Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

As a reminder moving forward: invites close on the 5th of every month when applications open.

Upcoming Weather for November

Baba Yaga's fog will recede by the first week of November. This will leave Folkmore with crisp autumn days swept through with leaves of golden hues with maroon and brown touches. Enchantments from October will fade away entirely by November 1st. The beginning of November will be brisk with a few warm days dappled here and there, but by November 13th, light snow will begin to blanket Epiphany and Willow.

During November, the skies will take on magnificent shades of red, ranging from deep burgundy to vibrant scarlet. It casts a wonderous glow across the realm. Characters may start to feel wistful and nostalgic.

Invitations

Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.

Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Invites allow new players to reserve/apply to the game. Invites do not guarantee that new players will get in. Some invites may not be accepted and we will message players on a case-by-case basis if necessary.

Players only require an invite for their first application. Once they are a player in the game, they can apply as more characters at a later date. If a player drops completely from the game, they will require a new invite to get back in.

Monthly Pacing: I try to get to tags as quickly as possible, but sometimes 2-3 days happen (I work full-time, and ya know)
OOC Limitations/Disinterests: Not into playing out sexual encounters, but I am open to romance and characters having sex. Just think more YA fiction, not smut.

Character Name: Loki Odinson
Character Age: 1053 (he looks good for his age)
Characer Species: Jotun
Character Details: Even when he's being serious, he sounds playful and teasing.
Character Summary: Loki Odinson is a try hard. No, really. He grew up in his older brother's shadow so he always acts like he has something to prove. I mean, he became a villain because he was trying to hard to prove himself. He's also mischievous by nature, arrogant, but also charming and charismatic. He's also a powerful magician who can, among other things, astral project and has been known to visit people in that manner when he couldn't be bothered otherwise.

Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: He has begun to sprout golden horns from his brows, but he hides them using his illusion magic most of the time.
Character Living Quarters: He has a cottage in Gram
Character Schools: While I haven't done the actual comment yet, I'm going to have Loki teaching magic at Baba Yaga
Day to Day Life: Teaching at Baba Yaga, and exploring for the most part, though he does make his way into Willow to the Prancing Pony, and he also explores around Exile quite often.

Current Mindset/Health: He's acclimating to Folkmore pretty well, all things considered, though turning into an actual skeleton recently bothered him more than he'd like to admit.
Recent Developments: Nothing spectacular has occurred as of yet
Goals For Your Character: I want him to continue to make friends and start to actually care about people here.
Problems With Your Character: Currently, Loki is struggling with the idea of this being his afterlife, and the fact that he may never see anyone he cares about ever again, this includes his mother, whom he'd hoped to be reunited with in Valhalla.

Wanted CR: I'd be down with anything, but I'll settle for friends at the moment. Romance would be a long, slow burn.
Unwanted CR: I welcome all types of CR
