I thought you just wanted to see it fall from the sky. If you want to see it burn things that can happen too.

Well I did want to see it fall from the sky, but if it vanishes because of lake water there won't be much to see. Fire and water generally cancel each other out so I'm trying to find the parameters here.

With enough focused mana I could make it burn on water. It would just take a lot of power.

Well using up power for something as small as a demonstration doesn't sound like a very good idea.

While my mana is out, yes but mana comes back. Without it I'd just be a person and not a mage.
