Hello Folkies! This is our monthly Story of Us post where we get together to make game announcements, ask for any feedback or suggestions, partake in character relationship memes and open up our invites for the upcoming application cycle!

Announcements
We will be holding bi-monthly Texts From Last Night posts on our OOC community. Both players and non-players are welcome to tag into this. Players can use these posts for their spoons and tentative new players can use these posts for samples on their applications. If accepted into the game, you can also use your TFLN posts for spoons!
The upcoming event for July will have an element that will extend between July and August. This will involve characters feeling heavily pressured to gravitate to a unique location known as Camp Camelot located nearby the Lakes in Willow.
This location will not be accessible until the event begins. Characters will be able to go to and from the camp at will but most will feel enormously pressured by the general state of the game to actively attend the camp either as campers or counselors! Most of July and August's events will have to do with the camp, but fear not! There will still be prompts available in both July and August for those who might want to do things beyond the camp.
From July 1st to July 12th, characters throughout Folkmore will be gifted a fox beret with a matching orange Camp Camelot shirt, a pair of orange shorts, an optional clip-on orange fox tail, and some nifty knee-high white socks with orange bands at the top. You will be provided with a set of orange hiking boots that, instead of ridges on the feet, have paw prints. These outfits will appear in a neat pile somewhere in your character's home and will be custom fit to their exact measurements and body types!

Invitations
Our game is invite-only which means in order to make a reserve or apply, you must have an invite from a current player in-game! Players are not required to give invites. Invites are open between the 22nd of every month and close on the 5th of the following month when applications open. All invites expire after that application cycle ends.
Players are limited to one invite per round unless they have purchased an additional invite slot through Spoons. If using an additional invite slot, please make sure to link to your purchase in your invite form.

Character Name: Natsume Takashi
Character Age: 17 (on July 1st, happy birthday buddy)
Characer Species: Human*
Character Details: In Folkmore being a Familiar has given him cat ears, a tail and claws. Outside of that, anyone who can sense spiritual/supernatural abilities would be able to see that he's not a normal guy. Anyone who can't would be like "haha short."
Character Summary: Natsume's canon is a slice-of-life anime set in rural Japan in the early 2000s, following his hijinks with the spirits/creatures of the forest and fields and mountains that only he can see. It's both adorable and devastatingly sad.
Character Role: Familiar!
Character Role Deets: Right now Natsume has just been adjusting to the physical changes (see above re: cat ears), but his natural compassion plus the role has been pushing him to be more of an emotional support to people he meets.
Character Living Quarters: Lapine, in one of the hobbit holes.
Character Schools: Nowhere yet, but I want him to end up in magic school.
Day to Day Life: Natsume takes a lot of walks through the woods around the Lakes, and either sits in trees or reads under them. He's fairly introverted and shy, but he'll be very polite to anyone who passes. Loner woodland spirit vibes, u see.
Current Mindset/Health: Somewhere between the "this is fine" dog meme and actually fine? He had a good time (mostly) during the last event, though he sprained his wrist falling off a cliff (lol). He's also trying to sort out lots of Emotional Feelings right now.
Recent Developments: Despite firmly resisting getting attached to Folkmore or anyone in it, Natsume has, in fact, made several close friends who he already cares deeply about. In light of that, he's trying to recreate some protective wards he was taught in his world, to keep these specific people safe. Hence eventual magic school! He also has two crushes and it's driving him insane.
Goals For Your Character: Talk about your emotions and abandonment issues, Natsume!!! It's not that hard!!! Also kiss someone without magic lightning or drinks involved!!!!
Problems With Your Character: Chronic feelings of unworthiness and the belief that he causes/creates misery is really what's keeping him at arms length from others, despite wanting to care for and protect them. It's gonna be a Process unpacking that.
Wanted CR: FRIENDS good god this kid needs friends. Here for paternal/mentor types too, because he thinks he's extremely self-sufficient and capable but he is Not. Also people who can lovingly irritate him is always a plus.
Unwanted CR: Long-term romantic CR is in the works, even though it's a slow burn and he has no idea~~~
