July and August Trial Details: Camp Camelot

Camp Camelot
Time for Summer Camp
Welcome to Camp Camelot! Your optional home-away-from-home for the summer!

Amrita will be hosting an away camp with an emphasis on honing survival skills, establishing relationships, and tuning in with nature. You will be able to learn plenty of valuable lessons at Camp Camelot and become a Fox Ranger under Amrita's instruction. She will be looking for Camp Counselors with skills in things such as basic first aid, camping, hiking, star gazing, canoeing, foraging, and other general survival and outdoors skills. This is intended to be a crash course for beginners and a fun way to get to know your fellow Folkies.

Camp Camelot is set up during the months of July and August. The Camp will be pulled down by September 1st.

Characters will be heavily influenced by Thirteen to attend Camp Camelot, but player participation is completely optional. There will be prompts during July and August for those uninterested in Camp Camelot.

The Setting
The Camp is located by the Lakes in Willow.

The Cabins: Campers will be provided with small, four-person cabins each stocked with bunk beds. These cabins are intended solely for shelter in the evening and a place to store basic supplies. Characters can bring whatever they feel they may need on the trip, but Amrita will be supplying things dependent on the lessons.

The Lodge: A small lodge will be in the heart of the camp where Counselors will be staying. Each counselor is provided a single-person bed in a small room. The Lodge has a functioning radio tower, generous storage of supplies for anything you could want at a camp, and a small medical room for any serious injuries.

The Docks: The Docks stretch out onto the Lakes providing Campers with great water access. Canoes and kayaks will be provided along with lifejackets. It is said that a mysterious creature has been seen to slip in and out of the dark waves of the Lakes. One can hope it is gentle or a mere Folkmore story of old.

Dining: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided for Campers who choose to stay at the camp all summer. Meals may vary depending on things gathered/hunted (optional) that day or whatever food Amrita may have summoned. Expect basic meals that can be cooked over coal grills and fire pits. Food can be enjoyed around the Fire Pits and on the various picnic benches scattered around the campsite by the Lodge.

The Fire Pits: The Fire Pits are dug-out pits in front of the Lodge and serve as the main meeting place for camp activities. There is a small concrete stage that Amrita and Camp Counselors may speak from to instruct group activities.

The Piano: There is a curious piano that sits beside the Fire Pits. It is perfectly tuned and Amrita will often take a seat at this piano to play lovely melodies. She encourages others to play if the mood strikes them. When the piano is played, enchanted light rises up from around the piano and makes those in the immediate vicinity feel relaxed and kinder.

Optional Setting Details: Characters may bring individual tents if they prefer to sleep alone. Similarly, you can have characters attend the Camp on the weekends or have them stay the entire summer or go back and forth between the Camp and their actual homes in Folkmore. You can play this by ear. There will be magic compelling most characters to attend the camp at least once or twice throughout the summer.

Sign Ups for Cabins & Counselors

All Campers will be provided a cabin to sleep in while they stay at camp.

Counselors will provide Campers with in-depth lessons for the summer and assist Amrita with her lessons.

Campers can also be Counselors and vice versa, but only skilled individuals are allowed to be Camp Counselors. If your character genuinely knows nothing about relevant skill sets, Amrita would step in and force them to be a camper or leave.

FOR CABIN SIGN UPS

Please use the following form to sign your characters up for cabins. If you play multiple characters, please put all your cabin requests in the same comment so we can better keep track of which characters belong to which player.

Players can either choose to have their characters randomly sorted or you can agree to put your character in cabins with specific characters. Please make sure all players are in agreement.


Interactions with Cabin Mates during the time of July-August can be counted for 3x the amount of spoons typically earned. The characters do not need to be at the Camp in order to obtain 3x the amount of spoons per these interactions.

FOR COUNSELORS

Please use the following form to sign your characters up as a Counselor for Camp Camelot. They can either be counselors for a brief time or the whole summer.


All Counselor interactions with Campers will allot Counselors 3x Spoons. This is considered a job and therefore, Counselors would benefit more "financially" from the Camp than Campers would. Counselors must be at the camp to gain these spoons.

CABINS
If you see anything that requires adjustments please let us know in a comment below. Once cabins have been assigned, they cannot be corrected unless a player has several of their own characters in one cabin.

Each cabin will room up to 4 characters maximum and 2 minimum.

This list will be updated regularly. Feel free to sign up for a cabin at any point between July and August. If you would like to remove your character from the cabins entirely, let us know! If you would like to switch them to a new cabin, every character is allowed ONE switch.

The cabins will be physically arranged in the same arrangement as these boxes with small paths between the cabins. Cabins are color-coded and painted in specific colors, and these will also represent teams that may be rallied for certain trial prompts.

The Counselors
Counselors will help guide activities, provide lessons, and be around to be a support system in Camp Camelot. Counselors will be more resistant to Camp Camelot shenanigans and will be privy to being told tips by Amrita.

You can sign your character up as a Counselor at any point! We will list all Counselors signed up in this section. Those playing Camp Counselors should theoretically be open to playing a leadership role and open to interaction with a wide variety of characters.

Character Contact: Here Character Name: Stephen Strange Skills: First aid, meditation, basic close combat for anyone wanting some practical lakeside exercise, making stargazing class a time of suffering by putting fake illusory stars in the sky and 'failing' anyone who doesn't notice, maybe even some piano lessons as and when the music does its magic. Also magic in general, not to teach but used to enhance the experience here and there.
