[ A location pops up instead of a proper answer. At least it's secluded? ]

(For their sake, it should be secluded! Lan Wangji flies his way there, heart racing. Wei Ying chose him? He lands with less grace than usual and flushes.

What does he say? Maybe words are meaningless. After staring at the other man for a solid minute, he strides up to him.)

Hello.

[ Wei Ying likes Epiphany and all the waterfalls. Especially at the outskirts. He holds back the laugh (nervous laughter) when Lan Zhan lands awkwardly. That flush enchants him!

Instead of the usual tease, he smiles and pushes himself to his feet, absently brushing himself off. Easier to move as a distraction than sitting still. ]

(He doesn't mind the ball being in his hands. Overthinking this will lead to inaction and he has already ruined too many of their meetings. [ He can't help still being uncertain. But he searches the other's gaze and doesn't back away.

And despite all his talk and flirting...the lips that claim his now are the first ones. Ever. It steals his breath away in a gasp before he presses close, arms slipping up and around to hold on.

It's heat and need and more passion than he'd thought possible before his rebirth and really coming to know Wangji. ]

(This heat between them, at least where Wangji is concerned, is born of a love so deep that he is convinced it doesn't have a bottom. He melts into this, their first kiss, and cups Wei Ying's face between his callused hands. Wangji wants to learn this art; how is the best way to kiss Wei Ying?

The small sound their lips make when he pulls back makes him smile.)

[ Who would've thought the frigid face Wangji shares with the world hides such passion?! But Wei Ying knows better now and doesn't want to pull away. His arms curl around the taller man's shoulders and they learn how lips can tease and taste... together.

It leaves him panting a little for breath when they eventually part, but his bright grin says he doesn't mind at all. Especially with the smile he gets in return! He traces it with fingertips. ]

(Learning at the other man's side has always been...easy. Natural. The conclusions they reach are usually in unison and Wangji trusts - and loves - Wei Ying's heart. Even when he is confused by the actions of the other, he waits and he watches until he understands.

Wei Ying has never failed him. He gathers his soulmate close, his arms around a slim waist. The fingers on his lips are kissed too.)

[ He's enjoyed teaching and learning with Wangji. Even when frustrated or outcast. One person he could rely on.

So of course he grins, heart light as he beams up at his soulmate. ]

Aiya, Lan Zhan, I've been doing that most of the time since we were juniors!

(His features soften, his tenderness shining through, and he embraces Wei Ying tighter.)

I didn't know what to do with your loyalty. By the time I realized...

You were in so much pain. I'm sorry, Wei Ying.

[ He can't resist nuzzling their noses together at the sweet expression. The tighter hold makes him want to squirm, but he resists. Only answers by tightening his embrace too. ]

It's in the past. Let's just go from here, alright?

If you're not hurt... (Wangji kisses Wuxian again, lighter this time, showing that he can be gentle.) I don't want you ignoring your pain; you've done that enough. I can take it and I won't love you less for it.

(He slides a hand up Wuxian's back, exploring.)

[ His shoulders shake with a soundless little laugh, affection bright in his eyes. He nuzzles their lips together, feeling rather giddy. ]

I'm not hurt.

[ And the hand exploring is far more interesting than anything else! ]

I'll try not to hide it from you... [ It's just reflex. When he's actually badly hurt, he waves it away and pretends it's nothing. When he isn't badly hurt is when he puts on a great fuss. ]

(Yes and that is the problem and the source of many, many sleepless nights for Lan Wangji! His Wei Ying deserves his privacy, of course, but it's agony to watch him suffer and be unable to do anything.

The answer warms him and he buries his hand in Wei Ying's silky hair.)

I won't hide from you either. (He places a kiss over each of his soulmate's eyelids.) Leaving you for a day...for a few hours... I'm not fond of it.

[ His poor Lan Zhan! But he knows that agony well. He'd hated seeing Wangji's silent suffering.

No more. He smiles softly, eyes closing under the kisses. Then tilts his face up for another kiss. ]

We'll find a place to live. Together. How's that?

(How can he deny him even a single kiss? He won't. Wangji takes his time, nuzzling and kissing those soft lips the way they deserve.)

I like it. (His smile is warm and genuine - a sight that no one has seen before Wei Ying.) Together.
