Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

As a reminder moving forward: invites close on the 5th of every month when applications open.

Upcoming Weather for November

Baba Yaga's fog will recede by the first week of November. This will leave Folkmore with crisp autumn days swept through with leaves of golden hues with maroon and brown touches. Enchantments from October will fade away entirely by November 1st. The beginning of November will be brisk with a few warm days dappled here and there, but by November 13th, light snow will begin to blanket Epiphany and Willow.

During November, the skies will take on magnificent shades of red, ranging from deep burgundy to vibrant scarlet. It casts a wonderous glow across the realm. Characters may start to feel wistful and nostalgic.

Invitations

Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.

Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Invites allow new players to reserve/apply to the game. Invites do not guarantee that new players will get in. Some invites may not be accepted and we will message players on a case-by-case basis if necessary.

Players only require an invite for their first application. Once they are a player in the game, they can apply as more characters at a later date. If a player drops completely from the game, they will require a new invite to get back in.

Monthly Pacing: I tend to do a round of tags a day at least though I do at times go a few days in-between and other times I boomerrang constantly. Just depends on energy levels and all that. I've been slow this past month.
OOC Limitations/Disinterests: I'm interested in all sorts of RP -- gen, romantic, sexual and violent as well. I'm not great at writing fight scenes but I play fighty ladies so... hit me with your best shot.

Hayan Park | Unholy Blood | Legend

Character Name: Hayan Park
Character Age: 20
Character Species: Pureblood Vampire. She was born a vampire, not turned.
Character Details: Hayan is 5'3" with bright blue eyes and slitted pupils, white hair, dark black claws for fingernails and red lips. The red is very natural, all part of the pureblood vampire thing. In the past she had a human guise as well but she got so angry at one point it broke and she can't go back now.
Also she can't eat regular food, it makes her violently ill because of how vampire blood circulates. She can drink anything though (alcohol doesn't get her drunk whatsoever) and she can eat anything made with blood, particularly seonji (coagulated chunks of ox blood made for a soup in Korea).
And she's not undead! She's a vampire but she was born one as compared to most other vampire in the series that were turned. That's why she's called a pureblood.

Character Summary: Info for all of her powers. In short summary she can run real fast, is very strong, can recover from nearly anything that doesn't destroy vital organs and has terrific hearing and smell.

Hayan is a girl with a cheerful personality that's only now coming back to shine after a good half year of being constantly mad and killing other vampires. Her emotions do turn on a dime sometimes and she's quite capable of turning chillingly serious or filled with rage. For the most part though all Hayan has ever wanted was to live a normal life loving the people in her family, whether they're found or not. She's very kind, doesn't believe in taking human blood and really just wants to help.

Character Role: Legend
Character Role Deets: She has eyes that sometimes change to reflect her moods -- a brilliant glowing red when she's angry, soft pink when she's flushed or embarrassed. More will crop up eventually. She also has silvery white wings to match her hair that tend to pop out along with her white crown of thorns halo when she gets excited, haha.

Character Living Quarters: A cottage in Gram.
Character Schools: Nowhere at the moment but I'm keen on sending her to either Agrona for fighting, Baba Yaga for abilities or Amrita for survival.
Day to Day Life: So before she got here Hayan was involved in a near six month campaign to stomp out all of the Angels of Death, the defacto leaders of all the vampires in Korea. She'd also discovered the identity of the one they called 'God', an imperfect pureblood who is bent on making everyone in Korea a vampire.
She has stuff to do at home, sure, but for now she's just chilling and resting. Now that camp is done and the waters have receeded Hayan wants to explore Folkmore a little more. I think this month she's going to go look around the schools and pick one to start attending. Also the libraries at the schools -- Hayan loved to try to read as a kid.

Current Mindset/Health: Recently Hayan made a deal with Varen for friendly dinner dates so she's honestly doing a lot better mentally thanks to that. She was getting pretty lonesome for a while but as long as she has people she can enjoy eating around like she did with her adopted siblings or Detective Euntae then she's alright. This past month with it's ball was really nice for her too.

