June 2022 Trial Plotting Post
Trial 2 Plotting Post
Welcome to our plotting post for this month's event! This plotting page will not include any generic mingle introductions found on the live event. If you have questions about the trial, let us know down below!
Feel free to use the following form for your plotting!
Content Warnings: Themes regarding sexuality and gender identity and coming out. Optional mild themes of homophobia/transphobia (non-explicit in prompt - but history of queerness is an option to explore).
Follow the rainbow. No, really. This month is filled with an abundance of clear rainbows in the sky that lead directly to the hearts of Epiphany and Willow. There you will find that the streets are lined with rainbow decorations. Multicolored confetti falls throughout the streets, dissolving after 24 hours. There seems to be good cheer from various NPCs. Golems stand about holding pride flags to hand out to anyone who wishes to hold them. Unfortunately, golems can't really talk so they can't explain what the various flags mean, but maybe someone around you can?
Agrona has taken to the streets with glimmering outfits and a jubilant personality. She's readily available to teach people what exactly pride is, what the various flags are, and why it's so important to celebrate the month. "You really want to be the best version of yourself? First you gotta understand yourself or maybe you just need to be a good friend to the people in your life."
Anyone being a bit of a jerk about the pride might get Agrona shoving her way into their face. Anyone violent will be met with Agrona's one-punch finale. Ain't got no time for discrimination in these parts!
Colorful parades float through the streets from time to time celebrating various aspects of queer life. A parade filled with lavender flowers, parades where men in leather are decked out, drag queens strolling about and offering to do people's make-up. If you're shy, you'll be welcomed here! People might help dress you up to fit the themes or at the very least invite you to a good time.
It's a wonderful way to meet new people. There are plenty of food trucks giving out treats at all hours of the parade - some are themed colorfully while others are just yummy like fried dough and poutine. There are some more somber floats to honor victims of various hate crimes throughout the universes, embellishing on the harder history of queerness throughout time and space. Sometimes it can be a bit sad to see, but for those with an interest in history, it may serve as a valuable lesson.
There are float stations where you can join a float or make your own and pilot it between Epiphany and Willow. A rainbow track seems to be temporarily laid between the two towns throughout June and it radiates light throughout the night. In the evening, expect fireworks to fill the skies and sparklers to be handed out.
Characters will be encouraged to participate in the parades or generally contribute to the atmosphere of June. They will be implored to share their own stories or experiences through Foxi or on temporary public stages where they can talk to audiences about what they have gone through. For those uninterested in coming out, you can also use this time to just showcase some talents like playing some music on the stage or performing elaborate dance routines! Pride is a celebration of life and love and perseverance! So celebrate it!
One of the most notable features for the parade is the Love Tree. This is a unique tree that has sprouted out of the earth between Epiphany and Willow, massive, white, with rainbow-colored leaves. Thirteen sits in her fox form beside the tree and tells those that come by it: "If you carve the name of your loved one on this tree, I will bless them with temporary protection. If you carve your initials together, I will enhance the chemistry between you two for a short time."
You may see your own initals carved by others on this tree or be completely oblivious. Carvings can be for platonic, romantic, or familial connections. This tree will go back into the earth at the end of June.

Content Warnings: Alcohol/substance use, altered personalities and physical bodies including possible gender swaps, magical drinks, optional NSFW prompts, forced costume changes.
In the evening you can follow some of these light rainbow paths into Cruel Summer where you will discover a vibrant nightlife partying it up in the desert. Of course, if you're uninterested in following that path, Thirteen might just figure you need a tiny little push! This means you might be minding your own business when a small golden portal opens up under you and sends you right into the heart of Cruel Summer. During this teleportation, you might go through a bit of a Cinderella effect and have your clothes altered into a flamboyant, expressive, revealing, and/or campy outfit you might not typically pick for yourself! Including some fun modifications to your hair and make-up!
The teleportation will also make you feel more open to unusual experiences and the desert sure...is an experience! What looks like a carnival made out of candy has sprouted up in the middle of the desert, complete with frothy-looking rollercoasters, a Ferris wheel that looks like a giant lollypop, a tunnel of love made out of hot chocolate, and marshmallow boats. There are booths where you can win extremely cute stuffed animals of surprisingly high quality. One of Thirteen's friends is at the helm of the project: a feline-like entity who seems to enjoy putting people in cute outfits and decorating her immediate surroundings in food-themes. Meet Six! You can see
Six and Thirteen prancing around the carnival and having fun on rides. If you're feeling shy, the two entities might smooch your cheeks and give you a boost of confidence that will make you feel more open and charismatic.
