Check-in opens on the 1st at 12:01 AM EST.
Check-in closes on the 8th at 11:59 PM EST.
We do not require traditional "activity" check-ins, but we do require an interest check-in to ensure that our players are present and still interested in the characters they play.
You will be required to check-in during the 1-8th of the month. If you cannot access a computer during this time, please let a mod or friend know so they can check-in for you.
You must check in your individual characters. If you fail to check in with any characters, they will be swept from the game.
If you missed check-in due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the mods ASAP and let them know the situation.
We ask our players to be active in the game even without formal activity check requirements. If we notice any concerning patterns with the same players missing check-ins and being swept from the game or being irresponsible with check-ins or squatting we will contact the player directly. This may include restrictions from reapplication into the game or actual activity requirements.
Please respect your fellow players and mods! We want to keep this game activity-requirement-free and active.
Anatomy Of Check-In
Every player will have an overall check-in comment with their name as the subject line. Every character a player writes will have a comment with their name and fandom as the subject line. Each month, players need to post a comment under each character's comment with the month and year in the subject line.

We do not want links to threads, OOC explanations, or apologies. Folkmore is a chill game, and it's completely fine to have not played much.
We welcome and encourage handwaving. Give us something your character did in the background or plans you have to back thread. Note handwaved interactions you discussed with other players. Many players use their check-in posts as records of important beats their characters experienced.
The bottom line is to show you have some OOC idea what is going on IC, even when you're not actively able to RP, to demonstrate your continued interest in the game with the character.

General backtagging, per the norm (glitterbomb gift-hunting with April, trying to help Draxum get acclimated to the new setting, finally living his dream of being punched by the planet thanks to Toph, inviting Emporio to have a chill hang-out sometime to see if small parties are more his speed), and also some dreamscape escape room diving!
those are all still in progress, but Casey's has been especially challenging so far because Raph is finally getting a look at the brand of Future Hellscape Casey actually came from. turns out it's extremely bad and everyone really is super dead? hate that.

Stayed Big Mad at Donatello for not telling him ahead of time (ICly) that Leo's procedure might put him into a mystic coma, an issue yet to be unpacked. Tried to explain to Power that it shouldn't be legal to let Meowy pick a favorite between him and his little brother because that turns the scales against him!!! Some general little TFLN bits and backtagging on old stuff, as u do.

He went to Rue and Hob's wedding and presumably cried during the ceremony like a big softie, only to go full rowdy with Steph Brown at the reception. He introduced himself to his neighbor (Rin), gave his group-text greetings to Rue's friend from home (Andhera), and! Acquired Mikey, the final Infinity Stone in the Hamato clan gauntlet.

Which mostly involved hanging out on park benches bonding over liking cats with people, and trying to help wrangle/protect some de-aged characters. He's also having an awkward ol' time trying to figure out where he stands with his nerdiest brother and talking about anger issues™️ with Peter Parker. Apart from that he's just been vibin.

Unfortunately he also died shortly after that. But yknow, the shortcut to the rest of the population isn't the worst thing in the world.
