It does though! Works a lot better than drinking more alcohol.

Viktor's going to do experiments but I don't think those will fuck me up. If they do, he has to buy me a drink first.

More alcohol would only make it worse in the long run, I'd fall flat on my face if I tried that method. Water it is.

Viktor is doing what? He wouldn't hurt anybody on purpose, no, but what sort of experiments are those?

Mornings are an affront to the Maker. Who I already hate so if I think they're annoying Him then yes, I hate mornings that much.

It had something to do with my brain when I use magic. Ask him about it.

No idea. Get me a frying pan and we can try.

Mornings are not for everyone, I'll give you that.  How much would you dislike me if I told you that sometimes I'm up before the sun has risen? So many things to do, so little time. At least that's how it was back home.

[ In Folkmore he isn't exactly sleeping in until late, but he has fewer meetings to attend and can relax a bit more. ]

Okay, now I can see how that could be of Viktor's interest. He always liked knowing in detail how everything worked. Just be careful, you all.

Hah. We can test it when you come over to the forge. Breakfast at work. I'll bring the eggs.

He promised it'll be painless! And if it isn't, he owes me a drink.

[ Jayce knows Hawke is just being dramatic,  it makes him laugh. Maybe if you woke up that early you'd be awake before the city started burning, Hawke. ]

That I am. A heathen. This is the reason why I also like my coffee black, it helps me wake up fully.

And you can trust Viktor on that, he wouldn't hurt you.....Probably. [ Time for Jayce to be the one pulling Hawke's leg. ] Do you have anything against needles?

Aw :( And here I was going to bring you bacon.  We could always meet at noon and have that weird breakfast-lunch thing. I've heard people calling it brunch or hungch? Something like that.

Or you could sleep and then you'd need less coffee and tea to get you through the day. Think about it.

Needles? For sewing? [ His world doesn't have hypodermic needles. They probably don't even have a solid germ theory. ] I don't know how to sew but I can learn? If Viktor needs me to.

An interesting hypothesis, for sure. I do get more stuff done in the mornings than at night, however.

As much as I'd love to see Viktor teaching you how to swe, I was talking a different kind of thing. Needles for drawing blood, vaccinate people...they're called hypodermic needles. They tip is just as small as a sewing needle, though. They are very helpful tools for medicine.
