Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

Announcements Per Camp Camelot
FOR DAMSELS:
For people who are interested in signing their character up to be a Damsel In Distress for the month of August you will have until August 13th to sign your character up. Signing your character up means you are agreeing to have them put into a situation of peril at mod choice. We will always be sensitive to your hard-nos and make sure to keep your character away from anything that may veer towards that.
If you signed up your character for July and still wish to have them be a damsel in August: you do not need to do anything. However, if you don't want your character to be a damsel again in August - please comment on the Damsel page to let us know so we can remove their name from the list!
FOR CABINS:
We apologize for the slight delay on adding newer characters! Our Camper/Counselor page is currently up to date! If you want to remove/add anyone, you will have until August 13th for all finalized roommate situations. This includes adding any characters as counselors or campers.
PER AUGUST EVENT:

August will have its own unique set of trials so stay tuned!
As a general reminder, Camp Camelot will be dismantled on September 1st. These cabins will vanish into poofs of golden dust. So hopefully your characters are out of them in time or else they might wind up eating shit in the dirt.
From August 1st to August 12th, characters throughout Folkmore will be gifted a fox beret with a matching orange Camp Camelot shirt, a pair of orange shorts, an optional clip-on orange fox tail, and some nifty knee-high white socks with orange bands at the top. You will be provided with a set of orange hiking boots that, instead of ridges on the feet, have paw prints. These outfits will appear in a neat pile somewhere in your character's home and will be custom fit to their exact measurements and body types!

Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.

Preferred Tag Style: Action/Prose, both work but I usually do action.
Monthly Pacing: My usual pace is always all over the place! my tagging speed varies a lot, and I do not apologize for slowness and late tags. I work full time, I do art, there is always some RL stress - RP is for fun and to relax, and not the opposite. I may spend some days without tagging because of it. Naturally, if you prefer a faster tagger, it's totes fine!

Character Name: Ken Kaneki
Character Age: 18
Characer Species: Half-ghoul.
Character Details: Eyepatch on the left eye. For first impressions, check here.
Character Summary: "Rather than a person who hurts others, become the person getting hurt. A kind person finds happiness in just that". This is what kaneki learned from his mother, and he follows this. he is incredibly kind, gentle, he is shy and also awkward, very quiet and doesn't speak his mind. Tends to be selfless, doesn't have much confidence in himself and sees himself as weak, but even so he is trying hard to become stronger in order to protect the ones he loves. AND THEN HE WAS TURNED INTO A GHOUL who are cannibal people basically (no. They are not undead nor spirits) and... that... sucks a lot. Kaneki hates that ghoul part, but above all, he is SCARED of the ghoul part. He has to balance the fact that he is now forced to do something terrible, and the fact that ghouls aren't all monsters. Kaneki's life is full of suffering.
Character Role: Familiar.
Character Role Deets: Kaneki can turn into a centipede. He has a half-form that allows him to turn into a huge centipede-boy and also a full centipede form anywhere between 12 and 40cm. Kaneki hates his familiar form so I'm always up to have people interact with it more so he doesn't feel so grossed out. More details about the familiar form check here.
Character Living Quarters: uhhh he has been spending most of his time at Dirk's ranch but he has an apartment where he keeps all his food
Character Schools: Kuma Lisa, mostly taking literature classes. He also takes some classes over Agrona to learn how to fight better.
Day to Day Life: Kaneki spends a lot of time over Dirk's ranch, however he goes to school every day and likes to spend time at the library there as well. Because he cooks for Dirk, he also spends a lot of time looking up recipes and getting ingredients. And given he is scared of his ghoul side and his familiar form as well, sometimes Kaneki just goes out into the woods or secluded areas to train or transform when he is alone.
Current Mindset/Health: Surprisingly okay! Very happy too. He has a boyfriend (who is his Myth a d his soul mate) and it has been a really healthy relationship for him. Sadly Kaneki always ends up falling back into doubt and fear, so that kind of plagues him all the time - he is afraid of not being real since in their world, a version of them was left there; he is afraid this is all a made up lie by the Fox and he is afraid there is something nefarious going on. Kaneki also tends to starve himself, which will eventually lead to bad things.
Recent Developments: Boyfriend and soulmate and myth, so that part has been going very well. Natsume also found out Kaneki is a ghoul and... Só Kaneki has been terrified he will tell others or is like. Planning on killing him.
Goals For Your Character: To eventually bite someone because of course.
Problems With Your Character: State above in mindset section.
Wanted CR: I really want to get him settled with CR Kaneki can trust enough to open up more. He is introvert, has a very hard time getting close to people despite being nice to everyone and so I want him to meet others he can talk to, feel close to and be with. because Kaneki without people to rely on is like someone spiraling down he is terrible at being alone; kaneki has a lot of trauma going on and he is a sad boy who tries his hardest to be kind and gentle towards e v e r y o n e. He is very VERY lonely too, and while he has a hard time connecting to other people, he just wants to be loved.
- Non humans: Non humans, monsters, and alike. Negative or positive, it's all good.
- Monster hunters or people who'd not like to know there is a cannibal around GUESS WHAT MY ARMS ARE OPEN (kaneki's not so much )= )
- Mentors, parental figures, FAMILY. oh boy do you know how desperate kaneki is for those please adopt him
- Friends because FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC even when your friend eats people so basically be his friend pls
- Big brother. Kaneki likes children and is willing to adopt younger kids and take care of them!
- Manipulation~ basically Kaneki is way too fucking nice and while that's!! great!! it also means there is a big chance here to manipulate this boy. Kaneki is easily manipulated and makes some bad choices in life; I'm 100% okay with someone making use of that.
- Training, because kaneki really wants to get stronger and get a hold of his powers better
- Extroverts! Someone to get him out of his shell. Look, I admit, it will be hard, he is a wallflower, but that of course means he needs someone to push him around and get him to do silly stuff
- BOOK CLUB. Kaneki loves books, if you mention them, get ready for him to nerd at you nonstop
- PHILOSOPHY TIME? Philosophy time. If anyone wants to have a more deeper conversation about nature and what makes someone a "person" he is your guy too. He has been transformed into a ghoul and then into a squid and then back into a ghoul THERE ARE A LOT OF FEELINGS HERE. Kaneki is also the epitome of loneliness and trauma, and he just... really is desperate for a connection, but tends to be quite nice towards those who feel the same as he do.
- Trauma train! Kaneki has SHIT LOADS of trauma, from parental trauma to dating trauma (last pretty girl he went on a day with tried to eat him), to loneliness, abuse, torture, etc, etc etc. Kaneki does not think he is traumatized but holy hell he is a mess. If anyone wants to try touching that - or even call out Kaneki on his denial - absolutely up for it!

