July 2022 Trial Plotting Post
Trial 3 Plotting Post
Welcome to Camp Camelot! A unique experience that will take up the span of July and August. This is an optional experience characters will be influenced to partake in. You can read about our static Camp Camelot information HERE!.
July and August Trials will be accessible all summer long - meaning July's prompts will be applicable into August! All Camp Camelot shenanigans will come to an end on September 1st.
This is our plotting post for this month's event! This plotting page will not include any generic mingle introductions found on the live event. If you have questions about the trial, let us know down below!
If you want to be added to the Damsels for this current event cycle, please sign up by July 13th.
Feel free to use the following form for your plotting!
Content Warnings: Forced memory shares, forced honesty, forced emotions to varying degrees, forced brief inability to move.
There are plenty of fun activities to do at Camp Camelot throughout the summer! Although everyone is divided into color-coordinated cabins, there is still an emphasis on community-building exercises. Learning to work with your opponents is just as important as maintaining your close, interpersonal relationships after all! And it looks like the name of the game this month is Vulnerability. You might hear Amrita saying that from time to time but it's not like she can force anyone to be vulnerable...Right?
Nah! There's a Trust Fall Jinx going around that may randomly render people incapable of standing upright when they are near another person. This will cause someone to fall and hopefully the other person will move to catch them! Or...Just watch them fall...Or maybe you both get jinxed at the exact same time and wind up falling down together. This may cause a few bumps and bruises, but people might be more startled by the sudden inability to move their legs. In order to regain proper control over their bodies, they will have to be truthful over at least one thing. This can be a minor or major truth!
One of the activities going on is Enchanted Body Painting. You can find bowls filled with every kind of color surrounding the picnic tables. Paintbrushes are available as well but you can always use your fingers. The body painting can be as simple as putting a smiley face on someone's face or something more sensual in the privacy of the woods, painting each other's bodies. The paint causes a pleasant state of mind and a sense of genuine vulnerability, will allow people's walls to come down, and allow for an easier flow of conversation. The idea is to paint each other. There is an increased feeling of euphoria and relief during this experience and you will feel extremely safe with whoever is painting on you. The paint will last for a few days unless it is vigorously rubbed off.
Hunker down at the end of the day around the firepits and enjoy some smores. The smores will open up a willingness to those sitting around the same fire as you. The smell of the fire and the smoke will also encourage those around to become more open to Sharing Stories of their past - regardless of the story or how sensitive it may be. It doesn't seem like you have too much control over which memories you wind up sharing. But more than that...An image of the memory will begin to appear over the fire in the smoke, similar to that of a movie. If someone is sitting by the fire by themselves, their memories may still be playing in the smoke of the fire to witness from afar. Hopefully, nothing too concerning will show up...!

Content Warnings: "Clean Up!" contains being consumed by sludge monster, possible death through suffocation/drowning, themes of pollution, possible immolation, increased negative emotions.
"Keep Away" involve carnivorous tentacle monsters so themes (if chosen) may involve being eaten/torn apart for those who go a more violent route. Tentacles, being hunted, being kidnapped. Possible injury/death by crushing, pulling, teeth, claws, general monster violence.
"Prometheus" involve carnivorous eagles so themes (if chosen) may involve being eaten/torn apart for those interested in more violence. Themes of being chained/tied down, kidnapping, potential death of animal-like monster, and general monster violence. Possible death/injury via starvation, dehydration, and exposure.
Thirteen has created a few unique summer games that will span between July and August. These games are intended to test character skills and provide them with unique prizes should they achieve their goals. It's time to reach your potential, Folkies!
Or, at the very least, have some good old-fashioned competitive fun! And don't worry - these games will aim to test various abilities. It isn't just fit, athletic sorts who will have an advantage.
CLEAN UP!
