[fogsong]

As if! [ She calls out from behind the door before she swings it open. There are handful of long, thin cuts on her face and neck and tiny ones on the back of her hands. It's almost like she got attacked by a cat (she did, she absolutely fucking did). It might be a bit of a shock to find that the blood in the wounds is bright blue and frozen but there are specks of dark, sparkly glitter in the wounds, too. And there's what looks like a paw print of glitter on her chest.

She points at him seriously. ] I ask no questions, you ask no questions.

[moseyin]

I got an idea of what happened to you, [Cloud snorts, showing himself in. He's got a little first aid kit with him at least.] Got towels?

[fogsong]

Pretend you don't. [ Firm. Embarrassed. Sulky. She leads him into the kitchen and grabs the towels on the way. The table is mostly clear but... one spot is spattered with glitter. Don't sit there unless you want a sparkly ass, Cloud. ]

Do you want some tea? [ It's called being polite. ]

[moseyin]

No, I should be sober for this. [dr. smartass over here

Cloud gets Sharon to sit up on the counter after he puts a towel on it so he can reach up instead of down and not get glitter all over his clothes. Been there, done that, it was hellish.]

Bowls? [Turns on the kitchen sink to start getting the water heated up and begins just rummaging in some nearby cabinets. A big plastic mixing bowl should do it.]

[fogsong]

[ Oh god, she's just going to roll her eyes and then jerk her thumb at a lower cabinet so he can pull out a bowl (there's a variety of sizes, congratulations, it's like a metal bowl jackpot). ]

You play doctor a lot? [ Conversational as she kicks her feet from her seat on the counters. Yes, sometimes she is a child, thank you for noticing. ]

[moseyin]

Enough. [There it is. Grabs and hands the mixing bowl to Sharon to hold on her lap. Ignores her heels tapping against the cabinets beneath her and gets one of those squeeze bottles with the pointed nozzles out of the first aid kit, bringing it over to the sink to fill most of the way with water.] Usually have magic handy to make things easier on myself, but not here.

[fogsong]

[ That catches her by surprise. ] Why can't you use magic here? I've still got access to mine. [ A fire blooms above the bowl like a flower and then flickers out of existence. Yes, shut up, she is showing off. ]

[moseyin]

[Brows raise at that little flicker of Fire magic, but he's thankfully been here long enough that it's not too much of a surprise. He finishes filling the bottle and pours out a bit so he can mix in some hydrogen peroxide from the kit.] I need materia to cast magic, and the only one I showed up with was a Restore that I gave to my- [HIS WHAT???? he still don't know] -to Aerith.

[fogsong]

[ The way she hones in on that little slip-up! She raises her brows up high as her lips curl in an excitable, knowing grin and leans towards him. ]

Oh. [ Even her oh is knowing here. ] I didn't realize you two were a thing. [ She cannot stop grinning at him with that look. ]

[moseyin]

We're not. [SO HELP HIM, he will squirt this hydrogen peroxide-water all over your face] Hold your arm over the bowl so I can flush the glitter out.

[fogsong]

[ She does as he tells her. Even adjusts the position of her arm so certain cuts are easier to for him to see. ] Do you want to be? [ Oh, the way she is watching him so very intently. You have given her teasing ammunition, Cloud, be careful. ]

[moseyin]

Not really the point if she's already got someone, right? [Cloud grumbles, because it's complicated and sticky and he struggles to explain how he feels to himself, let alone aloud to another person. Though his tone is gruff, his grip on her wrist is gentle as he holds her steady and squeezes the bottle over the cuts in a smooth motion, washing back and forth and squinting down to make sure he gets all the glitter out before moving on.]

[fogsong]

Oh. [ Whatever childish tease that had laced her voice moments earlier is gone, replaced instead with a sympathetic curiosity. ] Are they here?

[moseyin]

Yeah. [Sobers a little, less scowl-y and more just. Quiet, as he proceeds with cleaning out the myriad scratches on Sharon's arms and hands. He promised not to ask but seriously, what the fuck happened.] ...he's the first guy she ever loved. They didn't get the chance they shoulda had, so. [Shrugs a shoulder.]

[fogsong]

You're letting them have their chance. [ She kicks him in the shin gently to pull his attention to her for a moment and, perhaps, distract him from his own emotions. ] You're a good friend, Cloud.

[moseyin]

[Glances up at Sharon in surprise, but returns back to where he's now smearing antibacterial ointment on her scratches, a little withdrawn. He clearly didn't expect that from her.]

...bargain's off, how did you do this to yourself? [He'd rather talk about how he knows about glitter wounds over Aerith and Zack and that whole mess any day.]

[fogsong]

[ She snorts loudly and rolls her eyes. She was being nice and this is how you repay her? She will remember this betrayal, Cloud. ]

If you just have to know, I dropped an open container of glitter on a cat on accident. [ How? Why? Sir, she's an artist and accidents happen (read: she wasn't paying attention to where she was walking and stepped on a cat, freaked out, dropped the glitter, felt bad, and then didn't feel so bad after she was brutalized).] I tried to clean it off but I guess it didn't appreciate my kindness very much. [ She huffs as he finishes up her wounds and looks them over. Very impressive! ]

[moseyin]

That's so much more vanilla than I was hoping to hear. [Turns her arms a bit to make sure he didn't miss any scratches up near her elbows.] It'll be easier for you to just stick your face under the faucet, if you wanna do that. I can clean 'em after.

[fogsong]

[ She slips off the counter and splashes her face with water from the sink until her bangs are sopping and she's got water in her sleeves. ...ugh. She smoothes her bangs back, grabs a kitchen towel to dry her hands, and hops back up on the counter. ] What the fuck were you hoping to hear?

[moseyin]

Dunno. [Takes a look at those cuts on her face. Worse than her arms, but not that bad. Only a few are deep enough to need bandages so Cloud just makes sure the glitter's gone and soaks some gauze with rubbing alcohol.] Something interesting enough to keep the conversation going, probably. [so he doesn't have to]

[fogsong]

[ She catches his eyes with hers and grins. ] Tell me how you learned to get glitter out of wounds. That's gotta be an interesting story.

[moseyin]

[READ LIKE A COMIC BOOK.] Not so much a story as...connections. [Cleans the deeper scratches on her face before getting some of those smaller bandages ready to affix over the open ones.] Knew some folks who uh, they have glitter on. For...job reasons. Learned that sometimes if you get hurt with that on, you gotta clean it out first.

[fogsong]

[ Glitter on. For job reasons. Please give her brain a second to do two plus two, brows furrowed in confusion, and then—click. Her mouth forms a small oval as she Ohs. ] I didn't take you for that kind of guy. [ There's a mischievous flash in her eyes. ] What else did they teach you?
