That's true! They are fluffy little tyrants and I love them for it. I want to find a cat to adopt, but I'm not sure where to ask.

I hope you're right. I want at least one cat. Older ones, they're not adopted as often. Ones I can give really cute names!

Muffin, for certain. Muffins are so much nicer than scones, don't you think? Scones can be as hard as rocks and the baker insists they made it that way on purpose. Muffins are soft and friendly in comparison.

Now I kind of want a cat named Scone.

They would have to be very serious, most likely an older cat which easily bonds with a single person. Muffin works for kittens anyone could love, but Scone would have to be an entirely different cat.

I feel like any name can take on the shape of the person or thing wearing it, eventually.

Maybe? And there's something to be said for a variety of kitties. For each snuggly one, you need one that's regal and a floof. One which likes you and only you!

I've heard a kitten's personality can change as they become a cat anyway.

Then maybe it's best to not name kittens? Other than calling them things like sweetheart and darling and cutie? That way, when they're grown cats their names can be chosen a lot more deliberately?

I mean, you could probably make that argument for people, too?

Maybe? I've learned that some cultures do that already. Because the meaning of the name is so important.

I don't know, what is your full name?

Mine is Tinya, "follower of the Mistress." Which is so outdated, we gave up worship of any gods or goddesses after my foremothers were overthrown and the caste system put in place.
