Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

As a reminder moving forward: invites close on the 5th of every month when applications open.

Upcoming Weather for November

Baba Yaga's fog will recede by the first week of November. This will leave Folkmore with crisp autumn days swept through with leaves of golden hues with maroon and brown touches. Enchantments from October will fade away entirely by November 1st. The beginning of November will be brisk with a few warm days dappled here and there, but by November 13th, light snow will begin to blanket Epiphany and Willow.

During November, the skies will take on magnificent shades of red, ranging from deep burgundy to vibrant scarlet. It casts a wonderous glow across the realm. Characters may start to feel wistful and nostalgic.

Invitations

Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.

Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Invites allow new players to reserve/apply to the game. Invites do not guarantee that new players will get in. Some invites may not be accepted and we will message players on a case-by-case basis if necessary.

Players only require an invite for their first application. Once they are a player in the game, they can apply as more characters at a later date. If a player drops completely from the game, they will require a new invite to get back in.

Kaeya Alberich | Genshin Impact | Familiar

Character Name: Kaeya Alberich
Character Age: 21
Characer Species: Human
Character Details: Kaeya is a flashy dresser that's always got a smile on his face. Whether it means anything or not, he dances with words around, answering a damn thing. As a familiar, he has wolf ears, fangs, claws, and a tail. His tail is long and fluffy, complementing the fluffy ruff of his cape.

As any other creature, he is a dark blue color with silvery white patterns of stars on his feathers/scales/fur.
Character Summary: Kaeya is a knight that is used to tugging strings to learn all he needs to. He's tricky, seems always to be smiling, and yet says very little about himself. He focuses on assisting others and poking his nose into the mysteries of the world around him. But get him as your friend, and you'll find a steady, loyal companion who will do his best while delighting in the risks of a life of adventure.

Character Role: Familiar
Character Role Deets: At first, Kaeya stuck to wolf shapes. He has a hybrid (read: werewolf) form I like using. But in general, I enjoy how he treats shapeshifting like a fluid thing.
Character Living Quarters: Lapine with Diluc Ragvindr.
Character Schools: He doesn't go to school yet but will soon. I will likely pick up teaching too.
Day to Day Life: Kaeya spends a lot of time in the library and exploring the world. He's out to uncover everything he can.

Current Mindset/Health: Curious about the world around him. Resolute in his desire to protect others. Mostly stable for now.
Recent Developments: Kaeya has come to the shocking conclusion that he's happy. It's weird, and he isn't sure how to handle it. In the meantime, he's reaching out and making alliances—business as usual.
Goals For Your Character: I want to keep working on him figuring himself out. He's pretty stable in who he is. But becoming comfortable with standing between and not being in a way - the hero - is something I want to work on.
Problems With Your Character: He's dealing with his issues with emotional vulnerability and letting people in.

Wanted CR: Friends, alliance, sneaky fellow people, sharing intelligence, and so on.
Unwanted CR: No hate for the sake of hate, romance, and crushes.
Open/Closed to New CR: Open to deepening current cr and starting new!

Vax'ildan Vessar | Critical Role | Legend

Character Name: Vax'ildan Vessar
Character Age: 28
Character Species: Half-elf
Character Details: Vax has long dark hair he keeps pulled back away from his face in style like his twin sister's. He's usually always in dark armor. There's usually always a dagger on him somewhere.
Character Summary: Vax'ildan is a seemingly casual guy that can get fairly serious when the occasion counts for it. A smart ass who cracks jokes. He's deadly in a fight and fiercely loyal to his friends. He has all the traits of a legend. Selfless, righteous in a way, and dedicated to protecting others.

Character Role: Legend.
Character Role Deets: Once Vax'ildan updates, his black wings will be the colors of the sunset edging into the fading light of dusk at the tips of his feathers. When being stealthy, his wings will turn entirely jet black.
Character Living Quarters: Greyskull keep with the rest of the Critical rollers.
Character Schools: N/a for now.
Day to Day Life: Vax has been training/studying cartography and forest tracking skills. He's also learning the ways of druids bit by bit.

Current Mindset/Health: Vax is at a crossroads. He has found his purpose, place, and where he truly belongs. But he has difficulty with the value himself. To him, others are more important and deserve to live wonderful lives. But he is coming to see how this view has hurt others around him who love him.
Recent Developments: Vax is getting canon updated, and with it, it will shift some things around. I'll keep it quiet for now.
Goals For Your Character: I've always just wanted to see what would happen if Vax just got to live and grow. That's my main goal for him. To develop and find his path.
Problems With Your Character: For one, he has a death wish; he's reckless and sees the value in others, not himself.

Wanted CR: Students, friends, allies, found family if it happens, in general, hit me.
Unwanted CR: Romance, he's taken.
