as she does Sorata. but Sorata always comes first, her first love, his first kiss, his first beloved.

if she can't have her beloved, she'll protect him who resounded of him. it was platonic, purely platonic, but she wants Sorata to meet Steve. she thinks they'd like one another, despite being on possible opposites of a war. she thinks they could get over it, so she was sure that Sorata would as well]

[ Well, despite their countries being at war, he'd never hated anyone just because they were from somewhere. He judged people by their character, and he'd judged Arashi's to be just fine. Helpful. ]

[and while she knows that her own country has yet to fully face what happened, she can't imagine hating anyone, really. except for the Dragons of Earth and they were actively trying to bring about the end of the world.

and honestly, it was Sorata. the guy who chatted with complete strangers in line and somehow established himself as "popular" at school. Sorata liked pretty much everybody, with of course the caveat of not the Dragons of Earth]

All right. We'll try eighty-three first. Do you have a key?

[ He digs into his pocket and withdraws his spoon.

Oh, nope. He tries again and finds his wallet, which he opens only to show that since there are no coins or bills here, he uses it to carry around pictures of his friends. How cute. ]

It's gotta be here somewhere... Maybe Bucky's home. He'll let me in.

[...that's adorable. though, she's reminded of the fact that she doesn't have any pictures of Sorata, let alone the other Dragons of Heaven]

Bucky is your companion? We can always knock and see if he's home.

[and the part of thinking it was his fault cuts Arashi to the quick. over the year, she'd fooled Sorata into thinking she felt nothing for him, only for the very opposite to be true. so she grasps one of Steve's hands in both of her own]

If you love him? If you want to be with him? Tell him. One never knows when the last moment with their beloved is. Tell him and if he feels the same and is willing, seize him with both hands. Love him. You deserve to be happy. And so does he.

[...yeah, she's absolutely giving him advice she wished someone had given her with regards to Sorata.

and she raises a hand to rap at the door]
