We are sorry to see you go! We hope you enjoyed your time in Folkmore. Be aware that if you drop entirely (all characters) from Folkmore you will need to be invited back in.

Please let us know you are dropping in the appropriate section below so we can process your drop.

When a character is dropped, the character will become stardust and return to space. It is unknown if the characters goes home or if they go elsewhere in the universe.

Characters will know when a character has been dropped. They will see their close CR appear to them as a stardust-type ghost, waving, before they vanish. Alternatively, they will see that their Foxi profile is no longer accessible.

Hiatus

Characters on hiatus have two options: they can either go about their daily lives or fall into a deep coma, their bodies shining like starlight, suspended in the air.

We do not allow hiatuses with an estimated period of 3+ months. If you frequently take hiatuses and spend more time on hiatus than in the game, we may ask you to drop until things have cleared up. This is in fairness to other players. We are always willing to make accommodations for unique exceptions: please just let a mod know either on this page or privately.

If on hiatus, the player will not have to check in manually; the mods will take care of it.

Character Name: Dan Heng
Update Details: From Update 1.1 to 1.5 - start of Argenti companion quest.

After stepping up to the dock, Dan Heng crosses the waters to the most sacred place of his people. He runs into the student of General Jing Yuan, Yanqing just before Blade the undying Stellaron hunter confronts him. Yanqing tries to intervene but, Dan Heng is run through.

He is forced to drop his guise and reveal his true form—the exiled High Elder. Yanqing turns on him and Blade joins Dan Heng to repel him. Defeated, Yanqing rises to fight again and is thwarted by General Jing Yuan. The General sends the Stellaron hunters away. He takes Dan Heng further into the Scalegorge Waterscape. Jing Yuan didn't give him a choice in what he had to do, for only he could unseal the churning waters. He reached into himself and unsealed it.

March, Caelus, and Welt, along with General Jing Yuan, descended into the Waterscape, and Dan Heng broke the last seal. They headed inside to stop the revival of the Ambrosial Arbor. The one behind it, a general of the god of destruction, used the great tree's power to form a new body for herself. They fight. In the battle, Jing Yuan is snatched up and he and Dan Heng use the distraction to defeat her body.

As she departs, the general collapses. In the days after, Dan Heng is given a full pardon and no longer exiled. He takes the opportunity to reach out to the current high elder of the Vidyadhara. The council of elders below the high elder has in their clutches. Her attendant tries to prevent Dan Heng from meeting her. What follows is a plot from the Preceptors to try to seize power by killing the current high elder and taking possession of Dan Heng. This fails, and the combined powers of Dan Heng and Bailu reseal the Arbor.

Dan Heng promises to work with her to study medicine and help their people. Dan Heng stays on the express to recover for a while. Until he gets a letter from Jinglu. He returns to the Loufu. Jinglu requests all of her old friends to return to the Scalegorge waterscape one final time. She speaks of the past, urging Dan Heng to remember. Fragments of memory rise from the fog of his memories. Ultimately, her bitter words are underscored by her telling him to find his way in this universe. With a heavy heart, Dan Heng returns to the Express. As they are traveling through space, the express is blocked by a mysterious force. And a strange red-haired knight boards the express with his pilot companion.

Mental or Physical Changes: Dan Heng has accepted that there are things he can do to make up for his past self's sins. Some of his aversion to his true form is gone. But, he still prefers his guise. It is his face, not that of the high elder line. He is more willing to explore and find his way beyond the limited views the preceptors tried to keep him under. No physical changes. Now his real form has been revealed, I'll add his powers to his public app page and can send them to you first for review if you wish.
