Thalia's Comedy Plotting Post

Thalia's Comedy
Introduction

[ QuestionsHousingFull Navigation ]

To many, the word "Muse" is familiar: someone or something that serves as another's source of inspiration. Thirteen is familiar with this herself and she certainly has her sources of inspiration. She finds it so useful that she decided to bring her inspiration to the world she has built... literally! With them, Thirteen hopes to inspire Star Children to think outside the box, find ways to face their issues with creativity and ingenuity and feel inspired to keep reaching their potential.

Whenever Thirteen feels that her Star Children are stuck, she will bring her muses to help them out. Under specific circumstances, of course.

Thalia will make her appearance today! The Muse of Comedy and Pastoral Poetry, this jovial lady will soon introduce herself to the network and work her magic, and inspire Thirteen to work hers: she will whisper to Thirteen the best way to get Star Children to work together is by pushing them together so they will finally open up and stop being lonely. And what's the most hilarious way to do this? By forcing them to live together!

Thirteen, inspired by Thalia, will pick Star Children at random and place them and their things into available houses. While Star Children will still have access to the original house they live in, during the following week they will constantly be brought to the new house Thirteen assigned them... and to their new roommate(s) as well!

Inner workings
Hi Folkies!

We have decided to throw a simple and completely optional mini-event that we plan on repeating every 4 months. With it, we want to help our players find roommates for their characters, and we hope to offer an IC way to explain why even strangers would end up living together.

Thalia, one of Thirteen's muses, has suggested to Thirteen to grab several Star Children and put them (and their belongings) in new houses - be in pairs, trios, and so on. Naturally, since characters are able to acquire their own housing without any difficulty, the IC reaction is to just go back to their original house once they realise they are somewhere new and sharing the place with a stranger. However, Thirteen will make it so that every time a character returns to their original house, they just end up in the new one they now share. She is a world-bending Fox after all! This would give characters the chance to actually (forcefully) live together for 7 days; after this, they can decide to either continue living together or simply part ways and go back to their original house.

The objective is indeed to find roommates, but naturally, you are allowed to have your character choose to return to their original house at the end and continue to live alone. No one will be losing their original housing. As a reminder, characters can also acquire many different houses in the many different neighbourhoods of Folkmore if they want to, therefore it's possible to keep the original house and the new shared house at the same time.

The IC post from Thalia (and the start of this event) will be going up on the 28th and will last until the 4th of the following month. This event will be repeated every 4 months, during low-intensity months.

If you wish to participate, please fill out the form below! You may use this post to plot specific set-ups between characters if you'd like. Be aware this event will always depend on the number of characters that have signed-up, but the mod team will try our best to make everyone happy!

And as usual, let us know if you have any questions.

If your characters end up living together and/or in a new place, please make sure to update that information on the Housing Page.
