I am. Got frozen in ice. Took about seventy years to dig me out of it.

I do think we probably have different year lengths, though. Ours are 365 days. Same day structure as here, actually. Everything's pretty familiar in setup. Except the magic.

Why so it is. Years in Exandria are 328 days; Though our days seem to match those here, twenty-four hours in each.

Wildemount. I don't think Vex mentioned that one. What's it like there?

She and the others are from Tal'dorei, the continent just to the west of Wildemount.

There are many sorts of places and people in both. I grew up in the Dwendalian Empire, in the Zemni Fields. That area is farmland, mostly, small villages. People live quiet, humble lives.

There are larger cities as well, Rexxentrum where the Soltryce Academy is located. There are places beyond the Empire as well. The Kryn Dynasty's Xhorhas in the North, the Menagerie Coast in the west full of trade and merchants from the sea.

Is Soltryce where you learned to be a wizard?

Is your accent Zemnian? I couldn't help but notice, I think it's similar to a language we've got on Earth. I don't speak it too well, but I had a friend who was fluent.

The Soltryce Academy is the main institute of magical study in the Empire. I attended there for a few years. After that, much of my magic is self-taught.

It is, yes. Zemnian is my first language. But I learned Common from childhood as well, as most everyone does.

Odd that it is similar to a language in another world entirely.

Wait, you taught yourself magic?

I've been trying to learn some - figured it was gonna be useful in a place like this to dip my feet into a few magic disciplines.

I can teach you some self-defense, if you'd like.

I did, yes. Much of wizardry is study and reading and experimentation;

Oh? It would be useful. I would be happy to help teach you, if you are interested.

I would appreciate the self defense pointers, yes. I'm not a stranger to combat, but I have always fought with spells. Physically... I am less than a novice.

And it's alright, I'm less than a novice when it comes to magic, so it looks like we're perfectly matched.