Character Role Deets: Bright white wings, single ring of gold halo. Very classic angel look.
Character Living Quarters: Lapine - burrows. He is currently living with Tony (MCU) while Tony helps Steve dig out his foundation so he can stand upright in it.
Character Schools: Currently teaches at the camp for August (weekends) but I'm thinking that I want to put him in some cooking classes and enroll him in finishing his art degree somehow.
Day to Day Life: He just got his motorcycle so you might see him around exploring. He's also going to be at the hardware and home improvement stores a lot. He can also be found at camp on weekends, at a bookstore or library in his free time, or out running errands like getting groceries. If there's a gym, you could probably see him there also.
Current Mindset/Health: He's doing great!
Recent Developments: n/a
Goals For Your Character: I do want him to get to do a lot of retired relaxing things. It will be really nice for him to also be in part of like, a neighborly community? I guess that's what camp's for. He's been volunteering to do stuff lately so if you need help with something feel free to rope Steve into it.

Wanted CR: Friends are always good! Also please I really want this sad cooking class to make dinner for a bunch of people and almost accidentally poison them lol. I am pretty open otherwise, hit me with anything!

Character Details: ya boy has the most overactive imagination you can fathom.
Character Summary: at first, he seems like a shy and timid guy, which isn't wrong. sunny is extremely introverted, but when you actually start talking to him (and he talks back) you'll find he's a cynical teenager with a bleak outlook on life and a fascination for morbid things. he has a plethora of fears which he's just now realizing maybe he should try and overcome, but so far, it's not going so great. sunny loves videogames, shitposting on the internet, arts & crafts, reading, cats and comic books. his canon takes place in 2003. for more information, read his info/permissions.

Character Role Deets: omori is a fussy little game where your choices will heavily impact what sunny does + the ending. i'm interested to simply just see how his cr effects him since he very easily could overcome all of his fears + trauma with the right cr build and influence... or he absolutely won't depending on how other characters influence him.. so let's play it out and see what happens.
Character Living Quarters: a treehouse in leshy by himself... he has not shared with anyone where he lives, but i fully embrace people just finding out where he's at if they'd like to harass him.
Character Schools: school is for the weak. that said, i'm all for someone bothering him to go to school again.
Day to Day Life: he's currently still in his hikikomori phase, so he rarely leaves his treehouse.. so he sleeps, he dreams.. when he's conscious, he draws, eats sometimes and avoids cleaning at all costs.
Current Mindset/Health: physically, he's doing alright, just needs to put on some weight. mentally, sunny has anxiety/depression, fears (agoraphobia, thalassophobia, acrophobia, arachnophobia and anything attached to his main trauma.) regularly, he day dreams and dissociates and sees/hears things that aren't real.

Characer Species: half-elf
Character Details: Tall, pretty, walks around with a bow and a bear, sarcastic fucker, sounds like Laura Bailey with a slightly posh accent
Character Summary: Vex'ahlia is a ranger/rogue mutliclass that has a bear companion named Trinket that follows her around. Her twin brother, Vax is here, along with Keyleth, and they are a part of a group called Vox Machina on their world. They do fun things like kill dragons, save towns, go to the Nine Hells to fight demons (literally) and throw shade when they can.
Character Role: Legend
Character Role Deets: She's rocking her pretty wings and golden aura still... I'd like to sort of explore possibly making her aura more useful, so, who needs saving?
Character Living Quarters: Currently, Vex has a house in Leshy with Vax, Keyleth, Caleb and Peter
Character Schools: Vex hasn't checked out any of the schools yet, but that will probably change soon.
Day to Day Life: Vex is saving up for a bakery that she's going to open with Keyleth and Yuri. So that's a thing. (Tag me, I need lots of spoons!)
Current Mindset/Health: Vex is fairly fine. She misses Percy and the rest of Vox Machina, but overall she's healthy and ready to have some good times.
Recent Developments: Keyleth has shown up, which means that it's definitely possible for more people from Exandria to come here. She's also made more friends, which hasn't always been easy for her, but she's learning it.
Goals For Your Character: I want her to be able to learn to express herself better and not close off. She's done much better about it with the event with certain people, but it's still not easy for her.
Problems With Your Character: No real problems besides the normal ones.
Wanted CR: EVERYONE COME AND LET VEX ADOPT YOU! (Also, if you want to be not friends with her, that's cool too.) Also, she has a bear?
Unwanted CR: No romance. She's all googly-eyes for Percy and he's not here.