Recent Developments: So she's trying to make friends, honest she is. The one thing she misses most is eating with other people. She's been tentative about asking for anyone to eat with her because she generally can only eat blood-based products (like broths made with / including blood, coagulated blood like seonji). She can cook regular food -- she does it all the time for her adopted human brother and sister in canon! She's even a really good cook believe it or not, her parents were as well. So if you can hang with someone who can drink anything but can't eat regular food, hit her up.

Goals For Your Character: FOUND FAMILY. Eventually I want Hayan to make a boatload of friends and maybe take a couple of them under her wing as their big sis. I wouldn't shrink from anything romantic/sexual either (18+ F/M of course) though by this point in canon she's starting to have an inkling of feelings for one Detective Euntae Hwang.

Problems With Your Character: She doesn't want to gross anyone out by seeing her eat blood, haha.

Wanted CR: Found family! Friends! Romance! I'm game for it all. If you're something supernatural (a vampire, a werewolf, etc.) then for sure hit her up.

Helga G. Pataki | Hey Arnold! AU | Myth

Character Name: Helga G. Pataki
Character Age: 19 (timeline goes Hey Arnold! -> The Jungle Movie -> three years pass -> The Patakis (Helga is 15) -> four more years -> Present, 19 years old)
Character Species: Human
Character Details: Helga stands around 5'10" - 5'11" and she's got a definite modelesque willowy figure. Nowadays Helga does wear things other than a giant pink hairbow and pigtails too! Okay sometimes she still does the pigtails and sometimes she can be caught with a pink bow around a ponytail. Her blonde locks are somewhere just past shoulder length and now and then she'll dye her tips pink just because.

Character Summary: Info. Back in the day Helga was a relentless high school bully all in an attempt to mask over her more sensitive and poetic side. Now after a whole lot of therapy and a whole lot of time maturing she's far more the sensitive and poetic version of herself ... with that sharp Pataki tongue still intact. She's self-confident, no nonsense and while she doesn't resort to violence she might just do so for a good cause. She'd rather put her sharp tongue and sharper wit to work though and tear down people verbally if need be. Despite all of this and her rough exterior? She's actually pretty easy to make friends with.

Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: Helga has a set of pink, sparkley horns that she does her best to ignore and an a classic devil tail with spaded tip to match. Does she hate them? Yes she does. Will she put pink bows on the horns and tail at some point? Yes she will. Then she'll demand to know what you're looking at.

Character Living Quarters: A treehouse in Leshy.
Character Schools: Kuma Lisa! She's majoring in creative writing, literature and theatre.
Day to Day Life: Beyond classes Helga mostly keeps to her place and either writes, reads or practices lines for plays and the like. She's not much of a cook so she ventures out most nights for food and has a real good relationship with the locals. No like serious, she calls one of the cats 'Sal' at this one place and he just kind of lets her?

Current Mindset/Health: Honestly in spite of the Halloween Ball and Baba Yaga's shenanigans beings what they are she kinda feels more like herself than she has in years now. Outside of Hillwood, outside of all the old haunting places reminding her of Arnold even after all these years ... is it bad to say she feels free at last?

Recent Developments: Helga is brand new to the game and still learning her place here.

Goals For Your Character: I'll be honest, I have none. Maybe eventually having her confront her lingering love for Arnold or something, idk.

Problems With Your Character: It's Helga, she always had problems.

Wanted CR: Friends, found family, you name it. Helga's own parents are flawed and not that great ... but at least Miriam has been trying. Big Bob is as hard headed as ever.

Reko Yabusame | Your Turn to Die | Myth

Character Name: Reko Yabusame
Character Age: 23
Character Species: Bongo Human
Character Details: Reko stands at 5'7", weighs 121lbs. with a somewhat muscular build (it's a Yabusame thing?). She's got that punk rock / visual kei look going hard BUT her hair? All natural ... save for the blonde streak, sure. But that wild puffiness of it is something she's always had.