There is a glowing booth that sells various rainbow-colored drinks - provided by a suspiciously handsome feline humanoid merchant. He gives you a wide grin and tells you to have fun and bottoms up! Your night will change after taking one of these rainbow shots. But each color provides a different transformative experience:
All drink effects last 6-24 hours. If you know where to look, you may also find some traditional alcohol and drugs being passed around at different booths. There don't seem to be any real laws that uphold the public sale of these, so you won't get busted if you decide to do some drinking or pop an ecstasy tablet.
There is a dance floor where Six and Thirteen gather together to put on some exciting performances. When they aren't performing, there is a DJ booth set up that plays itself to fit the mood of the crowd and alternatively, characters can step up and DJ for a while! Just make sure you're halfway decent or you might get some annoyed dancers on your hand!
Have some fun! And make sure you stop by the greasy burger booth towards the front of the carnival for Hangover Hamburgers that guarantee you won't feel shitty in the morning! This place really is magical. There is also an abundance of ice cream that won't melt no matter how long you hold it. It's a delight that will instantly make you feel energized and refreshed!

Your night will change after taking one of these rainbow shots. But each color provides a different transformative experience:
RED: A cherry-flavored drink will make you instantly intoxicated even if you typically can resist the feelings of intoxication/highness. More of this drink can cause a deeper sense of intoxication. However, one cannot be poisoned to death by this drink. You might just do a lot of really wild things.
ORANGE: An orange-flavored drink that will grant you a temporary ability to pick up on secrets of other characters you interact with whether through a natural realization or reading their minds or picking up on certain vibes. Please make sure to use player permission!
YELLOW: A lemonade-flavored drink that will enhance your natural cravings and desires. If you're a sweet tooth, you might have the insatiable urge to eat all the sweets you can get your hands on. If you're kinda crushing on someone, you might become obsessed with their attention. Everything you want is impossible to ignore now!
GREEN: A lime-apple flavored drink will give you a massive energy boost and throw you into a bit of a frenzied, excitable state where you're willing to do anything and everything! You also will feel like you could take on the world...But you won't exactly be immortal or anything so you might want to take it easy.
BLUE: A blueberry-flavored drink will make you agonizingly lonely and clingy and you will feel a gut-wrenching need to be with someone. While this can be platonic or familial, most people tend to experience an intense urge to have sexual experiences with other people or at the very least - romantic attention.
PURPLE: A grape-flavored drink will make you feel an odd bursting-sensation before your gender is swapped for another and your outfit will immediately correlate with that new identity. Alternatively, this drink may swap your species and transform you into other species fictional and otherwise!
PINK: A hyper-sour lemonade flavored-drink that will instantly make you feel like all your senses got punched at the same time. This drink will make you hyper-sensitive to sensory experiences, giving you something of an ectasy-like experience. This makes touching feel amazing, all food tastes amazing, and music makes you see colors and feel warm - it's just a great time. Until it isn't probably.

Content Warnings: Survival adventure themes, possible car crashes, chaotic/destructive surroundings. Forced reincarnation, increasingly painful deaths, possible memory loss, natural disasters.
"We're going on an adventure. I hope you're prepared," Amrita says to you. She appeared out of seemingly nowhere, standing next to you at the market or quite possibly sitting on the edge of your bed. She doesn't seem ruffled by your potential shock.
"Oh, do stop fretting. It's not like you'll be alone. You must learn to endure. If you think you will be able to survive Folkmore without some basic survival instincts, well..." She adjusts her hair and gives you a look, nose crinkling. "No, I don't believe you're that stupid to believe you could. Away we go!"
With a clap of her hands, the world around you changes. You're put into a classic adventuring outfit of some sort vaguely reminiscent of Amrita's own outfit, some version of Indiana Jones, Lara Croft, or the like. Amrita is standing in front of you in a hat, shouting to you over what looks like immediate destruction, debris of some falling apart plane shooting through the air or an avalanche down a mountain or an incoming sandstorm: "We always must persist no matter how futile the situation seems! Look!"
She points ahead and you see another person or perhaps a group of fellow PCs. Everyone's as confused as you are to be here.
"Your first lesson: survive. Good luck!" And with that, Amrita shrinks into a black fox form and darts ahead. If you had been hoping for a leisurely camping trip, you're dead wrong. This is more of a hectic situation in which you need to get out of there or just die immediately. Teleportation won't work for you here, but flight might help as long as you can avoid falling beacons of fire. This destruction quest is a bit like what you would expect from a climactic moment in an adventure video game. A natural disaster of some sort or the destruction of a building. The atmosphere may change depending on your personal preferences from a mountain to a jungle to a desert - the quest remains the same. Your character needs to use immediate wit and incredible prowess to survive.