Monthly Pacing: It's kind of up in the air. Usually at least a tag a day and can boomerang.

Character Age: 80ish
Character Species: Dark Elf
Character Details: She has gray skin, purple eyes with large irises, and pointed ears. She stands at 5'7" and is pretty slight framed as a result of malnutrition in her early years. There are various scars visible depending on what she's wearing due to years of combat.
Permissions: here
Character Summary: Gemmaline is genuinely good at heart and wants to make the right choices that keep people around her safe and happy. She hopes for a good solution to problems that arise, but recognizes that in truth not everything can turn out well and is mainly a realist; understanding that the world is cruel but at least trying to push things in the right direction. She has little patience for whiners, slackers, or the pompous. Her background is that of an orphan who grew up in a society that heavily values claiming lineage to one of the Great Houses, so being classified as a nobody has turned her against the rich, titled, and powerful — especially if they abuse that power. She was a bit more wild in her youth, being a member of the Thieves' Guild and stealing from those she felt deserved it, but now she only does sneaky things if it's to uncover a villain's plot and is more likely to want to help those in need. She's been thrust into the role of savior for her world like any good little MMORPG protagonist, but again, she's more of a realist about it than anything else.
Character Role: Legend
Character Role Deets: She can manifest both silvery wings and a silver halo glow around her head, but at the moment she's having trouble controlling it and they're put away more than they're out.
Character Living Quarters: Tiny Home #3 in Talaria
Character Schools: She's eventually going to start teaching jewelry making somewhere, but I want to hold back as if it's taking her a little time to get the supplies/space together for that. Perhaps next month.
Day to Day Life: She wanders, she pokes her nose into things, and right now she's spending time at camp as a counselor.
Current Mindset/Health: I purposefully kept Gemmaline away from rescuing people this month and just had her hear about it so she can feel some guilt that she didn't pitch in because she wasn't around to know about the damsels.
Recent Developments: She's starting to make friends and would like a bunch more since she's left a network of friends and acquaintances behind at home.
Goals For Your Character: I'd like for there to be a mixture of events where she helps people and where she fails because she's heavily depended on in her world and she needs both a break and to realize that trying to do it all isn't feasible.
Problems With Your Character: Nothing too big at the moment. Just missing friends and feeling guilty at not being around to help people in need.
Wanted CR: All of the above! She was an orphan and gathering found family is important. She's always down for learning something new or teaching others in turn. And I would be down for romance if things steered that way (M/F 18+). The only real caveat she has is that she has a negative kneejerk reaction to her own people, so likely wouldn't consider another Dark Elf.
Unwanted CR: Nothing negative.

OOC Limitations/Disinterests: While I love romance, I don't actually write smut. I'll just do foreplay and aftercare, with a fade-to-black in the middle.

Character Age: Nineteen
Character Species: Alastrian (Feel free to read my essay on Alastrian biology here.)
Character Details: She has knee-length hair, usually braided. And if it's at all applicable to you...she looks like Natalie Portman, with gray eyes.
Character Summary: Link to her application here. Basically, she's what would happen if Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Kes from Star Trek: Voyager and Trance Gemini from Andromeda had a child together. Sweet and curious, but with a dangerous side. Super eager to pass for Human and be part of your woooooorld! She comes from a fantasy-medieval kingdom, so she's going to be doing a lot of curtsying until she learns better.

Current Mindset/Health: Her health is good! Her mindset is mostly confusion and wonderment. She's excited to meet new people and learn new things, but she still hasn't figured out how everything works yet, especially as a new arrival from a fantasy-medieval setting.
Recent Developments: She's officially open for business at Kuma Lisa and taking on music students. She's also volunteering as a weekend camp counselor, again teaching music, as well as foraging and flying, for those with unexpected wings.
Goals For Your Character: My ultimate goal is always to get the character to a place where she knows for sure that she doesn't need to go back to her own world. This could mean wanting to stay in the game setting forever, or eventually going home with someone she grows close with. That's a very long-term goal. In the short term, I want to just get a lot of CR for her, gradually making her more comfortable with telling people that she isn't Human. And, of course, romance is always a definite desire!
Problems With Your Character: Ariadne's still trying to figure out how people feel about non-Humans here.
Wanted CR: ROMANCE (F/M), found family, especially father or mother figures, non-Human friends, people who need to learn that non-Humans are all right.