Character Summary: Info. Reko is kind of a musical prodigy and had a very close, loving relationship with her big brother Alice until she was discovered by the music industry when she was in grade school. She dropped out of the music industry by the time she was going into highschool, a thoroughly changed person. The corporate engine basically broke her down and spit her out, forcing her to write music she felt no passion for and leaving her a bitterly angry person who would sooner kick you than talk to you. She hated everyone and had no mercy for anyone.
Then her brother Alice ended up in jail. Reko lost all enjoyment in music, the one thing she thought she was good at and understood. In the two years between when he went in and when they met again Reko looked hard and deep at her life and did a thorough 180 on the person she had once been.
So sure, she's a little rough in her attitude and how she acts but Reko has a huge heart that's still recovering from a multitude of things. She wants to help people, wants to do the sort of things she ought to have done for her family through the years and all that. She believes in "harsh to the strong, kind to the weak" nowadays and fully enacts that whenever she can as repayment for the bitch she once was.
That's why she's a Myth because Reko still isn't very good at seeing herself as a good person. Instead she's sort of a sinner trying to redeem herself.

Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: I'm just slapping down the list from her info, haha.
* Horns. Red accented with black.
* Fairly short claws, black with red accented tips. Don't want to get in the way of playing any instruments!
* A slick black-furred tail with a tuft of fur on it's end that likes to react to her emotions. It puffs out when angry or scared and flicks around when she's content. Looks more or less like a lion's tail.
* Smaller fangs much like in the above image as well.
* Seeing in the dark & detecting incoming threats.
* While she is typically selfless, she's very vulnerable to becoming hyperfocused on a goal already and that's only amplified by her being a Myth now.

Character Living Quarters: An apartment in Satori Hills.
Character Schools: Nope, but I would like her to go teach music somewhere. If there's a school where that would fit in anyhow. Maybe Kuma Lisa?
Day to Day Life: She's chilling. She performs acapella at the Prancing Pony pretty often and she's learning how to get along with Alice.

Current Mindset/Health: Alice is alive! Reko couldn't hate this place even if she tried now, no matter what bullshit it throws at her. If her big bro can live here then she's fine with whatever "price" she has to pay for that.

Recent Developments: Reko has a few run ins during her memories and showed a lot of her problems with the music industry and what they put her through. Now she's frequenting the Prancing Pony more, returning to the roots of what she loves music and just enjoying herself. And she's trying her best to figure out how to bond with Alice again. It's been so long since they acted like a read brother and sister, y'know?

Goals For Your Character: I want her to eventually realize that she doesn't have to eternally suffer to make up for the bullshit she put people through as a kid / teenager. Eventually I'm open to her raising to the level of Legend as she comes to terms with this. Also maybe romance? Anyone over 18, though she tends to like the kind of rough-tough yankee types like herself with guys and soft, sweet and wholesome when it comes to women. That's not set in stone though.

Problems With Your Character: At the moment she can't really figure out how she ought to reconnect with Alice. She had been mourning for him, now she can learn to be his sister again!

Wanted CR: I want gen, I want awkward romance, I want found family, I want smut. Give it to me.

Character Name: Thena
Character Age: 7000+
Characer Species: Eternal
Character Details: Vaguely British accent and uh, check out her permissions, it's got information about her appearance.
Character Summary: It's said in her world that a lot of stories about Athena were based on Thena, though she really likes to remind people to leave out the 'A'. She was known as the warrior Eternal and her role in life for a very long time was war. Unfortunately, this means she kind of has very little experience in just socializing. This was not helped by her development of Mahd W'yry, an illness unique to her kind that basically causes her to forget when she is and to lose control. She enters a trance-like state where she'll just attack anyone around her. To protect everyone around her she and her partner went into exile for the last five-hundred years.

Character Role: Legend
Character Role Deets: She'll be getting wings eventually that resemble owl wings and fold like a cape.
Character Living Quarters: She's trying to find somewhere that's going to be safest and away from people. So any suggestions might be good.
Character Schools: None at the moment
Day to Day Life: Thena's just trying to learn things about this world and well about the world in general. She's trying to master using the relic. She likes the cat café and she really likes Exile.

