No.

I died trying to stop it.

I never expected to see past the killing game. Obviously, as you recognize, defeating despair was always more important, even if no one else realized that. They were occupied with petty grudges. Broken hearts. Why, you probably would've been astounded at their hope, had it not been suffocated and manipulated towards despair again.

So I did what I could, and unless one of my longer-lived classmates turns up...I don't know what happened after that.

So your talent manifested in a way that destroyed everything in your path. That's pretty amazing, Ouma-kun. I can't imagine a better way to put hope to the test other than a killing game, so to see hope strong enough to obliterate the constraints that bound it. It's too good, really.

Your hope is stronger than I realized.

Unless you're lying to me and you were really just the first victim to die a rather unremarkable death, sacrificed for your light to be absorbed so someone else's hope could shine brighter.

I'll never know.
