Thalia's Comedy Plotting Post
Thalia's Comedy
Introduction
To many, the word "Muse" is familiar: someone or something that serves as another's source of inspiration. Thirteen is familiar with this herself and she certainly has her sources of inspiration. She finds it so useful that she decided to bring her inspiration to the world she has built... literally! With them, Thirteen hopes to inspire Star Children to think outside the box, find ways to face their issues with creativity and ingenuity and feel inspired to keep reaching their potential.
Whenever Thirteen feels that her Star Children are stuck, she will bring her muses to help them out. Under specific circumstances, of course.
Thalia will make her appearance today! The Muse of Comedy and Pastoral Poetry, this jovial lady will soon introduce herself to the network and work her magic, and inspire Thirteen to work hers: she will whisper to Thirteen the best way to get Star Children to work together is by pushing them together so they will finally open up and stop being lonely. And what's the most hilarious way to do this? By forcing them to live together!
Thirteen, inspired by Thalia, will pick Star Children at random and place them and their things into available houses. While Star Children will still have access to the original house they live in, during the following week they will constantly be brought to the new house Thirteen assigned them... and to their new roommate(s) as well!
Inner workings
Hi Folkies!
We have decided to throw a simple and completely optional mini-event that we plan on repeating every 4 months. With it, we want to help our players find roommates for their characters, and we hope to offer an IC way to explain why even strangers would end up living together.
Thalia, one of Thirteen's muses, has suggested to Thirteen to grab several Star Children and put them (and their belongings) in new houses - be in pairs, trios, and so on. Naturally, since characters are able to acquire their own housing without any difficulty, the IC reaction is to just go back to their original house once they realise they are somewhere new and sharing the place with a stranger. However, Thirteen will make it so that every time a character returns to their original house, they just end up in the new one they now share. She is a world-bending Fox after all! This would give characters the chance to actually (forcefully) live together for 7 days; after this, they can decide to either continue living together or simply part ways and go back to their original house.
The objective is indeed to find roommates, but naturally, you are allowed to have your character choose to return to their original house at the end and continue to live alone. No one will be losing their original housing. As a reminder, characters can also acquire many different houses in the many different neighbourhoods of Folkmore if they want to, therefore it's possible to keep the original house and the new shared house at the same time.
The IC post from Thalia (and the start of this event) will be going up on the 28th and will last until the 4th of the following month. This event will be repeated every 4 months, during low-intensity months.
If you wish to participate, please fill out the form below! You may use this post to plot specific set-ups between characters if you'd like. Be aware this event will always depend on the number of characters that have signed-up, but the mod team will try our best to make everyone happy!
And as usual, let us know if you have any questions.
If your characters end up living together and/or in a new place, please make sure to update that information on the Housing Page.

