He stares at the words, mind mildly blown at the notion of courting a legitimate dragon; that's simply (and physically, morally) impossible back home, and he assumed Calix wouldn't be interested in him that way. More than that, it didn't even chance to cross Aemond's mind that Calix might. How do dragons court each other, anyway? Vhagar never went in for that sort of thing, being a grandma.

Calix is comely as a human, admittedly. As a dragon, he's beautiful, as bronze as Vhagar might once have been before she turned green with old age. ]

i'm not all that attached to one set of sexual organs or another, if that helps.
i'm pretty curious about 'usually,' though. particularly since your dragons don't change shape.

You are very confusing.
Nobody courts the dragons, they would be insane to do so. I meant more that men aren't considered appropriate partners.

that's a shame, i had some really interesting images of someone trying to give a dragon flowers.

Are you saying you can change your sex? On occasion the dragons I know of may do so but it's ... rare.
So you're the romantic type. Hmm.

yeah, we all can. i carried my kid, and honestly, i'll probably carry any future ones i have, too.
i can be, i guess. i picked up the flowers thing from watching humans, though.

[ What a mental overload. All he can think is a Targaryen child born of a dragon, imagine. Such a child would dominate all the Seven Kingdoms without challenge. He is slowly going mad, he suspects, because this isn't Westeros and he can't exactly drag that dragonman home. Fruitless, such a coupling.

mates. we usually have a couple in our clans.
my baby's sire is named alard. he's the oldest of us still kicking around, as far as any of us know, so i'm pretty happy it worked out with us.

And you mated as dragons? In that form?

[ it is.. admittedly weird talking about this. at home, people already know all this stuff about his people. he guesses aemond's dragons are pretty different, though. ]

yeah, we always do when we want kids with one another.
we had to be pretty careful for obvious reasons, though.

So you cannot become withchild as a human woman?

i can, it's how we have kids with other races. why, you thinking about knocking me up?

Since I asked about you it is only fair you know something more of me.
I am the blood of the dragon, descended from Old Valyria. My family has an affinity for dragons, we claim and ride them. That is how my ancestors civilised and united the Seven Kingdoms.
