Check-in opens on the 1st at 12:01 AM EST.
Check-in closes on the 8th at 11:59 PM EST.
We do not require traditional "activity" check-ins, but we do require an interest check-in to ensure that our players are present and still interested in the characters they play.
You will be required to check-in during the 1-8th of the month. If you cannot access a computer during this time, please let a mod or friend know so they can check-in for you.
You must check in your individual characters. If you fail to check in with any characters, they will be swept from the game.
If you missed check-in due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the mods ASAP and let them know the situation.
We ask our players to be active in the game even without formal activity check requirements. If we notice any concerning patterns with the same players missing check-ins and being swept from the game or being irresponsible with check-ins or squatting we will contact the player directly. This may include restrictions from reapplication into the game or actual activity requirements.
Please respect your fellow players and mods! We want to keep this game activity-requirement-free and active.
Anatomy Of Check-In
Every player will have an overall check-in comment with their name as the subject line. Every character a player writes will have a comment with their name and fandom as the subject line. Each month, players need to post a comment under each character's comment with the month and year in the subject line.

We do not want links to threads, OOC explanations, or apologies. Folkmore is a chill game, and it's completely fine to have not played much.
We welcome and encourage handwaving. Give us something your character did in the background or plans you have to back thread. Note handwaved interactions you discussed with other players. Many players use their check-in posts as records of important beats their characters experienced.
The bottom line is to show you have some OOC idea what is going on IC, even when you're not actively able to RP, to demonstrate your continued interest in the game with the character.

Summarized Activity: Vi arrived and was reunited with her sworn sister, Sansa, as well as other people (that she had various degrees of good feelings for) from Trench, and settled into living with Sansa. She got to spar over snacks! She got to ride a dragon (Nill, whom she later sketched as a tattoo idea), had some drunken shenanigans testing the limits of her vileblood alcohol tolerance (Sharon approves!), and found herself in a bit of trouble when she almost drowned in Epiphany (ran into Razor and Casey) but was rescued by Varric. She re-met different versions of people she'd previously known from both home and Trench (Bakugo, Viktor, Makoto), and had lots of network conversations with people.
Got a little screwed up by the network 'glitch' and hearing her sister, Vander and ...Silco. Doesn't know how to feel about it, so she's stuffing it down because that's healthy.
Amrita seemed to know she likes to feed people, so into cooking she went, and she wasn't mad at it. Late to the party, her Omen showed their face! Vi's agreed to participate in Sansa's upcoming fashion show as well as a talent show, made some food deliveries and has also agreed to deliver blood to vampires if that's become a thing. A laser maze with a curry prize at the end might be in her future, or possibly has already happened! As usual, she's running her mouth and meeting all the people.
And leaning into her Westerosi title because f yeah finally she gets to like USE IT use it.

Summarized Activity: Vi has been doing cooking things, DEFINITELY participated in the games, has been meeting people via Pandora's Fox and is helping haul things to build the nest for the Turtle because she has experience hauling things. Things have been pretty chill, and there are also tag-ins I would like to do WHEN DRILLING STOPS. She met a Sansa doppelganger (???!!!) and some other various people whilst doing cleanup. NILL FED HER AT SOME POINT.
