Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

Check out the bottom of this post for important dates to keep an eye on!

Mod Help Needed

We are in desperate need of some mod helpers! We need someone to help take over Activity Check and the Spoons page. Both of these are relatively straightforward tasks!

Activity Check requires you to respond accordingly to all players and make an updated post about who needs to respond still/who has been swept through AC or drops.

Spoons merely require you to make sure counts generally look right and that any purchases are approved.

We would also appreciate any help on App Reading anyone would be willing to give. Thank you!

If you are interested in any of the above, please shoot us a DM on our mod account on Dreamwidth with your name, contact information, and what you are able to help with.

Announcements

All prompts and events from July and August will end September 1st. Camp Camelot will vanish into thin air. If you happen to be at the camp or in the cabins at this time, they will merely vanish into golden dust around you. Any items won/gained during Camp Camelot will be on your character's person or at their home.

The floods from August will have mostly dried up within the first week of September although it will still be a bit muddy!

UPDATE AS OF 08/26/2022

Hello! Please refer to our Mod Announcement for new information regarding the upcoming Application/Reserves section!

All players are permitted two invites that will expire November 11th. This means all invites on this page are good for October and November cycles.

Applications/Reserves will be suspended until October 1st. Check-In will be optional for August.

Additionally, we are thrilled at the response for mod help and hope to get back to applicants ASAP! Thank you all for your understanding!

Invitations

Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.

Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Invites allow new players to reserve/apply to the game. Invites do not guarantee that new players will get in. Some invites may not be accepted and we will message players on a case-by-case basis if necessary.

Players only require an invite for their first application. Once they are a player in the game, they can apply as more characters at a later date. If a player drops completely from the game, they will require a new invite to get back in.

It's okay, time gets away from all of us! And oh my God, Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening are amazing! DA2 has a certain weird charm even though you're constantly fighting off one group of bandits only for another wave to quite literally fall out of the sky. As for Inquisition...I have my opinions. Most of them loud and annoyed. 😅

All of that sounds wonderful! Do you want to do something with the memory shares or would you rather start fresh with September coming rapidly? Either way works for me! (and yes, please, give Tinya all of the family, her mother is awful)

I am yet again replying belatedly, but thank you for being patient!

lmao, that seems to be the general consensus I've heard from other people who've played the Dragon Age games, too. Bandits dropping out of the sky just reminds me of Final Fantasy 15 with the enemy soldiers jumping out of airships.

Starting fresh in September might be for the best! I'm excited for whatever the monthly event is going to be, despite my slowness on all fronts.

And yeah, I love Dragon Age, but its fandom is probably the most toxic I've ever encountered. So I chill in my own corner and play whom and how I want to play!

That works for me, I'm excited for September, too! Not just because it's my RL favorite month of the year.

Oh, gross :( Toxic fandoms are why I also chill in my own corner because I've been there, done that, and dealing with toxic people is no bueno.

Now I'm thinking about Halloween, because October's my favorite month of the year and I hope there'll be a Halloween event 👀

Yeahhhh. Dragon Age creators are like "hey, let's parallel all of these real-world situations and prejudices in a fantasy setting," then go all surprised Pikachu when its fans get overinvested. Now, pretty much the only thing they've done for DA4 is announce its title.

Oooh yes. Joss Whedon can go to Hell, but I love that Buffy episode where people turned into their costumes!