There will be hundreds of ways to die and when you do, you'll just wake up and have to start it over again, but each death will be increasingly more painful and will gradually begin to impact your memory. If it gets too difficult or if you feel too lost, fear not! Other characters are around to help - but if they are just as hopeless as you are, Amrita herself will stay with you to teach you how to navigate the intense terrain.
There will be quiet moments between the epic ones, moments where you can catch your breath and take a moment. Camp and tend to injuries with supplies in the pack you have been granted by Amrita. You're not sure how long you need to survive for but you do feel an insatiable draw pulling you forward. When in doubt of where you need to go, Amrita will appear to lead you further, and no matter how frustrated or scared you might become, you must follow.
And when you finally reach your destination...It may take your breath away. Buried inside of a mountain or in the middle of the desert or in the heart of the forest- wherever it may be...Is a tomb dedicated...To you. And your companions. Statues of you, of how you see yourself, of the crucial parts of your life. Ancient and worn by time. You may also find ancient artifacts scattered throughout the tomb that you can obtain by approaching them or solving tomb-centric puzzles to get to them. These artifacts can be canon items from your character's home world including powerful relics. Characters may also find canonical pets or other unique animals in the setting such as Pokemon or other mythical animals. All items obtained in the tomb will appear with your character once they have awoken from the dream.
Amrita is sitting in the middle, staring around her in quiet respect until finally, she speaks up: "This is why you must survive. You...You're so important to this universe. That energy you carried here? Carry that with you everywhere. Celebrate yourself even when no one else will. Survive for yourself. Then you can survive anything."
She gets up, dusts herself off, and smiles. "I hope you'll do well at Camp Camelot next month."
You can explore the tomb for a bit and once you're finished, once you feel a bit at peace with yourself, the image will fade to gold and you'll appear wherever Amrita took you from. You're going to be sore for a while, but hopefully you made some friends along the way and learned a lesson or two! Now...Just what the heck is this Camp Camelot thing she mentioned? Do you even want to know...

(CW: underage/overage relationship, underage in general)
Player Pronouns: they/them
Player Contact:
Preferred Tag Style: I go every way. (seriously, I can match whomever I'm playing with with a sliiiiiight preference for prose)
Monthly Pacing: I'm slow, but steady. And I can make a thread last for months, if our characters bounce off of each other well. I do most of my tagging while at work (my boss is awesome!) and tend to take Sunday off to recharge.
OOC Limitations/Disinterests: Well, Tinya's too young (and let's face it, her boyfriends aren't here with her), Mariane's married and otherwise Not Interested in anyone who doesn't happen to be a cheese-loving dork of a king, Arashi's Not Interested in anyone who isn't destined to die for her, and Misty's ace! Well, grey neutral, but I don't feel comfortable in her getting busy with anyone without a ton of IC development first.
Character Name: Mariane Cousland, Misty Day, Arashi Kishuu, Tinya Wazzo
Character Role: Mariane and Tinya are both Legends, Misty is a Familiar, and Arashi is a Myth
Current Mindset/Health: Mariane misses Alistair a LOT and worries about how he's doing as king without her political acumen, Misty is curious about all systems of magic and how they work and/or are different than what she's used to, Arashi both misses Sorata and feels that it's for the best for her to far, far away from him in an attempt at fending off his destiny, and Tinya is still in a state of "OOOH, SHINY!"
Trial Accomplishments: Mariane, Tinya, and Arashi will all be very interested in the Love Tree in hopes that its protection can transcend worlds and keep their respective LIs in their worlds. (and LOL, they're straight. mostly) And Misty has no idea what Pride even is, so I'm hoping to get her to the realization that she's a grey neutral panromantic. Not necessarily interested in doing anything with it yet, but the idea that yes, she's perfectly fine the way she is would be great for her.
Trial Failures: Damsel the living daylights out of Tinya! And Mariane, too, if only because she'll be so very cross about it. Arashi will probably die a few times if only to reinforce the idea that Dying Sucks and she absolutely doesn't want Sorata to do that. Misty would love to play the rescuer instead of the rescuee.
Wanted CR: Friends! Found Family! Mentors! For all of them! And Arashi would like a steady food source, thanks!
Unwanted CR: Not open to negative CR that focuses on negativity, friendly bickering is fine, full scale hatred is not.
Open/Closed to New CR: Wide open, baby!
Timeline of Trials: I figure I'll have everything going on last about a week, maybe two depending on everyone else's plans.
