Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

Check out the bottom of this post for important dates to keep an eye on!

Mod Help Needed

We are in desperate need of some mod helpers! We need someone to help take over Activity Check and the Spoons page. Both of these are relatively straightforward tasks!

Activity Check requires you to respond accordingly to all players and make an updated post about who needs to respond still/who has been swept through AC or drops.

Spoons merely require you to make sure counts generally look right and that any purchases are approved.

We would also appreciate any help on App Reading anyone would be willing to give. Thank you!

Announcements

All prompts and events from July and August will end September 1st. Camp Camelot will vanish into thin air. If you happen to be at the camp or in the cabins at this time, they will merely vanish into golden dust around you. Any items won/gained during Camp Camelot will be on your character's person or at their home.

The floods from August will have mostly dried up within the first week of September although it will still be a bit muddy!

UPDATE AS OF 08/26/2022

Hello! Please refer to our Mod Announcement for new information regarding the upcoming Application/Reserves section!

All players are permitted two invites that will expire November 11th. This means all invites on this page are good for October and November cycles.

Applications/Reserves will be suspended until October 1st. Check-In will be optional for August.

Additionally, we are thrilled at the response for mod help and hope to get back to applicants ASAP! Thank you all for your understanding!

Invitations

Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.

Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Invites allow new players to reserve/apply to the game. Invites do not guarantee that new players will get in. Some invites may not be accepted and we will message players on a case-by-case basis if necessary.

Players only require an invite for their first application. Once they are a player in the game, they can apply as more characters at a later date. If a player drops completely from the game, they will require a new invite to get back in.

Permissions: here And I can't emphasize enough, no harm to cats. Of any kind. Watching a playthrough of Stray nearly broke me thanks to those fucking Zurks and That Area.

Character Name: Mariane Cousland
Character Age: 17
Characer Species: Dragon Age human
Character Details: Mariane is a Grey Warden. Granted, she's not expecting to find Darkspawn here (please send Darkspawn here), she's very soft-spoken and doesn't give the impression of a grand hero or a future queen at all. Her stare is very intense and can be unnerving. Also, it's "Mary Anne," not "Marian."
Character Summary: Mariane has had a rough year. However, she's engaged to marry the love of her life, King Alistair Theirin and was getting ready to take her place as his queen and co-ruler. She loves (and misses) Alistair to perhaps an unhealthy degree.

She's also chronically depressed, but doesn't know how to ask for help with it because in Ferelden, there was no help. One simply soldiered through it, which Mariane has done as much as she can. She didn't have a choice for a very long time.

Character Role: Legend.
Character Role Deets: Her halo manifests as a silver, sapphire, and diamond as shown here. She also tends to wear the clothes of a lady, not a soldier, even though she's keeping her skills sharp (literally, as she dual wields a sword and dagger).
Character Living Quarters: the cottages. I haven't specified a certain one yet, oops?
Character Schools: Agrona Academy
Day to Day Life: Training, training, training. Praying, praying, praying that Alistair arrives. Struggling with her depression and a general feeling of being alone.

Current Mindset/Health: Nnnnnnot the greatest. See also: depression and prayers for Alistair.
Recent Developments: Hmm. She needs to be more social and she definitely needs someone to draw her out of her shell. Her mental illness and PTSD from her experiences with her family and as a Grey Warden are threatening to reach critical mass.
Goals For Your Character: One word: friends. She needs them desperately. I may do an anon post for her basically asking to talk to people.
Problems With Your Character: Hoo boy. Where do I begin? I guess it's mostly been covered by the above?

Wanted CR: Friends, family?
Unwanted CR: I'd prefer no negative CR for the sake of negative CR. It's just not fun to play.
