It's really not more than a minute or two, and Demyx is not so rude as to portal into Sharon's house, but he'll only knock once before opening the door. He'll come right over by her head and offer a huge glass of milk and a package of Oreos. ]

Good? [ He even keeps his voice low. ]

[ Sharon is a sight to behold, laid out on the floor on her back, legs hooked over the edge of her mattress, arms splayed wide. She rolls her eyes upward to catch the sight of Demyx and the milk and, oh my god, those are brand name. ]

You are my savior. [ She slurs as she shifts to sit up, very obviously Big Drunk. She takes the glass of milk with both hands and makes a happy little sound in the back of her throat. ] I didn't think my-my, uh... [ Hold on, she just needs to take a big sip. Oh. That hits the spot. ] My legs weren't up to upping.

[ Well he used his spoon, he was specific, it all worked out. He sits on the floor without complaint, tilting his head a little bit. ]

Don't worry about it, wasn't a big deal.

You might not think so [ She says between a big sip. ] but it is. [ She sets the glass down, almost drained, and gives the biggest sigh of relief, shoulders drooping gently. When the finally opens the Oreos, she holds the package out to Demyx in an offering of one (or five). ]

Wanna try? [ Come on, man, you know you want an Oreo. ] Chocolate cookies, cream in the middle. Perfect crunch.

Sure! [ She doesn't really have to twist his arm, just because people don't usually invite him on cool ice cream dates doesn't mean he doesn't eat things. Junk, mostly granted, but he's made of magic. It'll work out.

He takes two and immediately bites into the first one, grinning. ] Hey, not bad!

Right? I used to eat them as an afternoon snack after school. [ Usually the generic but they were just as good depending on the store. ] I actually haven't had them in over a year. Couldn't get them in the last place I lived and cocoa wasn't exactly easy to get, either, so I couldn't make them from scratch.

[ And she's still getting used to this Lore thing. ]

Really? [ He chuckles. ] What was that like? [ That's probably a strange question but he does literally mean the school thing, the whole normal life thing. ]

Yeah, I wouldn't even know where to start on how to make something like this.

School? [ She chuckles and almost chokes on cookie crumbs, coughing. ] It was awful. I mean, I never really got experience what it was like to be a normal student but what I did experience, I fucking hated. [ Some of her words slur gently together, her smile innocent. ]

You never go to high school?

Your guess is as good as mine, but I don't think so. I probably would've hated it too.

[ He's not big on sitting still and reading books so much as he is playing his instrument which is far more interesting. ]

It's a lot of sitting and listening. It's seven or eight different teachers each trying to cram you with as much knowledge as they can in a forty-minute time slot. Between that and... asshole teenagers, it's the biggest drain I've ever experienced. [ She pops another cookie into her mouth thoughtfully. ]

You know, there are schools here if you're ever interested in giving it a go.

Ugh sounds like a nightmare if you ask me. [ Demyx snorts. He actually would've been too young for high school, but he didn't remember going to school either way. ]

Couldn't pay me to read stuff I don't have to. [ He quirks a smile. ] Boring.

Actually... [ Despite his complaints, he looks a bit contemplative. ] I did check out Baba Yaga's. Struck a deal where I don't have to sit in class much. It's magic. I don't wanna read about it.

Yeah, and you didn't have a choice in going where I was from either. [ Some of that was her dad. Despite all the moving and aliases, he was insistent she get an education. It was lame (and she loved him for it, really). He'd tried to provide her with some sense of normal even if he could never let her have the full experience. ]

That's actually pretty sweet. What kind of magic are you learning? [ She's sure that there are some people out there that could learn magic from a book but, like Demyx, Sharon isn't one of those people. She learns by doing. ]

Well I'm hoping to learn some new things. [ He admits with a bit of a laugh. ]

But right now I'm working on manipulating other liquids. [ Demyx hadn't actually had a chance to show her his tricks. He holds out a hand and summons a little ball of water, then with his free hand uses his fingers to manipulate it into a treble clef. ]

Water's always been my element but uh, other things I can just move the water, you know? So it doesn't really work.

[ As he forms and shapes the water, Sharon watches with wide eyes, cookie loose between her lips. This is the one thing she's never seen before: she's never seen someone manipulate water. She's quick to clap her hands together very quickly, impressed, and leans forward to better observe it. ]

So, you could move the water in my milk? [ She returns her attention back to his face. ] Or the water in my body?

[ New way to murder just dropped, bros! ]

I can definitely move your milk around. Well, most of it. I'm working on the rest of it.

[ He offers her a closer look at his musical creation. She could touch it and it won't come apart, because he's still subtly holding its shape. ]

Uh. I've never tried that but... [ He shrugs after a moment. ] There's no reason it wouldn't work.

[ With a wide, concentrated look of awe, Sharon runs her fingers through the floating, shaped water. She tries to disrupt it somehow, get to splash on him and the floor, but it sticks to its shape. She grins widely. ]

If it would work, you could easily take out any of your enemies. [ Just in case Demyx didn't know that people need the water in them to survive. ]

[ It holds just fine, her fingers will get wet, but that's about it. It's still water after all. It's such a small amount Demyx doesn't even have to think to make it hold. ]

Sounds kinda gruesome. [ Just a statement of fact, but she is probably not wrong. Yuck. ]

I try to avoid putting myself in situations where it might come up.

You never know when you might need to do something gruesome to survive. [ She tells him nonchalantly as she finally pulls her attention from the water to pop another cookie in her mouth. ] Those kinds of situations can come up at any time but that's just how life's worked for my unlucky ass.

Mm, I've done a lot of things to survive. I get it. [ He does, actually, although nothing so gruesome as what she's describing. He claps the figure in his hands and it dissipates as mist. ]

Never really had the stomach for it and I'd rather not be involved if I can help it. But, if it's me or them, I'm not going down without a fight.

That kind of shit isn't for everyone, I get it. [ It's been her life so long she can't untangle from it. And, frankly, a little blood excites her. ] You get used to it, though. I remember how fucking freaked out I was when I saw my dad kill a man and now that kind of survival feels... natural.

Well..as long as you don't try to kill me. [ Demyx chuckles lightly, although he knows people who would. They're not around. ]

I could see it though, if there's nothing else you could do. I don't know what I'd do in that situation. Probably keep fighting for survival.

I won't as long as you don't give me a reason to. [ She smiles a little too sweetly when she says that. ]

I mean, that's all you really can do. You just keep going.