One of the most important lessons you can learn is to keep your world clean! Cabins will be allotted color-coordinated baskets they can slip onto their backs and Amrita says that the colors who can collect the most garbage will win a prize! Take to the woods with a little spear and get to work! All in good fun but wow...Something smells really bad. You keep catching whiffs of it every now and then and...Surely there isn't a spill somewhere? Unfortunately, there seems to be some wretched smelling guck spilled in small puddles here and there. The immediate plantlife surrounding the guck has already died which means you really need to clean this up!
When you reach out to attempt dealing with it, the guck suddenly reaches back! Tendrils of filth plaster to the nearest body parts! If you're quick about it, it might just be a bit of a scare, but for most people, the tendrils will be quick to wrap fully around you. It will pull you down to the puddle and wrap around your entire body, consuming you whole. The guck will bubble up around you - but somehow, you will still be able to breathe, still, be aware...You just won't really be able to do anything. You also won't be able to use any abilities except any potential telepathic abilities or connections you may have.
A filth monster builds up around your body and you lose complete control of yourself. You can still use your senses. See what the monster is seeing, hear what the monster is hearing, feel...But you have no control of the monster as it rushes through the woods, destroying plant life, attacking other campers...The only giveaway of these monsters is the fact that they will have the exact same eyes as whoever they have consumed, and that their "noises" will sound like a person's distorted voice.
Anyone who uses fire against these monsters will kill the monster but also the person trapped inside. Attacking it will make it highly aggressive and defensive. Any other attempts at hurting or killing the monster will be futile. Weapons get stuck in the gunk, and other powers just kind of fizzle out when they come into contact with the filth. The air is pungent with the odor, making it hard to breathe and even hard to see.
Some people may notice that the monsters do not look angry...They look anguished. They look sad and in pain. Maybe attacking them isn't the right approach? Gently approach the monster, and tell them you just want to help them feel better. Get them to the Lakes or a clean water source and just...Clean them up! The monsters will relax, moaning quietly. The kinder you are, the more patient you are, the more the gunk will slough off, and as it does, it vanishes into thin air.
Flowers will begin to bloom around you, and soon, you will clean away the monster until the trapped person remains, vulnerable, trembling, weakened, but safe. The trapped person will find two Hardened Spirit Balls in the palm of each hand. The intention is for them to give their savior(s) one of the balls, but of course, they aren't obligated. It is said that the Hardened Spirit Balls can bring someone back from the brink of madness or soothe a wild soul. Might be good to keep around!
As for those who win any sort of prize from Amrita herself, the savior will get a golden Feather Duster! This seems really lame until you realize that the Feather Duster clears away bad spirits and can make your home feel safe and comfortable.
For those who don't save these poor souls in time...The person within the sludge monster will slowly begin to drown. It's not a pleasant way to go and many may not even realize you have gone at all.
KEEP AWAY
A simple game of keep away is always fun! Only the stakes in this one are higher than normal. Amrita will manifest various items from your various canon worlds - only miniature and in little floating cubes. These items will be cast over the heads of various characters and they will be filled with an irresistible urge to, well, keep away! Other characters might recognize items from their own home worlds and naturally want to chase after them, but some characters might just see a cool sword and think huh! Might be useful to have! Either way? Characters will be enchanted with the urge to chase if they don't have any personal reason to.
This can be a fun way for characters to gain items from home or other canons! Anything is on the table - just be sure to be respectful of other players, and their canons, and never get anything that could work in a way that would break the setting! The idea is that characters need to play an extreme game of tag and basically, the moment your character makes physical contact with another character, they "gain" the item. The item will physically manifest and it will belong to the character who got it! Of course...This game of keep-away can go back and forth for as long as you like. Some characters get knocked out or killed in the most extreme case scenario but surely that won't happen here...!
This is the soft version of Keep Away.
The hard version of Keep Away...However...
Sorry, Damsels, but it's your time to shine! Horrific tentacle monsters are sent throughout the area to snatch up Damsels.
You can witness/find Damsels Dean Winchester, Sollux Captor, Mary Bennet, Izuku Midoriya, and Eleanor (GP) being snatched up near the edges of camp. They may be quicker to save...If people are paying attention and are quick to act.