Character Age: 20
Character Species: Pureblood Vampire. She was born a vampire, not turned.
Character Details: Hayan is 5'3" with bright blue eyes and slitted pupils, white hair, dark black claws for fingernails and red lips. The red is very natural, all part of the pureblood vampire thing. In the past she had a human guise as well but she got so angry at one point it broke and she can't go back now.
Also she can't eat regular food, it makes her violently ill because of how vampire blood circulates. She can drink anything though (alcohol doesn't get her drunk whatsoever) and she can eat anything made with blood, particularly seonji (coagulated chunks of ox blood made for a soup in Korea).
Character Summary: Info for all of her powers. In short summary she can run real fast, is very strong, can recover from nearly anything that doesn't destroy vital organs and has terrific hearing and smell.
Hayan is a girl with a cheerful personality that's only now coming back to shine after a good half year of being constantly mad and killing other vampires. Her emotions do turn on a dime sometimes and she's quite capable of turning chillingly serious or filled with rage. For the most part though all Hayan has ever wanted was to live a normal life loving the people in her family, whether they're found or not. She's very kind, doesn't believe in taking human blood and really just wants to help.
Character Role: Legend
Character Role Deets: She has eyes that sometimes change to reflect her moods -- a brilliant glowing red when she's angry, soft pink when she's flushed or embarrassed. More will crop up eventually. She also has silvery white wings to match her hair that tend to pop out along with her white crown of thorns halo when she gets excited, haha.
Character Living Quarters: A cottage in Gram.
Character Schools: Nowhere at the moment but I'm keen on sending her to either Agrona for fighting, Baba Yaga for abilities or Amrita for survival.
Day to Day Life: So before she got here Hayan was involved in a near six month campaign to stomp out all of the Angels of Death, the defacto leaders of all the vampires in Korea. She'd also discovered the identity of the one they called 'God', an imperfect pureblood who is bent on making everyone in Korea a vampire.
She has stuff to do at home, sure, but for now she's just chilling and resting. Give her until next month or after camp ends to really start trying to have some semblance of a normal life here.
Current Mindset/Health: Hayan is torn. She had things she needs to accomplish at home but she realizes fretting over them here isn't going to change things. Hayan has the mindset of "if something is going to happen anyway, me feeling a certain way about it isn't going to change it" and so she keeps on keeping on.
Recent Developments: She beat up an eagle with a boot, does that count? Also she talked about how it might be good to be here with Sunny and that actually did help her decide she wasn't exactly a bad person for trying to just ... live while here.
Goals For Your Character: FOUND FAMILY. Eventually I want Hayan to make a boatload of friends and maybe take a couple of them under her wing as their big sis. I wouldn't shrink from anything romantic/sexual either (18+ F/M of course) though by this point in canon she's starting to have an inkling of feelings for one Detective Euntae Hwang.
Problems With Your Character: She doesn't want to gross anyone out by seeing her eat blood, haha.

-The big one is that he's partially made out of blue crystal: his entire right arm, most of his neck, a little bit on his face, a canon-unspecified amount of his chest, crossing all the way over to his left shoulder.
-He's got bright, pure red eyes that have Plot Significance in his canon, so while he won't comment on it, he'll definitely Take Notice of it when other characters also have red eyes.
-He's 5'3". We stan a short
kingexarch.Character Summary: I will try to tl;dr his history as much as possible here. He was a history expert helping investigate the Crystal Tower left behind by an ancient powerful civilization that naturally turned out to be Up To Some Shit and it also turned out that he had the bloodline of said civilization's royal family in him due to Shenanigans. Since the tower was so dangerous and he was the only one who could control it, he decided to seal it off and put himself in stasis inside it until the outside world could figure out how to use its power for good. 200 years passed and an apocalypse happened, and a group of folks cracked the tower open to rope G'raha into their wild plan to undo the apocalypse. So they sent him and the tower back in time and to a parallel dimension/planet/it's complicated, so he could help undo the light-based apocalypse that happened there that caused the apocalypse back home. That was 100 years ago and in the meantime he has helped found a city and rules it and adopted a granddaughter who's now an adult. He's had a busy life.

Character Schools: G'raha is by habit a self-directed learner, so while he doesn't formally attend any of the schools, he can often be found in their libraries.
Day to Day Life: G'raha spends most of his time wandering around Folkmore, seeing what there is to see, visiting the school libraries, chatting people up. He is attending Camp Camelot this month and next.
Current Mindset/Health: He's vibing like usual. Not thrilled about being a designated damsel or the other weird shit happening at camp, but he classified the Fox as fae from basically the jump, so, like. Getting mad won't help, he just needs to roll with it and be prepared to defend himself and others if necessary.
Recent Developments: Nothing super major, or at least nothing people are likely to notice. A couple of things have come up that he is slowly, quietly rotating in his head.
Goals For Your Character: This is an inherently long term goal, but I'll be real with y'all: I want to get this cat laid. Which in practice means getting over the like three distinct mental humps he has between himself and thinking he is in any way attractive or desirable.

Characer Species: Human
Character Details: Lucille is tall, standing at around 6'1, with long, dark hair. She tends to hide her emotions well and can come across as aloof and cold.
Character Summary:
Lucille is a troubled and tormented woman. She's serious and severe-looking; she finds it difficult to smile and rarely shows anything resembling good humour. She came from a family that lacked any warmth or love and was forbidden from having friends when she was young. And so, as an adult, she struggles with social situations and can come across as being cold and aloof. Lucille is a little 'strange', but she tries hard to blend in. She tries to imitate the actions of 'normal' people, but it can sometimes appear a bit mechanical.
She loves music and literature. She's highly observant and intelligent. She's traumatized, thanks to the abuse she has received over the years, and she has a tendency to disappear into her thoughts when situations remind her of her past. She can get so caught up in her thoughts and fears that she will hide away, dwell, and ultimately neglect herself (which is why she keeps her mind busy with the library job). She keeps her secrets close and is capable of murder without any sign of remorse - but only if she feels threatened.

Character Role Deets: She has black kudu horns because they look elegant but would also mess someone up if used against them. She has an iridescent-black, snake-like tail, and will eventually get claws, and fang-like canines. She finds these new features peculiar and disturbing, but she's also fascinated by them.

Day to Day Life: She keeps to herself a lot, and is usually at home. Sometimes she'll head into the forest to look for insects, or she'll have a picnic and read a book. By herself. She doesn't care if people judge her. Being alone is peaceful!
Current Mindset/Health: Lucille is grieving the loss of her brother, and she's still trying to understand why she's been allowed a 'second chapter'. She doesn't feel deserving of it and just wants to go home. She has encountered a couple of nice people and has enjoyed their company, but she's still very focused on returning home.
Recent Developments: None, really. She's sad and grieving, and doesn't believe that there is hope for her. Hope is foolish and overly optimistic, and she is quick to dismiss anyone who thinks otherwise.
Goals For Your Character: I am always up for found family dynamics. I would like for her to find a reason for staying here- whether that be staying for a career, certain people, or both!
Problems With Your Character: She is sad and tormented and sad.

