Announcements and Feedback

Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

Announcements
We will be holding bi-monthly Texts From Last Night posts on our OOC community. Both players and non-players are welcome to tag into this. Players can use these posts for their spoons and tentative new players can use these posts for samples on their applications. If accepted into the game, you can also use your TFLN posts for spoons!

The upcoming event for July will have an element that will extend between July and August. This will involve characters feeling heavily pressured to gravitate to a unique location known as Camp Camelot located nearby the Lakes in Willow.

This location will not be accessible until the event begins. Characters will be able to go to and from the camp at will but most will feel enormously pressured by the general state of the game to actively attend the camp either as campers or counselors! Most of July and August's events will have to do with the camp, but fear not! There will still be prompts available in both July and August for those who might want to do things beyond the camp.

From July 1st to July 12th, characters throughout Folkmore will be gifted a fox beret with a matching orange Camp Camelot shirt, a pair of orange shorts, an optional clip-on orange fox tail, and some nifty knee-high white socks with orange bands at the top. You will be provided with a set of orange hiking boots that, instead of ridges on the feet, have paw prints. These outfits will appear in a neat pile somewhere in your character's home and will be custom fit to their exact measurements and body types!

Invitations

Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.

Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Invites allow new players to reserve/apply to the game. Invites do not guarantee that new players will get in. Some invites may not be accepted and we will message players on a case-by-case basis if necessary.

Players only require an invite for their first application. Once they are a player in the game, they can apply as more characters at a later date. If a player drops completely from the game, they will require a new invite to get back in.

Dee Reynolds || It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Character Name: Deandra "Dee" Reynolds
Character Age: 44 (but she'll tell you she's 30)
Characer Species: Some kind of giant bird
Character Details: Dee is a tall, thin woman, standing at about 5'8, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Character Summary: Dee is a deeply insecure, narcissistic woman with anger issues and a hair-trigger temper. She tends to react to perceived slights in ways that are much worse than whatever offended her in the first place. She desperately wants to be accepted and liked by people, but her abrasive personality, lack of empathy, and tendency to self-sabotage all make that very difficult for her.

Character Role: Myth
Character Role Deets: Dee has these ridiculous bull horns because I thought it'd be funny for her to have to side-step through doorways. She has claws, fangs, and a gold, serpent-like tail that she uses to hold extra bottles of beer!
Character Living Quarters: She has an apartment in Satori Hills. I know this was a missed opportunity to have the giant bird live in a treehouse in Leshy, but she prefers modern homes.
Character Schools: N/A
Day to Day Life: Honestly, I think she's just getting used to the place. She's still finding her footing.

Current Mindset/Health: She's okay! She misses the Gang but this also feels like a huge break after the disaster that was Ireland, and she secretly loves it.
Recent Developments: None at all. I've fallen behind with her tags here and hope to get to them this weekend!
Goals For Your Character: I really just want to explore who she is when she's away from the Gang. She has potential to grow, even though she's a deeply toxic person, and I want to play with that.
Problems With Your Character: She's doing okay, surprisingly!

Wanted CR: I'm down for anything and everything right now. It's much easier to get negative CR with Dee, but I'm open to positive. I lowkey want a found family for her hjhjk

I have no idea how this would go but I would love to throw her and Yuri together and see what happens. I can see him thinking she's funny which from your description of her she may love or hate.

Yeah, that sounds great! I'm up for that. She can be a bit unpredictable. She usually enjoys being seen as funny, but it all depends on the circumstances.