Current Mindset/Health: Thena is trying her best to adjust to how strange the world is and to being alone. She's never been alone and it's a struggle for her to not juts go off on her own and isolate herself completely.
Recent Developments: Nah, she's still very new so nothing major as of yet.
Goals For Your Character: I would like her to find people she can eventually open up to more about her Mahd W'yry and that may help her to learn how to deal with it. I'd also really like her to fight, to really cement to herself that she is still Thena the Warrior Eternal and for her to find a purpose. What that purpose may be is kinda up in the air, but potentially mentoring some Legendary budding young hero?
Problems With Your Character: Mentally she's just struggling with a need for isolationism and with just how much she misses her partner from her world and the other Eternals. It's weird being without them.

Wanted CR: Friends, people to teach her about modern things and show her how to be 'normal'. Teach Thena how to just go shopping and relax and have fun. Someone please. Maybe introduce her to relaxing hobbies, she likes art and has been shown to draw in canon so maybe expound upon that some. Maybe find some people to teach who want to learn combat from someone that has 7000+ years of experience. People she can open up to about the Mahd W'yry, what happened with her partner, and that she can eventually trust to stop her if she needs it. People to teach her what to do now that she has the chance to just choose to do whatever.

Lorna

Character Name: Lorna Dane (Polaris)
Character Age: 30s
Characer Species: Mutant
Character Details: Very vivid green hair
Character Summary: Lorna is a mutant from a world where the world absolutely hates them. After a disaster involving mutants occured anti-mutant laws were put into effect that made it basically illegal to use your powers or just...be a mutant at all. She fought with the Mutant Underground to try to co-exist until she decided that co-existing probably wasn't actually going to ever work. While she dreams of a mutant homeland where they're free to just be themselves, she couldn't actually bring herself to sacrifice her own kind for that dream.

Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: She's got horns that developing that are shaped like a pronghorn, similar to a headpiece she wore in 616 canon.
Character Living Quarters: She's actually found a place to settle down in Gram and is working on fixing that up. She does have really bad nightmares sometimes so if any neighbors want to say their metal shakes now and then or lightbulbs explode, feel free!
Character Schools: Got a job working at Baba Yaga's school and helping people with their powers.
Day to Day Life: Due to how paranoid she is, she's spent a lot of time wandering around trying to learn as much as she can. She's also spending a lot of time at the school.

Current Mindset/Health: She's doing alright-ish all things considered. Kind of enjoyed the trials and being able to make it through them even without her powers.
Recent Developments:The trials have given her some power enhancements more inline with her 616 counterpart that she's going to be curious to learn more about.
Goals For Your Character: Learning more about her powers and the limits she may have, teaching more people who have powers and taking them under her wing as a big sister type figure, and building more friendships up!
Problems With Your Character: Lorna's just going to completely ignore any sort of problems and bitterness she may have, that's just how she is. She'll probably take her frustrations out on random pieces of metal she finds throughout Folkmore.

Wanted CR: People she can Big Sister in the Worst Way Ever. She's especially fond of people with powers or nonhumans, but humans who have definitely Seen Shit definitely work too. She's protective, supportive towards pushing people to just be themselves no matter what that means, and really openminded towards people's pasts/powers. She's very much the type to encourage someone to not hide parts of themselves no matter what those parts are. Some friends her own age would be great too, as well as people for her to actually talk to about the complexities of her life and the choices she made. People who might challenge her on if she actually made the right choices or not. Also potentially romance or a fling with someone who wouldn't mind that she's a complete and utter disaster with way too many issues. She's lonely.

I really want people who have more dramatic lives than her that she can listen to their problems/their lives and use that to ignore her own problems. She'd really rather listen to others than acknowledge her own shit so bring me all your characters with issues that want someone to talk to or someone to trauma dump on.

Also people to realize she's given two different names. She needs to pick going with one someday but she's been a bit back and forth.

Re: Gideon Nav | The Locked Tomb | Myth

Character Name: Gideon Nav
Character Age: 19
Characer Species: Demigod
Character Details: 6'2" and built. Unless otherwise noted, if it's light, she's wearing sunglasses. Sometimes her face is painted like a skeleton in black and white. She has a pangolin like tail and can turn into a sea serpent.
Character Summary: Gideon had been all of three places before Folkmore: Ninth House (built underground in a planet with no atmosphere), Canaan House (ancient house with < 20 people in it, murder times), and Mithraeum (space station, got a horrible infestation of terrible space bees and murder). She loves puns, goes ksadjng at hot women, and will aggressively adopt you if you show concern like one (1) time.

Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: Gideon's obstinate over the littlest thing if you order it or force it or whatever. However, she's willing to do a fuckton if you just ask. The ability to choose what she does and focus on herself is something she's always scratched and clawed and dug for, and she's doing that in Folkmore. Currently, she's struggling with ways she COULD fit all roles, and I'd love some engagement on that, the ways she fits multiple, ways she doesn't, etc.
Character Living Quarters: Apartment in Epiphany with Harrow.
Character Schools: Not consistently. She learned how to swim. More of a stop by.
Day to Day Life: Exercise, practicing with the sword, trying any and all kinds of new food, and oh yes, trying to solve how time works, make people not die, and help people become better.

Current Mindset/Health: *nervous chuckling* Gideon feels the need to decide her own future for herself STRONGLY but not what she wants that to be. She's been focusing on helping others because yes she loves people and wants them to be fine. Help her also focus on herself.
Recent Developments: Gideon spent most of the month as a potentially canon!zombie body version of herself. She needs to process that more.
Goals For Your Character: Gideon still thinks of herself as "good with swords" person, even as she does SO MUCH with people. I want her to get more self-aware on that and also how to better wrangle her people skills to the way she wants. Her people skills are mostly people talent. She's not had much chance before Folkmore to skill up in that.
Problems With Your Character: Covered above.

Wanted CR: More found family, especially parental and mentor figures. Maybe some sibling-y relationships? Potentially someone has their own ideas of who she should be, but that'd be either minor or well communicated OOCly to make it work.
Unwanted CR: Romantic/Sexual
Open/Closed to New CR: Gideon's social, so some new is generally always welcome.

Character Details: Some vampiric looking features (red eyes, sharp canines, pale skin) but not a vampire. British accent. Primarily wears black with metal accents. Sometimes no t-shirt under his jacket. His physical vulnerability is tied to emotional vulnerability.
Character Summary: Goth only child of wealthy British family with archeological ties. When he lost his parents, he went into a self-destructive grief mode, including sabotaging relationships. When he had started to pull himself together, he got made a god against his will, with a two year death sentence, and increasingly trapped in an abusive relationship. He chose to leave it behind to come to Folkmore but still expects to die in about six months.

Character Role: Familiar, but he pretends to be a Myth.
Character Role Deets: His animal forms tie into his divine identities. Caprine (goat) for Baphomet. Leonine (lion) for Nergal. He leans heavily into the goat side while playing a Myth. Being a familiar aligns with his lifelong goals/preferences/etc. However, that means vulnerability, and vulnerability is hard both emotionally and physically (they're linked). Acting a myth is a very YOLO here for a good time not a long time coping mechanism and meant to keep people out.

Recent Developments: Literal dungeon crawl was OMG so great. It really engaged his inner nerd in a way he'd sort of forgotten about doing. Let the nerd out.
Goals For Your Character: His overall arc is around vulnerability vs. power, healing from an abusive relationship to healthy ones, and life when you're expecting to die (and one day... when you then don't). I want to hit at least a couple vulnerable moments each month and develop relationships that at least poke some holes in his walls. Larger shifts toward successful vulnerability and learning how that isn't just "bad" power-wise and good mentally but also can help him develop some of his other powers better too.
Problems With Your Character: Baphomet's emotionally lonely because he's been holding himself back, even from people who have been wonderful and open etc with him. He also hasn't found people yet to be able to let go, be bad, and have a bad time with (a good bad time?). Most things stem from him holding people at arm's length or more.