Character Details: Yor is a human woman with black hair and red eyes.
Character Summary: Yor is an assassin for a deep state organization within her country's government. Her alias, Thorn Princess, is known to be one of the deadliest killers in her world.
Due to societal standards, being an unmarried woman in her late twenties was beginning to draw undue attention toward herself, so she agreed to a sham marriage in the hopes of avoiding public scrutiny. This may have been a mistep, because she almost immediately came to love her new, adoptive daughter like she's her own, and has come to respect and admire her fake husband a lot more than she ever expected to.
Character Role: Familiar.
Character Role Deets: Yor has a black snake tail and red and black scales framing her face and neck.
Character Living Quarters: Currently just at camp! She's gonna need to find a more permanent place to live soon though lol.
Character Schools: N/A!
Day to Day Life: Yor is mostly using camp activities to keep herself busy tbh. If she sees someone struggling or having a bad time, she's quick to jump in and try to help (often unsuccessfully). Beyond that, she's lost pretty much all of the structure of her life so she's pretty aimless right now.
Current Mindset/Health: Yor really wants to go home and she's getting pretty homesick at this point, but at the moment she's still taking the Fox at her word that this whole place has to do with unlocking one's potential. She's sort of convinced herself that if she keeps improving in certain subjects, she'll be allowed to return home.
Recent Developments: Yor is making lots of new friends! She has a lot in common with big Steve Rogers (strong, protective, awful cooks), she's come to view Mai as a sort of little sister/daughter who she wants to protect, and she bonded with Caleb and Keyleth about family and friends - and then became DEEPLY indebted to them after she got stuck as a snake.
ALSO Vex seems to have maybe figured out her secret, which Yor finds very intimidating.
There are a whole bunch more. Mostly she's meeting people and having generally positive interactions with people! She's having a good time, if she didn't have important stuff going on at home she'd probably like Folkmore a lot more than she does.
Goals For Your Character: I have three or four big ideas that i'd like to do with Yor:
1. She loses her picture of Anya somehow. She only has the one picture so that would make for some good drama.
2. Cooking class! She and Steve talked about taking a cooking class together and I think that would be a lot of fun.
3. Speaking of cooking: It could be nice to have a sort of potluck or something? A nice sit down meal for everyone stuck here away from their families.
4. At some point I want Yor to open up a yoga studio/gym. I think she'd be good at it and I also just think it's funny.

Character Age: a nonspecific early forties kind of vibe

Character Details: As far as humans go, Wrench is on the taller side at 6'4". He's pretty well-littered with scars, though few of them are visible when he's fully clothed. (And you can expect him to be fully clothed even in the heat -- we're talking at least two jackets.) He's also Deaf and does not voice. (So here I go again referring you to that communication faq.)
Character Summary: (Wes) Wrench is a former hitman and only surviving member of the Fargo crime syndicate. He was recruited in by its leader when he was still a child, along with his close friend (Grady) Numbers. Canon suggests that they were pretty much husbands. Grady's dead now. Everyone who has ever been close to Wrench is dead now. He escaped from a prison transport bus and has been living off the grid and under the radar for years now, with a fat stack of $2 million that he's got no means of laundering.
Character Role: Myth
Character Living Quarters: He's got a little cabin at #8 Gram that he's currently refusing to stay in because who just gives away housing without wanting anything in return??
Character Schools: Wrench is unaffiliated at the moment, but I very much want to get him into a bit of a teaching gig later on when it seems more in character for him to actually pursue that.
Day to Day Life: He's brand new, so most of his time thus far has been spent trying to get a lay of the land and figure out what the hell he's supposed to do in a place that he can't seem to escape. Wrench isn't very used to knowing people or being known by them. The majority of his life has been lived under a moniker and off the grid, so it's very strange for him now to face the fact that he's seeing the same people over and over again.
Current Mindset/Health: Physically fine but mentally all over the place. He's grappling with the logistics of life in Folkmore. Despite some people's best efforts to encourage him to just go with the flow and not ask too many questions, he's prone to bouts of spiraling when he thinks too hard about aliens or androids or demi-gods or multiple iterations of himself existing and piloting his life back home.
Recent Developments: None to report at the moment, as he's still just settling in.
Goals For Your Character: Right now my primary goal with this hitman with a heart of gold is just to find a way to integrate him into the goings-on of this place. I'd like to find ways for him to actually feel like he's contributing productively. And how cool would it be if those didn't have to involve murder-for-hire type situations? I really just want him to develop his social circle and get to know people he's going to have to interact with more than once. Wherever that leads remains a bit of a work in progress.
Problems With Your Character: Undoubtedly just the usual shit when it comes to getting integrated to this place. And the fact he doesn't want to sleep in a bed some weird fox has given him or eat the food she claims is okay.
Wanted CR: Taking all comers at this point, honestly.
Unwanted CR: Negative CR is perfectly fine with me, but I prefer to play it with a goal towards some kind of resolution. That isn't to say I don't welcome ongoing friction or mortal enemies or something. He's just kind of a little guy trying to live his life, after witnessing his friends die multiple times, after dying himself multiple times, and after having fled to another timeline altogether. But when he's not being depressed about all of that, he's a congenial guy with a mischievous streak and a generally positive outlook.

