Self Introduction: I'm Aeri, I am a human that's into makeup, fashion, goth culture stuff, music, and too many fandoms. (? is that a thing ?) My main fandom used to be ASOIAF, with some BtVS/AtS and other things knocking about in there (cough Old Gods of Appalachia cough). Then Arcane ate my life and Vi happened, and she made her way into Deer Country/Trench, which is where she's coming from in this iteration as a CRAU. I have cats. I love horror (folk, slasher, slow creeping dread almost all of it), the macabre, occult stuff, witchy stuff and absolute ridiculousness. I'm a frappe fan and I spend a lot of time playing videogames. (Asymmetrical horror, horror, generally creepy stuff but also BG3 and Dragon Age and other things!)

I also am back in the "on" phase of playing in tabletop campaigns! A bunch of D&D games, some VTM & an Old Gods of Appalachia campaign that's wrapping tonight (BIG SAD FEELS), with a character from there I am tossing on the TDM and hopefully apping next month! General Personality: Outgoing, friendly, overconfident, hotheaded smartass, but also chill (this can be a thing)! Always down for a fight, deflects things with fighting or humor. Sometimes both at the same time!
Character Powers: Hitting things! Also, she has Sleeper/Vileblood powers from her time in Trench/Deer Country, so her blood can be as poison to you as you want it to be.

Character Role: Legend
Living Area: I have not decided yet, but she has options!
Character's Potential: Vi will be re-figuring her life out sans sister, but she's got a general idea of where she does and doesn't want to end up.
Initial Plans: I'm always down for anything, honestly.

Self Introduction: This month at work, I was required to confirm whether or not we had any records of unknown anomalous phenomena (aka the fancy legal term for UFOs). So I have now officially informed someone that where I work has no records of UAPs. Doo doo doo. Probably the funniest thing to happen to me this month.

Character Name: Katsuki Bakugo
Canon/Canon Point: My Hero Academia | Chapter 410
Character Appearance: 17 year old 5'8" blonde type A (blood) with spiky hair and an often grumpy persona. He's coming in with a fairly injured right arm (that will get some amount of immediate healing). He's in his hero suit complete with regained gauntlets. Oh and he has a large supply of get along t-shirts.

General Personality: Katsuki is highly confident in himself and his abilities and not afraid to let other people know it. He also says what he thinks, even when it's offensive or insulting. That said, despite having an abrasive personality, he truly cares about people. He will save anyone and has his friends' backs. Oh, and he's going to bed at a reasonable hour, and nothing short of a hero-required-crisis will alter that.
Character Powers: Katsuki has a quirk called Explosion. He sweats a nitroglycerin-like substance from the palms of his hands and can explode it at will. He's gotten very good at using it to fly and to fight. You can read more in his info post.

Character Role: Legend
Living Area: Wherever can handle Bakugo, Todoroki, and Midoriya.
Character's Potential: Literal professional hero here. Shush about the fact the license is provisional. He came from a fight to save the whole damn world. Bakugo's already had villains try to recruit him because they saw potential in him to be a strong villain, but he's not interested. As an All Might fan, he sees the heroes as the good guys AND the winners. Villains are the bad guys and the losers. He genuinely wants to help people, but it'd do him some good to learn how to do that outside of official work time. Be a hero in professional and personal settings. That's where the potential as a Legend really lies. He also will have a very black and white view of Legends vs. Myths coming in, and that will need to be challenged, so he gains a better understanding of gray.
Initial Plans: Coming in with Amrita and this survival challenge stuff, it's very much like UA class exercises. He's in it to win it. So despite the remaining chances to grow his shirt collection, he will help people. Rather than viewing Folkmore as a break, he sees it as another place to be a hero. I'd love for him to meet more people, especially those who can handle his personality and not hate him for it XD (I don't expect everyone to).

I'm Mesi and play Makoto Kino, I don't think we've had a chance to tag yet. But Makoto doesn't exactly have the best temper control either. Though her temper isn't quite as explosive as Katsuki. But she's strong and likes to help others, and tends to stand up against bullies, so they might wind up arguing at some point.

Self Introduction: So I'm bad at introductions. My name is Koyu, and a lot of the time I am just personified nervousness so um. I'm sorry in advance. Hoyo games, especially Star Rail I'm not obvious about that one at all, and Wuthering Waves sort of own my soul lately, but I'm into quite a lot of fandoms. Even if most of them are probably getting pretty old by now. I will sell my soul, that I have misplaced, for friends who know Xenogears or Legend of Dragoon, but short of that I really just enjoy good stories. When the focus returns, I have many things to get into. Outside of RP I like to draw and sing? Neither really comes up much lmao

Character Name: Dan Feng
Canon/Canon Point: Like 400 years before current story. So far nothing new's come out since patch 1.4.
Character Appearance: In Folk he has a very long blue-green soft scaled dragon tail with a fluffy tuft at the end, fangs and... should anyone ever actually get the man in anything less than fully covering clothes, there's scales down his spine. Otherwise they just get this. Just. Less chains. No chains.

