TEXTS FROM LAST NIGHT

Welcome to Folkmore's monthly Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.
This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

I'll be ready to heal you, just in case.

Come to think of it this is a really weird bet. It’s a bit hazy why they made it? I was drinking a lot at the time.
no subject
In this instance, you'd be Grog.
I just want you to think about that.
no subject
I am thinking about it. It was a cat I made this bet with. I can probably pass off that I ate the whole thing even if I don’t.
no subject
And probably wear a disguise kit while doing so.
A cat? Really? Just how drunk were you at the time?
no subject
It was some good shit whatever it was.
no subject
Please tell me you got the other person to pay for the booze.
no subject
Also the bread. I remember the smell of that. It smelled good at least?
no subject
Now I need alcohol to get this conversation out of my head.

And, honestly, I don't know where I am. A town square, I think. It's definitely not Whitestone.
no subject
But, town square. I know where that is. Sit tight, I'm on the way.
[Sober enough to fly at least. Or reasonably sure he is.]
no subject
[What? Vax doesn't have the corner on dumb decisions made while being drunk.]
Try to avoid crashing into trees. It hurts.

[It isn't long at all before there is a faint glimmer of light from above. Vax'ildan looks the same as ever. The deathwalker's ward makes him a shadow in the sky. But the wings are different.
They're bigger and the feathers look like the sky at dusk. The faint glimmer of light comes from what would be the sun's final rays. He dives down and lands, sighing.] Last I remember, we were about to push into Emon and end Thordak for good.
no subject
When Vax's wings start to blot out the sun, she shields the rest of the light out with her hand and watches as he lands beside her. Then he says what he does and she has to think things over before she answers that.]
That...happened a while ago for me, Vax. Months ago.
[She's not sure what else to say, but she knows that telling him more might not be helpful, since they weren't on Exandria.]
no subject
I’m not going to back on the deal but, [But at least Vex makes it and that’s enough for him. Thordak falling is…it puts to bed an old ghost. He sighs and folds his wings, tucking them in so the glimmer of the ends of his feathers isn’t annoying.]
I’m glad you’re here. Whatever is going on here, we can handle it.
no subject
I don't know either. It was a bit out of the blue. [And while Vex has Vax, just like old times, there's a sense of sadness that makes it impossible to be truly happy. They were fine before, just them, but without the rest of Vox Machina—and two others specifically—she's not sure how happy they'll stay.]
Well, of course, dear brother. Although, when I find that fox, I'm going to ask her why she didn't allow Trinket to come as well.
no subject
[The sadness he sees hidden in his twin sister’s eyes is mirrored. It feels like a part of him is missing. Vox Machina is their family. The place they belong. He could have told himself over and over it was fine but, he wouldn’t truly be happy until he returned to them.]
Maybe we can convince them to let Trinket be here. And maybe the rest of us are coming in time. I think I arrived first and now you’re here. It’s possible we turn around and they’ll show up.
no subject
Honestly, it's a shame that Grog isn't here. I have a feeling he'd very much appreciate everything this strange place has to offer.
[She reaches over to hug her brother briefly before looking around. If they continue to talk about their friends, their family, it will only hurt them more and she won't do that.]
Then let's not waste any time, shall we? We can look for the others while we take in the landscape. Perhaps we'll find something to distract us for the time being.
no subject
They’re wearing clothes and manning shops and everything. [Like the one that made that bet with him.] Everything is their size. Even the tankards.
no subject
An entire village of cats? Is everything the size of Pike?
[Please say yes. And if this is where he made this stupid bet, she can at least find out the one that he was stupid enough to bet with. And persuade them to do what she wants. Eventually.]
I can't wait to see it.