Day to Day Life: He just sort of goes with the flow, not because of any overarching philosophy, but because he doesn't have anywhere else to be. The only fixture in his day-to-day is taking care of his pet salamander.
Current Mindset/Health: Physically he's fine, if not a little sunburnt. Mentally and emotionally, he's teetering on the edge of a ~breakthrough~ but is still in the struggle zone.
Recent Developments: John is currently attending camp through the end of August, where he had some nice feelings jams by the fire pit, got kidnapped by murder-eagles, and came to the conclusion that he's upset that he didn't get to do any of these things or explore himself during his teenage years.
Goals For Your Character: I have a few irons in the fire for him that I want to see through to some sort of conclusion, so my goals are pretty much related to the above. Getting him to understand that it's okay and he probably should be upset that his childhood was effectively stolen from him and that Sburb was traumatic. I want him to start getting closer and opening up to people willingly, as well, and not just under the influence of delicious treats. Also, he will be organizing a familiar meetup shortly. Sidekicks gotta stick together!
Problems With Your Character: I think the above pretty much covers it, plus lots of awkward boners. Between being a part-time bunny and entering his self-exploration phase, he just... he just wants a smooch...
Wanted CR: This is one of those months where I'm really just interested in seeing what comes at me! So I'm open to most things.

Day to Day Life: Before camp, Alice was just trying to adjust to suddenly living somewhere that isn't a jail cell, oblivious to the fact that his sister is also in Folkmore.
Current Mindset/Health: He's felt kind of stressed and guilty over canon events, and the damsel situations will put him on edge, and he isn't happy about Reko in danger at all. It's amazing to see Reko again, though (even if she attacked him with a flashlight, mistaking him for a ghost), so he's grateful for that.
Recent Developments: A very unexpected reunion with Reko is a wonderful thing, but Alice also feels some guilt because of past choices and mistakes, and he might come back to those thoughts from time to time.
Goals For Your Character: I'd like for him to meet more people as he navigates life abruptly looking up and working through the aftermath of Everything in his canon. He's pretty good at being a protective big brother figure when he's allowed to be that.

Character Details: Silver at his temples, the backs of his hands marked with pink-white scars than run the approximate lengths of his finger bones. The man also has a third eye hidden in his forehead that may make the occasional appearance, #justsorcererthings. Can usually be found with the Cloak of Levitation somewhere on his person, often disguised as another item of clothing altogether.
Character Summary: Ex-neurosurgeon turned current sorcerer, Stephen's a highly competent, excessively confident magic man who has seen and done enough weird shit that you can tell him pretty much anything and he probably won't flinch.
Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: Stephen's myth manifestation has an eldritch theme. On a normal day he's fairly low-key with slightly sharper than average canine teeth and claw-like nails that he fastidiously cuts and files down, undercover vampire vibes. But as and when he leans into more myth-adjacent behaviours he'll start developing combos of: sharper teeth, claws, calcified spiney structures growing out of other bones (can include horns), an inky colouring of the skin around new features, shadowy tendrils/tentacles, etc. Visual inspo: some spooky vibes.
I'm really interested in playing with his own and other people's perceptions of him as a myth, especially as he starts looking weird. He fundamentally considers himself a force for good, so winding up looking like someone he'd banish back to another dimension is going to be. An experience.

Day to Day Life: Currently he's a part-time camp counselor. He's rigged his room door at the Lodge to open straight into his treehouse so he can sleep in his own damn bed, and between that and his portal magic he can be there pretty much whenever anyone needs him. Aside from that he's just settling in, getting familiar with the place, starting to try and make some connections to trade magic favours for goods and services, etc.
Current Mindset/Health: He's a-okay physically and as far as he's concerned he's doing just swell mentally too. 'Didn't you just possess your own corpse?' Mm, that was last month a multiverse away, don't worry about it.
Recent Developments: He's very new so nothing major yet!
Goals For Your Character: I have nothing specific, I'm just intrigued to see how the melting pot of his recent canon experiences, the setting & his CR, and his role as a myth will come together to influence his development. The dude really thinks he did a whole lot of growing by the end of his last movie but I would argue........... he has a lot of work left to do. Ideally he'll continue to build on his new opening up to people muscle but we'll SEE
Problems With Your Character: Nothing specific! He's feeling pretty bright and breezy after neatly wrapping up and shelving his latest home-world disaster and doing a little bit of character growth. That said, once his myth qualities start coming in in force he's going to have to start reflecting on himself as a person and that is likely to be A Problem.

Character Summary: More detailed background in her journal, but in a nutshell... aspiring actress turned "Final Girl" when a Halloween party turns into a disaster because it draws the attention of deadly sirens. When everyone else is picked off, Cora confronts the sirens and (after declining their offer of immortality), avenges her friends and peers. This is Cora months after, trying to navigate through life now that she knows that things of fairy tales and folklore are real.

Goals For Your Character: Honestly? I just want her to grow and... I don't know, get her to adjust to life again. To dive back into acting and things she's passionate about rather than feeling like she has to be on the defensive all the time. Getting her friends/people that'll help her open up is something I'm 100% interested in to help with this goal.
Problems With Your Character: Right now, the biggest problem Cora has is her inability to let herself get close to anyone further than friendly banter. At the moment she'd much rather prefer to keep everyone at arm's length and at a safe distance because she fears getting too attached. There is also (of course) her tendency to be overly critical of herself and prickly, mostly to deter other people from being too friendly.
Wanted CR: Friends, found family. Romantic CR down the line would be good too, but it'll have to be extremely slow burn. Platonic CR (friends/found family/platonic soulmates) is my jam tbh. If someone gets past her walls she's a loyal, steadfast friend that will 100% rush into danger without so much as a second thought to her own well being.