The following Damsels are taken while walking about in the woods or around the Lakes: Bella Swan, Choso, Steve Rogers (MCU), Wei Wuxian, Mai (ATLA), Eren Jaeger, and Sophie Groeneveldt. This might be a good incentive to start up some patrols around the woods to make sure everyone is accounted for...
The moment they wrap them up in their tentacles, the characters are depowered and vulnerable to the monster. These monsters can range from human-sized to the size of the trees in the surrounding areas. Some of them seem to be playing an aggressive form of keep away but most of these monsters mean business. Some monsters may immediately try to eat their Damsels while others will take their time and pull their prey off into the woods to do heavens knows what!
The tentacles can lash out and break bones, solid rock, and trees, and seem impervious to steel. These monsters are vulnerable to light and extreme strength as well as other means of viable attack. You might just want to go out of your way and save them before it's too late!
Some of the monsters are tamer and will give up a Damsel if they have been "cornered" by characters. Not all of them are violent, and not all of them intend to kill or maim, but it's impossible to tell which ones are harmless and which ones aren't, so it's best to assume the worst is possible.
Those who save a Damsel from these monsters will find a Fried Tentacle on their pillow when they get back to camp. This can only be consumed once, but once it is, it will make you completely impervious to any damage for up to 6 Hours. You may also be granted temporary tentacle-appendages sprouting from...places! If you want. This tentacle is actually a delicious treat and can be traded to local NPCs for 100 Spoons. To cash this in on the Spoons page, merely link to the thread where the character has saved someone from the tentacle monster. This will be in addition to whatever amount of spoons you gained from said thread.
PROMETHEUS
This doesn't seem like a game, but well...It is! Kind of! If you squint and act like it's a game! Damsels will be taken out into the various Lakes by giant eagles and chained up against massive rocks jutting out of the middle of the water.
The following Damsels will fall into a strange trance and wander out towards the Lakes to be carried away by eagles, not to remember what happened. They will simply wake up chained to a rock with no recollection of how they got there: Dirk Strider, Nico Di Angelo, Tinya Wazzo, and G'raha Tia/The Crystal Exarch.
Eagles will snatch the following Damsels right off the ground: Tony Stark (E.M.H), John Egbert, Yuri Lowell, Katsuki Bakugou.
You may be able to save a Damsel getting snatched at this time if you can bring one of those eagles down, but the eagles are as sturdy as dragons and will require some serious firepower or insight to bring down. Eagles may flock together to protect one another but you will never have to fight more than four at a time. Those who can control animals can sway the eagles. Eagles may knock out characters who are fighting back too much.
Once the Damsel has been chained to the rock, they will be sapped of all powers. For some Damsels, their clothes may also be mysteriously torn and replaced with barely enough to cover their essentials...If that! The heat and sun exposure is brutal but so are dehydration and starvation. This can be a slow way to go...But it might be preferred to the alternative. Deeply unfortunate Damsels may be eaten alive by the eagles pecking away at their bodies. They go for the soft bits first...
Some Damsels will be hanging by their arms or tied up and dangling from the edge of a clifflike rock, swaying back and forth over the water. People will have to take the canoes out to save them or maybe they have the ability of flight or other useful powers to aid them in their savior quest! Be careful though...The Lakes seem to have an infestation of extremely hungry piranha lurking in the waters just below the Damsels. Wouldn't want that to be an issue. Thankfully the piranha are completely uninterested in non-blood material, so your boats and anything like that will be left alone!
Some lucky Damsels by simply be tied up near the shorelines and are easy to spot, and easier to save. Still probably won't help the trauma of getting chained to rocks though! There are a lot of ways this could go bad...How is this a summer game again?
Right! If you manage to save a Damsel, the savior will gain a Black Eagle Talon that will appear on your pillow when you return to camp. When wearing this talon on your person, it will amplify your tolerance towards pain, increase bravery, and drastically increase vision.