Juu / Leo and Mina
Leo - will not be the best housemate. He is very VERY VERY VERY VERY messy. Because he never lived alone before and because he was never taught to live alone, Leo is sort of learning to do that on his own which means... he doesn't do it very well... dirty dishes, clothes everywhere, a lot of porn too. He doesn't know how to cook, so all his food is takeaway oops. Clearly, he is a huge brat and his living situation reflects that. He probably would do well with someone who can teach him how to live on his own.
Mina - currently lives in Agrona Academia. She would be a great housemate because she is tidy, not really messy, and respects other people's privacy and place! She has lived in dorms before back in her world, too. Problem: living with her will end up causing a bit of a headache because Mina's sense of style is something like this. So expect... a lot... of pink... and bright colors...
Nat
Senku Ishigami: Senku is a pretty good housemate. He'll fix anything that needs to be fixed, makes improvements, cooks everything from scratch, doesn't really have any stuff - but he's also the kind of guy that stays up almost the entire night and gets distracted on various projects. He presently lives in Gram. He has a roommate, so it would only be a temporary living situation because he will definitely go back to Gen at the end of it.
Toge Inumaki: Toge is a little trickster who will probably tease whoever he's living with, if not swipe something to play a prank with. To his credit, he's a very good cook though, so he brings that to the table. He's also difficult to talk to because he speaks in riceball ingredients. It could be a strange experience. He's not got much with him, but he's likely to sit around and stay up late watching cooking shows and mukbangs. He currently has an apartment in Satori Hills.
Vash the Stampede: Vash hasn't lived with anyone in a long time, and it would be so weird for him. He'll likely never seem that comfortable, and he'd never dress down around a stranger, so he's always covered head to toe. He's very kind and gentle though and would avoid conflict. He's currently living in Leshy and will have to visit home every day to tend to his garden.
Yato: Yato seems like he would be a terrible roommate, but actually he's a total neat freak and will clean the place top to bottom because that's how he likes it. He doesn't sleep much at night and he drinks way too much, that and he's a little withdrawn at the moment, but otherwise he's alright.
9S: 9S currently lives in the dorms and has never lived anywhere else that wasn't like that. He's an android and he has one treasured possession which won't take up much space at all, it's a rose that Inanna made him. He likely doesn't know what conventions are around cohabitating with someone and is likely to ask a million questions.
Demyx: Demyx is an annoying roommate if he doesn't like you, and neutral at best if he does. He comes with a bunch of sitar music, free of charge and the kind of music you get is likely to be how much you're pissing him off at the moment. Do you want It's A Small World stuck in your head? Be mean to him. :3
Man all of mine need to customize their spaces, but they're so new lol. They're all very light on the belongings. You can reach out to me here, on discord at Ammeschan or plurk at

Thalia (the me not the npc adkjlafhd) | Cal
Cal doesn't really have a permanent home yet since he's pretty new. He's just living his typical nomadic lifestyle bouncing around and checking out the lay of the land. He grew up as a Jedi so he's used to living very modestly and typically has few personal possessions. He does tend to collect spare parts and bits of junk that look like they could be useful in upgrading his equipment or droids he's friendly with.
He meditates frequently and is quiet during these times unless he's playing music and then he's the opposite of that (any potential roommates WILL hear his favorite song at some point). He's someone who's always willing to do his fare share of help around the house (just make him stay out of the kitchen). Worst part of living with him? He is implied in canon to maybe not wash his clothes as much as he should (he's used to living in his space ship or most recently on a couple a pretty dry/dusty planets he's just trying to conserve water okay). Just beat him over the head to do his laundry more often he'll probably comply.
feel free to poke me at

Ro | Rezo
Lifestyle wise he's out at Baba Yaga a lot and when he's at home he's probably doing paperwork related to the school or to the FHA. He sleeps very little and mostly lives off of instant noodles, even though he does know how to cook.
His Relic was recently turned into a companion robot courtesy of Thoth, and it will probably scuttle around curiously and poke into people's stuff.

Kitty - Naoto Shirogane
At the moment Naoto is currently living alone in room 101 of the Amrita Academy dorms. She likes it there, it's a bit spartan because she moved in less than a month ago and isn't really buying much. But it's got what she needs.
So lets mess with her... As a roommate she's clean but private and has no sense of sleep schedule. She will be up late at night and up early in the morning. She is 100% the type to get upset at someone moving her stuff slightly to the side and is a bit of a hoarder. So it's lucky she's not gotten into her hobbies here.
Not really sure what I'm looking for. I do kinda want to be mean and have her in Cruel Summer or something. She went with the dorms for convenience and if moved she'd have to get a train to get to class.
Re: Kitty - Naoto Shirogane
Sil's Muses
Gideon Nav Puns, sexy lady literature, and swords. She's a decent roommate and will force you to eat/sleep if you don't do that enough.
Baphomet Sociable goth god. Also loves puns. Can make you clothes with the snap of two fingers and probably will. That said, not used to living with people and may hog the bathroom.
Jedao Looks 45. Will ensure the home is safe or as safe as can be. Will probably act like a dad to anyone under 30. You'll probably get the chance to see more of his scars. His torso is basically made of scars. Wtf, ask for stories.
Inanna Ooooh roommates. He's never had the fun sociable roommate experience, so he'll want to! Pillow fort! Movie night! He can cook tasty food. May or may not have ~visitors~
Mel She's a tidy and organized person, generally, but there will be a whole lot of art supplies coming with. They'll probably take up some of the common space. Plus side, you might get painted?