OOC Limitations/Disinterests: Negative CR just to be negative CR. I don't want to write long drawn out fight scenes and prefer to handwave them generally. I'd like a heads up for talk of dead parents/grandparents, child abuse, or animal death. I also don't tend to play plots that deal with my character dying (I might make an exception someday but I'd have to have A Reason) or having to deal with repeated emotional fallout from close friends dying.

Character Details: Eren doesn't tend to have a lot of outward expression (which is WILD considering he was super expressive when he was just a few years younger, but ya boy went absolutely off the deep end), but he's someone who tends to just seem dangerous. Even if you have no idea about the titan thing, he's just got that Vibe, you know? Underneath that stoicism he does still have way too many emotions, he's just like #repression or something idk. He's very intense, probably seems edgy, doesn't really care if you make fun of him. Basically he has to learn how to just be a person again.
Character Summary: WHEW okay, Eren comes from a world where there are people with the potential to turn into titans (see above flesh mecha link), though most of them cannot do so voluntarily. The involuntary titans eat people. That is pretty much all they do! Eren was a soldier fighting titans, though PLOT TWIST (not really), he can actually turn into one himself. A bunch of awful horrible shit happens for a long time and then there's a time skip, and REAL PLOT TWIST, Eren stopped being the protagonist and became the antagonist. There's another absolutely bonkers plot twist that happens too and idk everything is truly horrific all the time forever ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
If you're like "hey Lyn that told me absolutely nothing about the plot of attack on titan" you're right and I'm sorry.
At the canon point he's from, Eren experiences time in a totally abnormal way so learning about his past is not always easy because he gets kind of confused or weird about the order of events. He's an extremely well-informed narrator but he's not necessary reliable, especially because he won't always tell the whole truth.
Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: Eren doesn't have any permanent features, but the myth I stuck him with is the blue oni story. I haven't decided what I want to do with this in game exactly, but for physical things:
Sometimes if you look at him wrong you might see Eren's titan's features on his face (like these teeth), or his eyes will glow too green. Depending on the event I'll give him an oni mask (in either form; wow imagine a 50 foot tall blue oni! Like the titan wasn't scary enough lol!)
Character Living Quarters: it's a mystery to me too, I'll try to figure it out soon
Character Schools: He does not, he's never had actual schooling in his life so it wouldn't occur to him to go to one? He could probably be dragged along or convinced but on his own he won't attend.
Day to Day Life: This is the hardest question for me in RP since I tend to sort of gloss over slice of life things and go for the ~emotional meaty bits~ so he just does idk regular things. He's bad at being a person. He's fascinated with food, though, since he grew up with scarcity so he will try pretty much any food he can get his hands on here!
Current Mindset/Health: WELL, he's getting over a chronic case of "became the villain on purpose" and dealing with what it even means to be removed from the context that made him that way. Everything he's done his whole life has been very specifically rooted in where/how he grew up, so now he's just kind of directionless. It's a good place for him to be, much better than the entire way his canon ends, but ICly it's jarring. He sometimes lets himself have emotions again, so that's…happening I guess
Recent Developments: Gideon told him he matters because he's a person and that might not seem like much but it was a Big Deal to him
Goals For Your Character: Anything that pulls him out of his stupid bullshit and makes him have to confront the fact that he has feelings and so do other people is good for him. His "full potential" at home is a terrible nightmare, but he doesn't have to be that! He gets to experience actual freedom, which is something he's always been obsessed with, but what does that look like? How do you forgive yourself for things you did in a time loop that technically haven't happened yet but you know about? What does it look like to just exist, forgiveness aside?
Problems With Your Character: Eren just is a problem tbh
NO OKAY he has massive amounts of trauma from growing up in hell, and he shoved all his emotions in a box and hasn't really taken them back out again. Mostly he's just a big question mark. He could do with sharing some feelings but it's hard to get that out of him.
Wanted CR: LISTEN, listen, I am always here to write trashy trash (the m/m kind mostly) and I'm not quiet about it so if you're here for the naughty stuff, let us talk.
Otherwise, people who can pull Eren out of his nonsense even a little bit. That doesn't have to be gentle.
People who will try to get him to have fun, to act like a teenager instead of whatever it is that he does instead.
Other people who are/were violent, who can understand and deal with that, are always welcome too. He may not be A Villain now but he's a messed up person and he does tend to solve problems with violence, and that's not going to change overnight.
Unwanted CR: I don't want negative CR just to be negative; I like there to be a reason for it. Eren is a difficult person and can be a huge asshole so obviously negative CR can happen, I just don't want it out of the blue for no reason.

Gwen is super noticeable. She's extremely pale, is dressed in rags, carries a spear, and has a large scar where her right eye used to be. She's aloof, she tries to duck out and hide from social gatherings.
And you'll usually see her lurking in a tree or in the woods like a cryptid. She is incredibly socially awkward and despite wanting to look scary, she's surprisingly shy and anxious. Chances are if you've ran into Gwen, she'll sniff you over.
Character Summary:
Gwen is her world's future Queen Guinevere from Arthurian lore.
She's heavily inspired by the old Welsh stories and early romances and it is a bit of antithesis of the usual Guinevere. She's a bit feral, she does not act like a princess, and she's very Pagan. Gwen wasn't brought up like your average princess and she spent a good portion of her childhood learning magic and Druidism to preserve the old ways. But like Guinevere, Gwen has been kidnapped a lot so as a result, she's very much on edge, hardened, and is not afraid to fight for herself if need be.
Right now, her story is in the middle of the "How Culwch Won Olwen" story and if you've seen "The Black Cauldron", her storyline has vibes like that, too.