"Keep Away" involve carnivorous tentacle monsters so themes (if chosen) may involve being eaten/torn apart for those who go a more violent route. Tentacles, being hunted, being kidnapped. Possible injury/death by crushing, pulling, teeth, claws, general monster violence.

Content Warnings: Forced deception, themes of murder, Slasher horror movie tropes, kidnapping, possible forced violence, lying, themes of possession. This prompt is not isolated to Camp Camelot. This can occur all throughout Folkmore. However, those at Camp Camelot will be especially vulnerable to this prompt.
Damsels have been placed in various precarious situations through a Fox Imposter - this Fox Imposter can be an agreed upon character player or a random NPC.
Amrita tells the camp of a story about The Fox Among Us otherwise known as the Fox Imposter. This Fox Imposter is known to terrorize Folkmore during the summer, wearing an eerie fox mask stitched together with mismatching materials and carrying a rusted knife. The Fox Imposter will blend seamlessly into your friends, into familiar faces, getting to know you, replicating someone you know, before they fall upon you when you least expect it.
"Can you really trust the people you know? Beware of the Fox Among Us."
This is, of course, just a fable! Or is it? Some may discover this Fox Imposter stalking the woods and streets of Folkmore at night, appearing out of the dark, standing in the middle of the crowds. Blink and you may miss them. But don't take it lightly. The Fox Imposter is dangerous. They kill people in a manner of ways you would see in any slasher film and leave their mangled bodies as a threat to others. But who is the Fox Imposter?
It's you, of course!
Only, it isn't really you. Anyone is suspectable to becoming the Fox Imposter. One day you will be minding your own business when you fall into a strange trance and suddenly, in your mind, you realize you are the Fox Imposter. You can't help the urge but to become a more nefarious, evil version of yourself, even if you remain unassuming on the surface. But as the days go by, you become darker, and darker, eventually finding the Fox mask in a random location, putting it on, and terrorizing Folkmore.
You might just scare people or play pranks, but many Fox Imposters quickly turns to murder and kidnapping and the likes. Many will shed the mask by day and play innocent to others. Those enchanted by the Fox Imposter become gleeful and manipulative. And they are the ones who come to realize what's actually going on. There's an apparent evil spirit in Folkmore known as the Fox Imposter who takes over the bodies of people to persuade them to do its evil deeds for it. The Fox Imposter cannot really be killed or vanquished because the Fox Imposter is...a story. You can't kill a story.
However, you can remove the mask. If you're in a situation where you're facing off against a Fox Imposter, removing the mask will snap the person out of their trance. Of course, most people won't think to do that when they're about to be murdered...Killing a Fox Imposter will also expel the spirit from their bodies. Alternatively, if characters get smart about the situation, they could always resort to exorcisms and the like...But that would also involve first detecting the Fox Imposter among them. Those sensitive to spiritual natures and abilities will be able to more easily pick up on this!
Stories of the Fox Imposter will be shared by Amrita at campfires at Camp Camelot, but characters can always transmit this information to one another on relics to try and prepare themselves against the Fox Imposter.
A Fox Imposter can always be an NPC if players would like to simply put their characters in the situation without committing to find another player willing to play the Fox Imposter.
The following Damsels will find themselves taken in their sleep or while they under some mysterious trance: Mariane Cousland, Ken Kaneki, Reko Yabusame, and Lan Bo. When they awaken, it will be in a very sketchy-looking cellar of some abandoned house or a cage hanging from one of the many trees of Folkmore. And there are many. Characters may find themselves bound and gagged or allowed to move about freely, a bit roughed up. They may or may not have their Relics on them - Player's choice!
The following Damsels will find themselves being stalked for some time until eventually they are confronted with the Fox Imposter: Arashi Kishuu, Caleb Widogast, Judith, Gwenhwyfar, Asahi Yuki, and Minato Arisato. These characters may be outright attacked on the spot with blunt objects. They may have a higher chance of being saved by someone nearby though seeing as many will be attacked in somewhat public areas.