General Personality: ... so in canon this man had a grand total of 4 friends. He's an incredibly self-sufficient and fairly cold individual on the outside. He used to be considerably more arrogant and proud, but 300ish years imprisoned in a freezing cold and dark space to be interrogated and tortured and Generally Having A Terrible Time will wipe that right out of someone.
For the most part, only a scattered couple of people can expect any kind of warmth right away, but it's definitely possible to get there! He does have a good heart under all that quiet and cold.
Character Powers: ... so in canon, Dan Feng is literally the most powerful High Elder that the Xianzhou Luofu has ever seen. The ways we generally see this are in a rather extremely powerful ability to manipulate water (and create storms), something that can be done practically, destructively, or to heal. More often than not, the practical and healing applications of his powers will be on display in Folk... but he's certainly not the type who will shy away from battle when fighting is necessary.
This video shows quite a lot of his destructive capability. Personality tho this is more Dan Heng's waking nightmare rather than a glimpse at who Dan Feng is as a person.

... he also has the ability to turn into a dragon in canon, but that comes with more drawbacks than you'd find with, for example, Folk's familiars. Using this canon transformation detaches him quite handily from mortal empathy, and Dan Feng has had to consciously focus on those 4 friends closest to him in order to maintain any kind of grasp on that clarity. While a dragon, he does have the typical weapons of a dragon, claws/fangs etc, but his ability to manipulate water and create storms is certainly amplified. Most often this was used to rout opposing armies in war... so most likely unless some kind of panic button moment is needed, he'll not be doing this in Folk.

Character Role: Myth, since while not evil, he is very... very closed-off and prone to working alone.
Living Area: Unless someone can convince this man to live with them, he'll probably live alone in the reef residences in Tides.
Character's Potential: He's been both known as a hero and a villain in canon, but here he'll probably not lean either way at first. After 300ish years, what he wants is just... a life like any other, really. No people trying to control him like back home and certainly no more freezing cold. In the long run, he'll probably end up more likely to do good, especially as someone with healing and general medical capabilities.
Initial Plans: This man needs friends, whether he thinks he does or not. Once he's more established and comfortable as well, I do intend to add him to the healer network I peeked at during app time. Otherwise I'm generally down for most things so let's chatter?

Character Appearance: here is this dumb boy as himself and his alter ego.
General Personality: Mamoru initially comes off as aloof and stoic, like the strong, silent type. He's a good guy overall, and he's a bit of a goofball deep inside. Impeccably dressed.
Character Powers: can transform into Tuxedo Kamen, who is a defender of the galaxy just like his girlfriend. Definitely not the main character. He is there to support and defend as much as he can. he can also shoot blasts in this form.

Character Role: Familiar!
Living Area: Not sure yet. That will be figured out soon enough.
Character's Potential: He is more the hero type, but don't let him get brainwashed, okay? That's a problem.
Initial Plans: Figuring out what's going on, making sure his girlfriend's friends don't beat him up for taking too long to arrive. He'll want to settle in and see what's going on before fitting himself in where needed.

General Personality: Varric is a professional bullshitter! He's a rogue and a storyteller, a self proclaimed businessman who occasionally shoots people. He's generally friendly and charming, prone to making jokes and telling extravagant lies to avoid answering personal questions about himself. But he's also incredibly loyal and a bit of a worry wart over the people he cares about
Character Powers: Shooting things real good (though he is sadly lacking his crossbow at the moment), stealth, making traps, lock picking, other general rogue stuff.

Character Role: Familiar! His main animal form will be a griffon, and he currently has bright gold eagle eyes and a tendency to purr when content even as a dwarf
Living Area: undecided yet
Character's Potential: Varric is very, very happy to be a side character and is very much not looking to be the hero or villain in anyone's story. He's the ultimate support, and his potential will be exploring that more! I'm hoping to see him grow into accepting his capacity to do good even without being forced, and would love to explore him having a mentor role. He's going to be information gathering as much as possible - both about Folkmore and about everyone here. He'll feel bereft without his spy network
Initial Plans: Getting his bearings, mostly! I'd love to start building CR with him and get a solid group of people that he can start to look out for. I'd also love to keep going with TDM threads if folks are up for it!

I'm Janet, and this is my first attempt at an actual DWRP game in nearly a decade so excuse me if I'm slow and bad at coding or otherwise seem out of the loop; it's been slowly coming back to me! I work a boring 9-5 job that saps up all my creative energy, but when I do get to enjoy things, those things generally include Marvel, Star Wars, Disney (which makes the first two redundant, I guess), horror, psychological thrillers, board games, and a healthy interest in serial killers. I spend too much money on my dog and at Trader Joe's, and not nearly enough on traveling. I also tend to tl;dr pretty much all the time, so I'm going to forcibly cut myself off and save it for an intro plurk later today for anyone interested in adding me there!