Day to Day Life: Gwen is currently just in observation mode trying to learn what she can about this place and if there's a chance to get out. But she's also very religious and goes about gathering things in the forest, like fauna or stones that my have magical properties and creating an altar.
She's at the point she prefers nature more than being engaged in public places, so if anyone's noticed a weird, ghostly-looking white-haired lady? You can absolutely assume Gwen has been spotted, go for it.
Current Mindset/Health: A little shaken from the abduction (attempt?) during Camp Camelot but also very not happy, probably bordering on losing control of her demonic half
Recent Developments: She's helped Mary from a tentacle monster and was a damsel. Safe to assume she's pretty shaken up right now.
Goals For Your Character: Gwen lacks a lot of confidence and her life revolves around her future. Of course, I want her to expand on that and learn that there's more to her life right now than what's happened to her and learn more about herself. She has major identity issues and hang-ups.
Problems With Your Character: Gwen obviously suffers from a lot of trauma from her previous abductions and a lot of residual trauma from her mother's own trauma. She lives during a time of complex political strife and war, so she carries that along with her and tends to be hardened. Gwen is stuck in the mindset of "fight or die" right now and having downtime is absolutely confusing and alarming to her.
Physically, Gwen is very close to losing her demonic half which means she's close to a berserker-type rage where she'll attack anything and anyone and anyone can notice that with how she trembles.
The more supernatural-inclined characters can definitely notice a very chaotic, demonic aura around her.
Wanted CR: Since she's a little shifty, it's hard for her to warm up to people, so literally anything.
Unwanted CR: Not that I can think of, but given that Gwen is a supernatural being, I'm welcome to question because the last thing I want to do is stomp on anyone's toes.

Character Details: Keyleth has antlers on her head, they are not attached but a crown. She does have vines growing out from her head though and that is attached and they grow and shrink as she likes.
Character Summary: Keyleth is the Voice of the Tempest which means at the age of 22 she's the leader of the Air Ashari and in charge of keeping the portal to the elemental plane of air from becoming unstable and destroying the world. She's also cute, easily embarrassed, and hopelessly optimistic... exctera. Imagine someone with a lot of power and fighting abilities but is adorable and tiny.
Character Role: Legend.
Character Role Deets: Her eyes change color depending on her mood. They are usually emerald green when she isn't feeling overly emotional. She also has these vines that grow around her and they are going out of the side of her head and are usually wrapped around her antlers. I'd love for her to learn to use her vines as weapons.
Character Living Quarters: Living with Vex, Vax, Caleb & Peter. Working on getting Greyskull keep so that Vex can adopt more hobos.

She doesn't have daily things though she does do yoga outside of the tree house in the early morning because no one else seems to like to wake up early. She also goes shopping from time to time or can be seen as being nosy. She's been known to shift into an animal and poke around places she doesn't belong

Goals For Your Character: I want Keyleth to be more down-to-earth and sure of herself. I'd also for her to continue opening up her mind to new places and possibilities. I'd love for her to learn how to do hand-to-hand combat because right now she relies too much on her magic.
Problems With Your Character: She's inwardly struggling to keep herself positive with all this crazy negativity around. This will slowly snowball over a few months when her optimism shatters a bit. Also she needs to talk out this soulbond thing since her and her boy friend are both legends and she's internally freaking out about it.

Character Details: Sophie is about 5' tall, very thin, with long dark hair that goes past her waist. She looks human, but definitely appears underweight.
Character Summary: She's wary and shy, and her posture and facial expressions don't tend to give away much of what she's thinking. Most of the time she just looks composed and calm. Her family was pretty horrible to her and she lived most of her life isolated from anyone not related to her. Once you get past the reserve, she's usually kind and pretty gentle, desperately in need to genuine human interaction. Trust has not generally worked out well for her, but she's had a few experiences in Folk that are helping to change that a little. Her past is full of betrayal and abuse (like being told she's evil, repeated murder attempts, etc) from her family, and has Seen Some Shit (she faced down the Devil at age 16/17), but she's survived it all.

Character Role Deets: She doesn't actually use her familiar abilities because they overlap so much with her actual abilities. She has had her interest piqued about Familiar bonds, but a lot of CR would need to be built in that direction.
Character Living Quarters: Nowhere in particular yet
Character Schools: She's going to be teaching hand-to-hand combat at fighty school, and going to Baba Yaga to see what's on offer for magical folks.
Day to Day Life: Right now she's wandering in places that feel 'normal' to her - forest, camp (sorta), etc. Places where it's not too populated, mostly. She doesn't understand the train and hasn't explored the city proper yet.
Current Mindset/Health: Physically, she's getting healthier because she can actually eat regularly. Mentally, she was damseled and depowered, which actually made her lose her mind for a minute, so she's a bit fragile there. Her answer is to start teaching people how to fight while depowered, because being helpless is one of her biggest fears.
Recent Developments: That damseling really did a number on her, and the fighting classes are new - I'd love for folks to take her up on those. Hit my inbox if you want to thread out some actual training!
Goals For Your Character: Sophie needs friends/family that don't suck! The bar is super low - kind of trustworthy and not trying to kill her is better than what she's had. She needs reasons to actually participate in life at Folk.
Problems With Your Character: Basically covered above - needs friends, needs to work through feelings on helplessness, needs someone to handhold her through civilization in general.
Wanted CR: ALL OF IT (almost). Friends are at the top of the list, potential romance or bonding are great, people she can adopt are delightful.
