Texts From Last Night

Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.
This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

[ A real good wind carried off the tiny palm sized bird robot he'd gotten from Thoth. He's been looking for her. ]

I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING TO HER
WHY IS SHE ACCOSTING ME
no subject
I'm sorry! She probably got her circuits rattled when the wind took her! I'm sending you a direct voice call request. Accept it and I'll see if she listens to me through it.

[ Ava's wings make more of a buzzing sound so when Cal hears the flapping he figures Nil's just a frantic Legend and he can't blame her. He feels SO guilty as he talks into the speaker. ]
Ava perch!
[ He can still hear the buzzing and flapping... ]
Ava stop!
[ Nope. ]
Ava heel?
[ That's not a command and he knows it but he's getting desperate here. ]
Ava sing?
[ Finally the buzzing slows to a stop and the robot simmers down at last, perched neatly on Nil's head as her speakers produce a digital sounding version of a Songbird's call. ]

but then at sing, ava settles down on her head and, well. sings. kind of. close enough, and at least she's stopped flitting around her head. nill can finally get her hands back on her comm.]
Thanks
Now she's on my head, but I guess it's better than dive-bombing my face.
no subject
I think if you hold your hand up to her she should hop on it though, then you can just put her down.
no subject
[nill's experience with robots isn't extensive, but she knows enough to assume this]
Well I don't want to just put her on the ground. She's pretty small. Someone might step on her.

[ Cal Kestis is very affirmative in his beliefs that many droids have amazing potential for emotional capacity. His best friend back home BD-1 certainly does. ]
I'll thank you you keeping her safe then. Despite the poor introduction. I think I figured out how her homing signal works so I'll try and make my way to to pick her up!
no subject
Okay. You could have also just asked where we were, but this works too.

[ A boy needs to play with his toys sometimes. ]
I mean try it out in a controlled and safe scenario and not because I just wanted to mess with one of the options I've haven't gotten to use yet. Obviously.

...Are you by any chance in Exile or Epiphany? My only indication right now is an 'E'
no subject
Nope. Let me know if you want a hint.
no subject
Okay maybe just a small hint.
no subject
"E" probably means "east."
no subject
Guess you're right though, on that and the East thing. That does make sense...
[ It's the most obvious answer. East... but not in Exile. That leaves Willow. It does seem like the homing function is reacting well to the direction at least! Progress. ]
Would you say you're in a house in a tree?
no subject
No, not in a house at all. But there are some trees around here.
