And, Fresno...is that in California? I've heard it's beautiful in California, the sea so close, the redwoods. I'd like to see both sometime. See the coast from another perspective and see what it does to my own perspective.

Yeah, it was one of the first things he told me. He got a lot of discrimination, his parents had it a lot worse. But, and not to that extent, when I was a kid, people discriminated against the Irish. And my parents are Irish. None of my men cared about that, and if they did, I took them off my team.

California really is beautiful. Lots of the nature is preserved. I think you should see it. I've never visited Japan. The Pacific didn't look all that different to me from Korea. But it was nice to visit.

It's so awful. To think about the various ways peoples were discriminated against. And I don't hold my own country above reproach, given China. And Korea. And the Ainu.

I'd love to see it, someday. Perhaps...if all ends well, Sorata and I can honeymoon there. And you can meet us there as I think he'd like it, too. He's fascinated by almost everything he runs across, particularly places outside of Mt. Kouya.

There's a lot of it. I thought it would've gotten better in modern times, but that's wishful thinking, isn't it? Anyway, that's just what I meant. Jim and I are both children of immigrants.

I hope you get to see it with him. I'd offer to show you around but I don't know anything about what it looks like now.

I'll call Tony for you. He's lived there a long time.

And Sorata and I....I would assume that we were of some kind of mystical breeding to bring forth the most powerful Shinto shrine maiden and the most powerful Tantric Buddhist Priest imaginable. We were planned, not born. Not even me, where it all seemed to be coincidence. There are no coincidences.

I would like for us to discover it with you?

He is the one who had the house in Malibu? I think of Malibu and all I can think after it is Barbie.

Well, then it must not be a coincidence that we met.

He's not much of a barbie, and he actually lost the house in Malibu, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind figuring something out for the two of you.

You probably don't want either of us to physically accompany you on your honeymoon. But I could, if you do.

I would like to think you're right.

[and she laughs softly at the description] I hope so? I think Sorata would enjoy himself, getting to see America. For most of his life, he spent it training to be a monk. And neither one of us went to school, we had too much to study about our respective faiths and our roles in the defense of humanity.

No, not physically of course. But moral support would be nice.