I can only offer Naoto. 16-year-old teen detective/student/cat familiar, whose got some bad habits like skipping sleep and meals to work. Is emotionally constipated and kind of an unintentional dick at times.

Moose
Hawke is a fantastic roommate whose Legend wings of fire are always out so just be prepared to see fire in the house all the time and maybe sometimes panic about it. He will cook though everything he can make is very simple. He does have a bad habit of leaving doors unlocked because he doesn't care if people come in and take things. And he's not very good about picking up after himself given that he had servants for a long time.
Steve Rogers of the What If? flavor will bring with him his cat-fox pet Libby but is also a great roommate. Doesn't take up much space at all. Doesn't eat much given his small size. Will help keep the place clean and believes very strongly in a chore wheel type of situation. Mostly spends his time sitting around sketching or reading. Might accidentally get paint stains on things but he will clean them up!
I might be willing to let someone room with Cobb Vanth if they really, really want to but he won't be a good roommate. Mostly keeps to himself and would constantly be trying to get back to his trailer in Cruel Summer. At least he's neat and will cook if he has to. He's just a grumpy old man right now, kinda dealing with some stuff from the last Trial.

Lyn
He's a good roommate though! Tends to be pretty clean, doesn't own a lot of things, can cook passably. He has a Yamask that he got from Baba Yaga that HYSTERICALLY he does not know what it is called, only that it is a ghost type pokemon.
He doesn't experience linear time well, tends to space out/forget when in time he is, is touch-starved (will not initiate touch generally but does miss that bit of human connection), OH YEAH and can turn into a flesh mecha (this is not a secret). On the up side, once he's your friend, he's very seriously ride or die. He will end the world for you! Maybe literally! Probably not but...you know, there's a chance. :'))))

jabbers / riptide
He's looking for a new place to stay anyway so this is all very convenient for him. Riptide won't be an overly messy roomie, but you'll find he won't really know that chores need doing or certain things need cleaning and refilling. Generally the best thing he will be able to offer is his incredible [citation needed] company. He doesn't really have any possessions but if a permanent thing works out he will start collecting little bits and bobs just because it's nice to have things in your home! Whether or not these things are wholly appropriate is another question entirely.
Riptide can also be there to enable some character bad habits, though not because he's doing it on purpose. He has a very high tolerance physically and mentally for stupidity so he doesn't usually see anything wrong with nonsense until it's too late.

Spectre
Speaking of food. He's not a great cooker, outside of rations, and maybe broth or soup. Also, expect to be eating alone. Since he doesn't eat in front of others. Drinking, however, could work out with him using a straw.
His place isn't fancy, or decorated aside from what came with it, and furnished simply with the essentials. Beds, couch, chairs. Table and chairs. It's at least clean.

Art's Bois
Marus Thornspawn is a tiefling who is potentially more than a quarter devil, but doesn't let that stop him from being a protective paladin and all-around good man. He's got horns, hooves, red skin, and a 6-foot forked prehensile tail that is as useful as a third hand. He can tell when EVIL is about, and is learning to cook and garden.
Axel/Lea is a red-headed hothead with a heart of gold, a tragic backstory, and a quite literally fiery temper. He is a keyblade wielder, but not a master, and currently living wherever he can break into. He's not a mean or bad person, but he has his issues. So many issues. He needs friends.

Re: Art's Bois
Hebe
She's currently in Gram #7 in Finn's old cottage and decorated with many flowers, so apologies to anyone allergic. She will try her hand at cooking to be a good housemate but beware to anyone who is faint of heart (and stomach).
Nie
Otherwise he has exceptionally good hearing, so unfortunately he will hear his roommate's everything. This combined with his act first-think later approach to danger this could potentially be disastrous for his roomie depending on what they're doing.
He is also a silly little guy that stays up too late and takes an afternoon nap in the hot sun.