Character Summary: Gemmaline is genuinely good at heart and wants to make the right choices that keep people around her safe and happy. She hopes for a good solution to problems that arise, but recognizes that in truth not everything can turn out well and is mainly a realist; understanding that the world is cruel but at least trying to push things in the right direction. She has little patience for whiners, slackers, or the pompous. Her background is that of an orphan who grew up in a society that heavily values claiming lineage to one of the Great Houses, so being classified as a nobody has turned her against the rich, titled, and powerful — especially if they abuse that power. She was a bit more wild in her youth, being a member of the Thieves' Guild and stealing from those she felt deserved it, but now she only does sneaky things if it's to uncover a villain's plot and is more likely to want to help those in need. She's been thrust into the role of savior for her world like any good little MMORPG protagonist, but again, she's more of a realist about it than anything else.

Goals For Your Character: I'd like for there to be a mixture of events where she helps people and where she fails because she's heavily depended on in her world and she needs both a break and to realize that trying to do it all isn't feasible.
Problems With Your Character: Gemmaline is still missing friends and has leftover sadness from what she saw in her memories. ESO doesn't have romance built into it, but sometimes characters get flirty and it's implied that perhaps someday there could be something, so who she saw in her memory was one such person before he sacrificed himself. That event plus hearing about people gaining soulmates and in relationships has her wondering if such a thing is even meant for her.

Wanted CR: All of the above! She was an orphan and gathering found family is important. She's always down for learning something new or teaching others in turn. Character Summary: Varen is a loyal and dedicated individual who has settled himself into a life of service as a bodyguard to the royal family in his native land. He's quiet, thoughtful, and is trying to lay low after the recent heartache of losing his love (the princess he was guarding) to a political marriage in a foreign land. Ordinarily he tries for a stoic, calm demeanor but werewolves are emotional creatures and right before the full moon is when that's the most intense. He's protective, cautious, and a little bit of a buzzkill because of it, though experience has proven that someone with enough charm can convince him to do nearly anything.

This month he was sent through the trial in the mansion and finds that he's pretty loyal to Thirteen because she's given him the opportunity to get over his pain. ETA: NGL, I completely forgot he gets a reward for making it through the trial. IDEK what to get him. Either an animal companion or some magic. Maybe telekinesis so he can pull things to him? IDK, I'll figure it out.
Goals For Your Character: To find people here he considers pack and to balance his emotions properly (knowing when to be open and when to hold back).

Character Details: Short voice clip here. Classical vampire looks. During the day, he is within a clear bubble made of a set of wings. He also has another set of bat-like wings. Occasionally more. Dramatic and extra in his body language.
Character Summary: The last living member of a vampire family that believed in human-vampire equality (not that humans have, generally, given a fuck lately). He has a lot of skills from having to do stuff himself. Pretty much not liked by either side. He fell in love with a human who loved him back, and they had the worst cross country road trip ever being hunted, before being betrayed. His wife died, and he fucked off to the stars (taking her body with him as promised). He hadn't talked to anyone in years before coming here. He's dramatic af, with deep sadness inside him, and always struggling with bloodlust.

Character Role: Legend.
Character Role Deets: meta Legend thoughts. He has strong opinions that legends shouldn't think better of themselves, the decisions that they make, etc, compared to other roles just for being the heroes. Vampires and humans weren't originally intended to have turned out mortal enemies like they did, and he wants to make sure that doesn't happen between Legends and Myths. The community aspect is also so <333333 to him. It's been so long since he had community. He's been a hermit long enough.
Character Living Quarters: Lupine in a BURROW. He also turned the windows into walls.

Day to Day Life: this hasn't entirely been established thanks to the fog. He didn't get to see much of Folkmore before it rolled in. So TBD.

Current Mindset/Health: He's glad to be here, wary of some but cautiously choosing optimism. Part of him expects to get rejected by others at any time, but that's not stopping him.
Recent Developments: The trial was the first time he got to experience what it was like to be human, and he didn't even get to go into the sun. RIP. He massively enjoyed it, despite the weird fail flail experience of trying to survive a night like the Frontier's as one.
Goals For Your Character: He would love to help successfully build community in Folkmore. Heart eyes love. Honestly, he's such an isolated character for so long that reconnecting with people, seeing various types not be enemies, is so good. It'll always be slightly tense because of the urge to drink blood, but that's okay. He really hasn't gotten to have bumpy relationships and such in thousands of years. Let him freak out one is ending once it gets deep but they work it out.
Problems With Your Character: Grief. Folkmore's the kind of place he and Charlotte could be happy together, so he misses her even more. Also, OMG, who let the dogs baby vampires out? Someone help these youngins (yes, that's him, he will).

