Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

Announcements / Reminders
As a reminder, Milk has stepped down as the headmod and our mod team has been re-structured. If there are any issues, feel free to contact us at any time through the mod contact page.
One of the changes we are implementing today is the brand new Event suggestion and Player Plot page, which can be found in the Game Navigation from now on. If you have any events you'd like to suggest, or perhaps run a plot on your own, use that post. We would be happy to hear your ideas!
Finally, we are happy to announce the Game Feedback post! We would like to hear what you think of the game so far, possible changes you'd like to see, or perhaps any issues you would want to see addressed. This post is open to our playerbase, and with it we hope to make Folkmore a game everyone can enjoy.

Upcoming Weather for December
As we enter December, all the glitter from November starts to fade away, but the shinning stars remain, leaving the night sky bright all through the month. Kuma Lisa is still the current iteration of Thirteen, however characters will often see her in her Fox form that has now turned pure white to match the snow that covers most of the land (with the exception of Cruel Summer).
The giddy effects of Kuma Lisa are replaced with a calm and peace that Star Children might find comforting. It's more clear now that the nights are much longer than before, and the cold outside makes Star Children want to cuddle up with someone to keep warm. Despite the cold, however, the night will feel always beautiful and peaceful. Every night paper lanterns will be released to light the streets and stores all around Folkmore; these will magically remain in place until the end of the night, rather than floating away. When the day comes, they will rise up and disappear.
The days, in contrast, will feel a bit more grey and listless. There won't be a lot of light and everything seems a lot slower than usual, lacking the spirit of the night. Star children may feel a bit more depressed than usual but if they reach out to others this feeling may be eased.
As a reminder: the Anti-Hero trial is still on going until January 1st.

Invitations
Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.
Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Characer Species: Human / Vessel
Character Details: Yuji has bright pink hair! He also has a pair of scars under his eyes and can sometimes feature additional body parts (cw: minor body horror)
Character Summary: Yuji is a kindhearted, loyal, dedicated and enthusiastic student who just wants to do his best to protect people and, eventually, die a good death. He's currently the vessel for the King of Curses, Sukuna, who has been left behind so he's not being plagued with him here in Folkmore. He's the kind of kid that would do anything for someone just because they asked nicely and is a complete sweetheart, if not a bit of a dumbass. Full info & permissions!

Character Role Deets: A halo and golden eyes manifest when he uses his cursed energy
Character Living Quarters: Satori Hills apartment
Character Schools: N/A yet, but he's gonna look into school!
Day to Day Life: Wake up -> go for a walk with his growlithe -> eat -> nap -> read -> bug Megumi -> go for another walk / practice / training -> bug Megumi -> mix and repeat!
Current Mindset/Health: While he might not show it, Yuji is definitely going through a lot of grief at the moment and processing a lot of trauma that happened recently that he hasn't had much time to really think about before now. He puts on a brave face, but inside he's fighting a lot of internal battles and trying to figure out whether or not he really deserves to be having fun / be alive, basically.
Recent Developments: He has a pet Growlithe (Hisuian form) and has been quite open on the network about that and his minor body horror.
Goals For Your Character: Make more friends! Process his grief! Deal with his trauma! Be told it's okay to be sad (even if he tells other people that)! Be happy(?)
Problems With Your Character: Yuji definitely sees himself as something closer to a cog in a machine at the moment and sees himself almost like a tool, so he's working through that slowly but surely.
Wanted CR: He could definitely do with a new mentor/father figure since he doesn't have his, and new friends are always welcome - Yuji is a super easy person to get positive CR with!
Unwanted CR: No for romance, as he has a partner!

Character Details: He has a very intimidating presence and currently has one eye that looks like Charles Xavier's as part of their soulmate bond.
Character Summary: Erik is a Jewish Holocaust survivor who was experimented on by a fellow mutant. During his journey he met up with Charles Xavier who helped him unlock his power and, once he got vengeance on the man who killed his mother, began to campaign and fight for mutant equality. He has recently spent the last ten years living as a human until his wife and daughter were murdered and was then manipulated by Apocalypse, only coming back to the "good" side when he remembered Charles. Character Role Deets: Horns on his head and fangs that manifest when he's angry
Character Living Quarters: A treehouse in Leshy
Character Schools: 😂 Charles is working on it
Day to Day Life: Erik mostly keeps to himself and doesn't interact with others, but he can be found jogging, practicing his Magnetokinesis, spending time with Charles and staring despairingly at his Pokemon
Current Mindset/Health: Erik is miserable at the moment. He is still reeling from the loss of his family and his own betrayal of his mutant friends and trying to overcome that, while also trying to understand the rationale of what his "true potential" might mean, as a mutant who had his potential unlocked.
Recent Developments: He and Charles are now fairly obviously soulmates thanks to their eyes!
Goals For Your Character: Get some friends, maybe start him teaching, develop his socialisation skills and start settling in properly.
Problems With Your Character: All of the above! Misery!
Wanted CR: I am open to anything at the moment - Erik is an easy route for some negative CR and will make friendly with people who are like him easily too.

Character Details: Your typical Tales of franchise old man character! VESPERIA SPOILER you might notice if you see him in a less covering shirt that his heart is some kind of gem!
Character Summary: Raven puts on a front of being a carefree, idle, silly old man without too many cares in the world but in reality he's a deeply wounded, pretty miserable man who is trying to find some kind of purpose in life. Application and permissions.
Character Role: Familiar
Character Role Deets: Fox ears and fox tails!
Character Living Quarters: In Flynn's cottage
Character Schools: He is planning to start teaching archery/swordwork!
Day to Day Life: He's asleep. Like, almost all the time. Or at least pretending to be. Otherwise he's lounging around acting as if he's a careless old man.
Current Mindset/Health: Getting better! He has been miserable over the last few weeks but things are slowly improving as he comes to terms with his life.
Recent Developments: Nothing major, other than finding out what's happening to him in the future and the course of his life - the usual Tales of things.
Goals For Your Character: Start teaching, deal with some of his struggles, maybe get some relationship stuff starting but otherwise be more social and do his best to not be such an isolated, sad old man.
Problems With Your Character: He's just sad :(
