TEXTS FROM LAST NIGHT

Welcome to Folkmore's monthly Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.
This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

Don't know why you're apologizing though. You didn't do anything wrong.

... I really don't think you should be calling me a nice person. Not when I'm the kind of person you'd probably be hunting down.

But who knows. I don't know what you've been through or what your world is like, so it's your choice.

... I suppose I could as long as you don't go spreading it around.

Cw: talk of death/murder, bludgeoning, and the mafia
It started when I was invited to an underground tennis competition held on a mafia-owned luxury liner. Apparently they wanted to gamble on the matches. Throw around their money. I wasn't completely stupid. I wanted nothing to do with them or their hobbies, but they wouldn't let it go, so I went.
I probably could have won my way through easily, and I had a mind to teach them a lesson. Thing is they had the whole thing scripted. They wanted fixed matches so they could rake in money from the gambling. Guess it was a point of pride or something because it turns out Mafiosos don't really appreciate it when you win a match you were told to throw.
They killed my family for it. And despite my efforts to have her hide, they eventually found and killed my girlfriend at the time as well. They were after me too, of course but I'd just barely been managing to evade them up to that point. Killing her was the last straw. I picked up my racket and a custom steel tennis ball, and I killed them. All of them. I threw away my future that day. Didn't even try to hide what I did. The rest is history.
