Check-in opens on the 1st at 12:01 AM EST.
Check-in closes on the 8th at 11:59 PM EST.
We do not require traditional "activity" check-ins, but we do require an interest check-in to ensure that our players are present and still engaged with the characters they play.
You will be required to check-in during the 1-8th of the month. If you cannot access a computer during this time, please let a mod or friend know so they can check-in for you.
You must check in your individual characters. If you fail to check in with any characters, they will be swept from the game.
If you missed check-in due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the mods ASAP and let them know the situation.
We ask our players to be active in the game even without formal activity check requirements. If we notice any concerning patterns with the same players missing check-ins and being swept from the game or being irresponsible with check-ins or squatting we will contact the player directly. This may include restrictions from reapplication into the game or actual activity requirements.
Please respect your fellow players and mods! We want to keep this game activity-requirement-free and active.
Anatomy Of Check-In
Every player will have an overall check-in comment with their name as the subject line. Every character a player writes will have a comment with their name and fandom as the subject line. Each month, players need to post a comment under each character's comment with the month and year in the subject line.

We do not want links to threads, OOC explanations, or apologies. Folkmore is a chill game, and it's completely fine to have not played much.
We welcome and encourage handwaving. Give us something your character did in the background or plans you have to back thread. Note handwaved interactions you discussed with other players. Many players use their check-in posts as records of important beats their characters experienced.
The bottom line is to show you have some OOC idea what is going on IC, even when you're not actively able to RP, to demonstrate your continued engagement in the game with the character.

Summarized Activity: Lex cooled down off his loss during the train event in January. After that, the wet and mugginess of his chosen home of Epiphany paired with the awkward feelings he had as a result of the truth meme meant he was laying low a lot of this month, doing mild interpersonal things.

- Lex had gotten more slack on his training over the course of this month due to the aforementioned indoors thing and thus, paired with the more lax lifestyle in Folkmore in general has begun to gain weight
- He was given a Valentines gift by Makoto at his door day of. Honestly, he doesn't know what to make out of this from a notably younger girl (and the chocolates therefore of aided in said minor weight gain)
- He put up a post at the end of the month on the network looking for forms of entertainment from other worlds out there
- I think offscreen (though I intend to tag into the tdm to do some of this for real) he's been tempted by that bar which has been popping up and will once he finally goes into it be at risk of being guilt absorbed
- The Truth Meme stuff I tagged a bunch into at the very end of January so there's a good shot some of those threads bled into the early part of the February in-universe, including but not limited to bearing his weaknesses out of several people and being made to feel very petty.