Character Name: Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson.
Canon/Canon Point: Marvel Cinematic Universe; specifically the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, just before Strange completes his spell.
Character Appearance:

General Personality: Sarcastic and just a little too pragmatic to be a pessimist, MJ's learned to be a little less nihilistic over the years. She's smart, observant, loyal, protective, and is a strong believer in "do no harm but take no shit."
Character Powers: If you have a secret you're trying to keep, you should probably make yourself invisible to MJ, because she will find out. She's not just observant, but she's analytical enough to piece together everything she's observed and deduce the most likely possibility given the circumstances.

Character Role: Familiar
Living Area: Unsure yet, but Satori Hills looks the most like home to her, so maybe there?
Character's Potential: She's definitely more the heroic type, though she hates the idea of noble sacrifices even if she knows that sometimes there's no other way. So since she doesn't have any strong physical abilities to lean on, she's happy to be in a more support/strategic role rather than hitting the ground running. It'd be interesting to see her build up towards something more hands-on, though, but she'll definitely need time and training before that can work.
Initial Plans: Look, she's in the process of being broken up with in the TDM by the first person she's actually cared about in that way, so if she does anything other than hide under a rock and process her feelings for a while, it would be a miracle. But! She does need to process that and move on, so I'm going to opt to have her throw herself into things she might not ordinarily throw herself into, which includes potentially meeting new people and otherwise being socially active, so I'm down for all the things!

General Personality: Aemond is a horrible person. He's ambitious, he wants power, he doesn't care if he has to kill people to get it, and he has no shits for anyone who isn't Targaryen (and sometimes has no shits for other Targaryens.) Classism is a big thing in this canon and Aemond is a trueborn prince and he will call out your parentage as an insult because people care about that shit there. He's generally unpleasant unless you remind him of his sister in some way or you're his mother. I'm sorry in advance.
Character Powers: Aemond has the ability to ride dragons which is seen to be somewhat supernatural and related to lineage in his canon.

Character Role: He's a Myth.
Living Area: I'm going to find him somewhere to live in Willow, I think.
Character's Potential: Aemond is a villain who wants to be a hero but I don't think he'd ever swing from Myth to Legend. He's too twisted by circumstances to ever be someone "noble," I think, though he can occasionally be a merciful person.
Initial Plans: Right now he needs to get to know his mom who is like, his age rn and I would like him to get to know Sansa better. I want to keep all my TDM threads!

Character Name: Bill Cipher
Canon/Canon Point: Gravity Falls/The Book of Bill
Character Appearance: Much less triangular than usual, unless we have more dream/mindscape events. In the real world he's a skrunkly little middle aged man with a mullet, ram's horns, and a little devil tail.
Myth form as a link because very mild body/eye horror.



General Personality: He's a fast-talking con artist with a thirst for power and freedom. He'll promise you the secrets of the universe and then ruin your life if it gets him what he wants. He does have a soft spot for weird people, but him taking a liking to you might be even worse.

Canon point spoilers ahead:
Right now he's also extremely mentally unstable. He died and went to--well, not actually hell, but he considers it worse: therapy. Defeated, angry, and in pain, he's spent the last year in an extradimensional rehabilitation facility. It's not helping.
Character Powers: He has, for now at least, been nerfed of all supernatural abilities. But I'm fine with people being able to tell he used to be something very powerful. And if anyone can look inside his brain, he is a triangle in there.

Character Role: Myth!
Living Area: I'm still figuring that out.
Character's Potential: Right now, he's absolutely a villain. He's also wracked with guilt over events in his past, and desperately lonely.

His true potential might be processing how he feels about himself and his past and learning to move on, or learning to form healthier connections.

Is he going to do that? Unlikely. But without his powers to fall back on, he's a lot less dangerous... and has a lot less to offer people.

Character Name: Kazuya Mishima

Character Appearance:


General Personality: Kazuya is generally standoffish and prickly. He rarely does anything if he sees no advantage in doing so or if he doesn't get anything out of it. He will also expect any favors done for others to be repaid in some way, but has little interest in monetary or material gains, focusing entirely on the acquisition of power.
Character Powers:
-Superhuman durability: it's extremely difficult to dent him, and when he is injured, he heals fairly quickly
-Devil transformation: He can shift into a demonic form at will, giving him increased strength, durability, flight, and limited energy projection abilities. He prefers to not use it when possible, but will not hesitate to use it should he deem it necessary. He can shift in and out of the form instantly and will only activate it for brief bouts, or even a single punch, depending on the situation.
-Ki sparking: This is more of a note rather than an actual power, but there will be times when he exerts himself that electricity will crackle along his body. This is a physical manifestation of his aura and not actual electricity, signifying the impact or effort put behind an action.

Character Role: Myth
Living Area: Epiphany
Character's Potential: Kazuya is very much an anti-hero that often fills a villainous role. While he may claim global domination is his end goal, that's not his actual desire. He simply wants the power to never be hurt again, and domination is what he sees as the most efficient route to that goal.
Initial Plans: At the moment, the plan is to have Kazuya run several small Yakuza-esque rackets with the goal of putting him in conflict with other star children until he gets a decent idea of everyone's general abilities. I'd also like him to work on either improving a training dojo that already exists or establishing one for himself so as to build up potential sparring partners to his level, and to augment his own training.