Character Summary: Mary thinks herself to be very intelligent, logical, and practical. Unfortunately she has little sense or natural wit, is vain, and is also completely oblivious to those things. She has tried to stand out among her prettier sisters by being well read and talented at playing the pianoforte, but she has no taste and plays for the attention it gives her instead of love of the instrument. Her canon point is after the novel ends because it's implied that with her sisters gone from the house, she no longer gets unfavorably compared to them and feels a little happier as a result. This is a good jumping off point to have her grow as a person.

Character Role Deets: She has black horns coming out from her head and that has really messed with her mentally. She's still struggling with the belief that she may be in Hell and is a damned soul marked with horns so she needs to come to believe otherwise. She was told that the horns can be hidden but as she has zero magic affinity, she hasn't been able to yet. It's a goal for the future (and something I want to do because I keep forgetting to mention them in threads!).

Character Schools: She's attending Kuma Lisa Academy for a general education.
Day to Day Life: Besides attending her classes, Mary is really a homebody though she can be spotted out and about at times in order to get food since she doesn't know how to cook. But she's learning!

Current Mindset/Health: Just... a mess. She's scared, feeling alone, and out of place with her manners and societal expectations of others.
Recent Developments: Mary will actually start taking weapon lessons with Kaeya! As much as she dislikes the idea of a lady wielding a weapon and fighting, she has convinced herself of the practicality of the endeavor since she needed to use a pole to bust Kaeya out of a bubble. The skill might be necessary one day! Also, she now has a pianoforte and sheet music in her home so she'd be happy to perform for others. She will slowly start cooking and it will be a disaster until she gets the hang of it.
Goals For Your Character: I want her to learn so much here about other people and their worlds. I want her to slowly grow more thoughtful and wise and be someone others would like to be around instead of merely tolerated. And she needs to learn not to compare herself to others and think she's in competition with them for attention.
Problems With Your Character: Mary is still feeling scared, alone, out of place, struggling for attention from others, and is being a pain in the butt.

Goals For Your Character: My ultimate goal is always to get the character to a place where she knows for sure that she doesn't need to go back to her own world. This could mean wanting to stay in the game setting forever, or eventually going home with someone she grows close with. That's a very long-term goal. In the short term, I want to just get a lot of CR for her, gradually making her more comfortable with telling people that she isn't Human. And, of course, romance is always a definite desire!

Manabu's an officer for the Space Defense Force that protects a series of trains that can travel through space. He got sucked into the nightmare of Deerington's last 5-6 months, went through hell, and got spit out on the shores of Trench. From there he had to learn to really make a living out of enduring horrors, and he was doing just that before getting plucked here!
Sincere and hardworking and polite, he's still got a lot of Anime Protagonist in him that his personal hell hasn't beaten out of him.

Character Role Deets: He's very slow to accepting new/unusual powers and abilities, so he's been quite slow to manifesting any abilities. He can shapechange when he sneezes/hiccups/gets really scared, but doing it on purpose is still a work in progress.

Character Details: A slightly tall blonde woman with pointed tips to her ears and a voice that sounds like this. There is always a peregrine falcon in the vicinity of her, if not riding on her shoulder. Sometimes she speaks to the bird and looks as though she understands it.
Character Summary: Christine was an alchemist and magical healer in one of the three major city-states of the continent of Idan. These cities were each ruled by one of three dragon brothers who by their nature slowly ensorcelled their populations to love and worship them. As a dragon's greed for wealth and power only grows as they age, the dragons went to war to conquer one another's cities and Christine joined the war as a healer. In the last great battle she was struck down on the battlefield and that should have been her end, only one hundred years later her bones were approached by a hooded figure who resurrected her. As part of this awakening, Christine's soul had to be split between herself an a magically created animal, hence the bird. As necromancy is forbidden magic in Idan and she doesn't know who did it or why, she's been keeping her Awakening to herself while trying to find answers as to what her purpose now is.
