can you get stds from a different species?

Certain infections are transmissible between humans and animals, but others aren't. I don't know for sure whether the known STIs would be or not. (I know sapient species aren't the same as animals but I don't really have a lot of other expirience to go off of.)

I do at least know that people of different species can procreate. I'm living proof of that.
