Texts From Last Night

Welcome to Folkmore's Texts From Last Night meme! This meme can be used as a branch off from our Test Drive Memes and be used as game canon or just for casual fun in the setting! You do not need to be in our game or be invited to play on our TFLN. This can be a great way to meet current players for future invites, get a feel for the setting, or just have some fun.
This can be used for samples on our applications and used as spoons for players accepted into the game!

You make me sound too perfect.
[If this is Cal’s idea of revenge, it’s working. What a thing to live up to!]

Like I was saying, Master Vos seemed to consider you a bit of a wiener and I had a bunch of special classes with him. It definitely flavored my opinion of you just a little bit. But I did genuinely admire your beard.

[Huff. That had to be Quinlan. That’s definitely something he would say.]

I kind of had to listen to him for a while, he was the only other psychometric!

The closest I think I could get is that it's like all you senses are simultaneously being stretched and squeezed to fit how the person whos' memories you're view perceives the world. You're a passenger in their mind, you see everything they see, you feel their emotions how they feel them.

[That sounds... awful. But he knows full well that some younglings struggle with the abilities the Force has given them. He's never had that experience. If anything he's had trouble connecting and learning.]
It must have been difficult learning to cope with such an ability.

Psychometry is rare enough that there weren't many useful records in the Archives, I was lucky Master Vos was able to teach me some techniques to help me. He made lessons fun too! He showed me how I could use psychometry to figure out the password that would remove the Initiate Protection Safety lock off the archive holonet terminals so I could watch swoop dueling vids.

Which is odd to think about. My master didn’t always like the rules either, and while he was many things, Qui-Gon was not what I would call fun.

Another Jedi who was helping me with something recently, Master Cordova, would speak very fondly of him. He said they were friends when they were initiates.

[A few moments later.]
But he was also wise, kind, quietly patient, highly intelligent and well read, always one step ahead with a plan, intuitive, and knew me better than I knew myself. We didn’t always get along, and despite the doubts I had, he cared.
